Volume 3 Chapter 7
by Golden DragonVolume 3 + Chapter 7: Punishment
“Alright, you all can head back now. It’s just the start of the school term, and your respective classes probably have plenty of matters to deal with. I’ll speak with President Ouyang alone about club-related affairs.”
After walking some distance toward the student council office, Bai Yuxuan spoke to the group behind her.
“Yes.” With that, aside from Xia Bingdie, who had run off earlier in tears, the other three returned to their respective classrooms.
“Come in.” After confirming the three had gone far enough, Bai Yuxuan opened the door to the student council office and spoke to Ouyang Qianxue.
“Have a seat.” She moved a chair beside her desk.
“Thank you.” However, after taking the chair, Ouyang Qianxue deliberately shifted it backward a bit before sitting down.
“Why sit so far away? I’m not going to eat you,” Bai Yuxuan said with a smirk, licking her finger.
“That’s not something I’d bet on. You’re far too scheming, I wouldn’t be surprised if you’re plotting something again. Anyway, didn’t you say you wanted to discuss club matters? Let’s get started.”
“Are you stupid?” Bai Yuxuan sighed, rubbing her forehead.
“Huh?”
“If I really wanted to discuss club affairs, would I need to call you here alone to the student council office?”
“Then… what do you want?” Hearing that he had ulterior motives, Ouyang Qianxue immediately grew wary.
“Just to talk with my one and only friend.”
For a moment, Ouyang Qianxue froze, then burst into laughter.
“Pfft, hahaha! This morning you didn’t even want to talk to me, and now you’re in such a hurry?”
“I was worried people might discover our relationship,” Bai Yuxuan replied. Her previously expressionless face flushed slightly at his laughter.
“But you’ve still got the nerve to laugh at me? Looks like I’ll have to teach you a lesson.” Suddenly, Bai Yuxuan stood up and placed both hands on the sides of his chair.
With her arms braced, she effectively pinned Ouyang Qianxue beneath her.
“W–what are you doing?” His face showed a flicker of panic as he stared at her, now less than ten centimeters away.
“What am I doing? Giving you a lesson. I haven’t forgotten the time you made me act as your maid.”
“I was just joking, act normal!” He pushed against her with both hands, trying desperately to create distance. But his injuries hadn’t fully healed, leaving him weak and lacking strength.
“Hmph. This is the only way to make you behave. Are you a natural masochist or something?”
“You’re the masochist!” he shot back, struggling even harder.
“Don’t move. If you so much as budge, I’ll move five centimeters closer.” Seeing the seriousness in her eyes, Ouyang Qianxue immediately froze.
Bai Yuxuan slowly leaned closer to his ear.
“Wang Shiman is the one backing you, isn’t she?”
Hearing this, Ouyang Qianxue fell silent, his gaze drifting away.
“Even if you don’t admit it, I’ve already figured it out. The song you used in your match against Ning Caiwei was hers. And when you were asked about your relationship with Wang Shiman, you clearly hesitated.”
“……” He remained silent.
“So it’s true…” Bai Yuxuan let out a deep sigh.
“I’ve lost my position as the official heir, I’m no match for Wang Shiman now. I’ve never hated my own powerlessness more than I do at this moment. You’ve already done so much for me…”
She slammed her fist into the wall, leaving a crack behind. A few drops of blood trickled down from her knuckles.
“I didn’t do those things expecting anything in return. And Wang Shiman isn’t a bad person, she’s more like a benefactor to me. It’s just that I betrayed her.” Ouyang Qianxue gently held her hand as he spoke.
“I’m sorry… it’s all because of me…” Bai Yuxuan said, filled with guilt.
“Honestly, why are you still hung up on this? I already said it was my own choice. If you still feel you owe me, then be my maid for another day.” He smiled lightly.
“Oh? You’re still thinking about that? Looks like I really need to discipline you properly today.” Bai Yuxuan’s expression turned mischievous again.
“If you want me to be your maid so badly, I’ll make you relive the days when you were mine. Do you remember what happened in the study that day?” She pressed one leg against his, restricting his movement.
“Huh?” Seeing her calculating smile, a few beads of cold sweat formed on Ouyang Qianxue’s forehead.
“You don’t remember? Then I’ll help you recall it properly.” As she spoke, she reached out, preparing to remove his shoes.
“Knock, knock, knock.” At that moment, the office door was gently tapped.
“Yuxuan-senpai, are you there?” Xia Bingdie’s voice came from outside.
“Come in.”
After receiving her response, Xia Bingdie entered the office. At that moment, Ouyang Qianxue was seated across from Bai Yuxuan, his hair slightly disheveled.
Xia Bingdie glanced at him before walking up to Bai Yuxuan.
“I’m sorry, Yuxuan-senpai. I acted on my own this time and caused the student council to lose face in front of everyone.” She lowered her head, bracing herself for reprimand.
However, Bai Yuxuan did not get angry. Instead, she stepped closer and spoke softly into her ear.
“Xia Bingdie, after I left the middle school division’s student council, you took over as president, didn’t you?” After a long silence, she finally spoke.
“Yes.”
“Then having been a leader for a year, you should understand what kind of subordinates a leader dislikes the most, right?” She stood up and looked down at her, her gaze as cold as winter river water.
“I…”
“The answer is those who are self-righteous and act on their own initiative without permission!” As she finished speaking, Xia Bingdie shuddered.
“You not only acted on your own, but also made the student council lose face in public. So tell me, how should I punish you?” She bent slightly, meeting her eyes.
“I’m truly sorry, Yuxuan-senpai. I’m willing to accept any punishment, but please don’t expel me from the student council!” Her eyes reddened, as leaving the council would mean losing all connection with her.
“Bai Yuxuan, just forgive her. Her actions may have been improper, but she did go to the Go Club for your sake. As the Go Club president, I’ve already forgiven her, so why not give her another chance?” Ouyang Qianxue interjected.
“Hmph. My people are none of your concern.” Bai Yuxuan shot back before turning his attention to Xia Bingdie again.
“Now, I will announce your punishment.”
