Chapter 134: My Teleportation Is Ridiculously Off
(Monthly Ticket Extra Update 6)
Lolth had two pressing concerns.
On one hand, the Holy Alliance was proving to be infuriatingly foolish. Despite her efforts to mislead them with false intelligence—causing the Demon Army to scatter its forces across Vera Plain—the Alliance had managed to botch their surprise attack. Instead of capitalizing on her deception, they had been decisively defeated by Shelldor and his forces.
This meant that instead of alleviating her workload, her misinformation had only made things worse.
On the other hand, Lolth feared what might happen if the Holy Alliance retaliated with overwhelming force. Should they deploy a massive army or unleash their elder “monsters” to seek revenge, it could spell trouble for Shelldor and the Demon Army.
This was not an outcome she wanted to see.
Her reasons were twofold.
First, she genuinely cared about some of the Demon Army’s commanders. Over time, a sense of camaraderie had developed, albeit begrudgingly.
Second, Lolth had poured significant effort into the Hillenbrand Town project. The first phase was complete, and the second was progressing steadily. She had invested countless hours, resources, and energy into it. The thought of abandoning it all was simply unbearable.
Not to mention Kanor, the young girl from the project. Sweet, talented, and a fantastic cook, Kanor had completely charmed Lolth. Every interaction deepened her fondness for the girl.
But as a demon, Lolth couldn’t very well take Kanor back to Demon King Castle to suffer under its oppressive atmosphere, could she?
Determined to keep the situation under control, Lolth formulated a strategy.
Her goal was to ensure that the Holy Alliance achieved only minor gains—or even accepted small losses—while ensuring the Demon Army suffered no significant setbacks.
To do this, she needed to maintain her anonymity while gathering critical intelligence about the Holy Alliance’s plans.
If their forces were too strong, she could quietly use space magic to teleport some of the stronger opponents away. If their forces were too weak, she could rescue any high-value individuals at risk of capture and send them home.
However, this required a strong alibi.
The challenge lay in her reputation. Despite her claims that the Space Magic Array in the torture tower was merely a relic she had unearthed, many within the Demon Army equated her with “space magic.”
If any space magic was detected, suspicion would inevitably fall on her.
To avoid detection, Lolth decided on a dual approach.
By spending her mornings at Hillenbrand Town and immediately teleporting to the Loess Plateau near the Holy Alliance’s new Western Front, she could observe the Alliance’s movements while maintaining her cover.
With trusted confidantes like Kululu, Tina, and Isabella aware of her plans, Lolth was confident that the townsfolk would vouch for her if questioned.
Her plan wasn’t foolproof, but it lacked any glaring flaws.
“Now, it’s time to change my appearance!”
Though succubi were known for their ability to alter their appearance, Lolth had yet to awaken that talent. She also avoided the standard transformations into alluring figures designed to appeal to popular tastes.
Instead, Lolth opted for simplicity.
She tied her hair up neatly and concealed the sharp points on her head with a farmer’s straw hat. A light dusting of powder hid her complexion, and colored contact lenses altered her eye color. She then donned plain linen clothes.
Her transformation complete, she resembled a modest country girl. She was still pretty, but only in the way a village beauty might be—not enough to draw undue attention.
With her magical aura suppressed to that of an ordinary person, she was confident no one would recognize her.
Using a map, Lolth identified a suitable hiding spot on the Loess Plateau.
There, near the Holy Alliance’s defensive line, was a high hill offering a clear view. The area was dotted with small villages, none of which had been occupied by the Demon Army. It served as a buffer zone between the two forces.
Dressed as a nomadic shepherd, Lolth would easily blend in with the locals.
To complete her disguise, Lolth visited the Demon Army’s breeding area. Temporarily revealing her true identity to the villagers, she procured five lambs.
In a secluded spot, she activated a long-distance teleportation spell. Though her magic lacked precise coordinates, it was accurate enough for her purposes.
Moments later, Lolth appeared on a grassy hill on the Loess Plateau with her lambs in tow.
Donning her straw hat once more, Lolth began her work.
With a small whip in hand, she guided the lambs to graze while carefully observing the Holy Alliance’s new Western Front.
Activating her hidden perception magic, Lolth was immediately startled.
The area was swarming with human Superoperators.
Three legendary-level individuals.
Five epic-level.
Countless extraordinary and elite levels.
Not to mention numerous formal and apprentice ranks.
Even more shocking, the presence of ordinary soldiers seemed overwhelming.
How could this be?
Most of these forces were behind her. Had an organized army already infiltrated Vera Plain?
But something didn’t add up. These forces weren’t attempting to conceal their presence.
If they had truly advanced this far, Shelldor and the Demon Army’s Second Army would have detected it by now.
As Lolth pondered the situation, a human soldier approached her.
“Hey, little girl, you can’t herd sheep here!”
The soldier, clad in leather armor and carrying a bow, hurried toward her.
“The frontline against the demon race is just ahead. It’s dangerous—they could attack at any moment!”
Lolth froze for a moment, then buried her face in her hands.
“Damn it, this is ridiculous!”
Though her teleportation spell had been somewhat accurate in distance…
It had dropped her inside the Holy Alliance’s defensive line.
She was now within the Republic of Seychelles!
