Chapter 20: Your Elf Maid Is Online Now!
“It looks like the Demon Army is about to win on the west side.”
In the morning, Lolth sat by the stream in the White Elf Interrogation Chamber, taking a bite of soft-boiled egg on toast. She frowned as she looked at the newly delivered war report in the Interrogation Department.
Tina, who was carefully placing the soft-boiled egg between two slices of bread, heard this news and couldn’t help but shudder, causing the egg to slip off the table.
With a crack, the egg yolk splattered everywhere, even onto her clothes.
“The west side has been defeated?” she asked, trying to keep her voice calm.
The relaxed life over the past three days and Lolth’s lack of any extra actions had done little to stop Tina from overthinking and making wild guesses. However, as Tina realized she had no inclination to “continue to fall,” she started to relax considerably.
But today, with just a casual remark from Lolth, Tina was reminded once again.
She was still in the midst of a war.
She was a captive princess of the Moon Elves, and the person in front of her was a Succubus Interrogator from the Demon Army.
“Not yet. The battle reports show only half of the Anti-demon Great Wall outpost has been captured, and the three major fortresses are still resisting,” Lolth explained casually while having breakfast, not noticing Tina’s reaction. “But it’s only a matter of time… They say Shelldor successfully anticipated a flank attack by the Holy Alliance. This dragon lady is much cleverer than I thought…”
Lolth was unaware that both the frontline reports and Shelldor’s victories had something to do with her.
In fact, her role in Shelldor’s successes might have been even greater than Shelldor’s own.
“How could it be…”
Tina muttered.
Looking at the dazed Tina, Lolth finally realized she might have said something that upset the Elf Princess.
Although she could remain calm, even if the Demon Army lost…
But this young girl might not be as forgiving.
After all, beyond the western front lay the Moonrise Mountains, where her homeland was located!
Thinking of this, and to keep Tina’s rare days of normalcy going, Lolth quickly comforted the elven girl.
“Oh, be more optimistic. This time the Demon Army has sent the entire Second Legion for a surprise attack. They are powerful enough; the conquest of the Holy Alliance’s defense line is just a matter of time,” Lolth earnestly analyzed the situation for Tina. “Do you really think the hastily built Anti-demon Great Wall — strengthened with anti-demon materials along with a few watchtowers and automated defense formations — is indestructible?”
Stuffing the rest of the bread and fried eggs into her mouth, Lolth continued, “By holding the Demon Army at bay in the desolate wastelands near the entrance to the Abyss of the Northern Border for two years, we have established a defense line extending for miles, which is indeed something to be proud of. But… the Demon Army is no pushover, as their strength has been concentrated in one place. Once our Demon King decides to focus on one direction, they are likely to succeed! If someone’s child cries every day, if someone’s older brother loses constantly, that’s war. It’s not fair to think that only you can win and not the Demon Army!”
Hearing Lolth’s words, Tina looked even more dejected.
“You’re right…”
Lolth seemed to realize her words had backfired on Tina, so she scratched her head and changed the subject.
“Oh, you got egg yolk on your clothes… You should change out of this outfit. I’ll go find you a new one!”
Tina heard Lolth’s words and shivered all over.
“New… new clothes!”
She looked at Lolth, and all she could think of were the indescribable styles of clothing she had seen in picture books.
Clothing that only covered certain parts, clothing that didn’t cover any important parts, clothing that covered everything except the important parts… There were all kinds of materials and styles. Some looked like just a piece of fabric, others even looked like just a piece of string!
After all, what kind of proper clothes could a succubus have?
Tina completely ignored the plain round-neck long-sleeved shirt and pants that Lolth was currently wearing.
“Indeed, the past few days of playing were just waiting for this ‘moment,’ preparing for this very moment!” Tina thought sadly.
She must have intentionally told me about the upcoming exposure of the Western Front!
Those long speeches just now were to enjoy seeing my restless appearance!
Then, when I worry about my homeland, she will completely possess and violate me, thoroughly humiliating me!
She must have planned to let the Demon Army and Abyssal Demons conquer me and the western front together — that must be her plan!
Truly, this succubus is a completely evil and chaotic character.
As Tina thought this, she couldn’t summon any resistance.
“Let’s go. I’ll take you to find some useful clothes — um… ones that should fit well!”
Lolth said this and stood up, walking towards the door.
Tina obediently followed behind her.
Their destination was the storage and office area above the dedicated interrogation room.
This was supposed to be Lolth’s office in theory, but she hardly used it.
After all, there needed to be a few rooms keeping the Abyssal vibes for receiving colleagues who might come to negotiate with her.
Lolth didn’t like the Abyssal dark and gothic-style decoration, so she naturally rarely visited these rooms.
Some things she didn’t need were naturally left here.
For example, some interrogation tools that came with the Interrogation Department previously.
Stepping into a storage room and looking at the piles of whips, shackles, torture devices, binding racks, straitjackets, and similar items, Tina felt a sense of unease once again.
And Lolth also started searching through the pile.
Boxes were moved one by one, looking bloodstained, as if she could hear the torture devices leaving the screams of souls being casually thrown around.
Finally, Lolth exclaimed in surprise.
“Found it!”
She dragged out a wooden treasure chest from the corner and opened it.
“Back then, the Interrogation Department had many other demons helping me, but to prevent them from reporting me for slacking off to the Demon King, and because those guys were boring and had terrible taste buds, I had to come up with excuses to send them away one by one…”
Lolth said nostalgically.
“However, some of their clothes from that time are still here. I remember one that’s about your size!”
Saying this, she unfolded a piece of clothing.
Tina looked at the black-and-white dress with ruffles on the collar and hem that appeared in front of her and was once again stunned.
Even though it was not too revealing or suggestive, it still made her feel extremely embarrassed.
“Maid outfit!”
Tina exclaimed.
