Chapter 768
by fanqienovelChapter 768: Xuan Jun
In the Central Continent, at the main city of the Qingxuan Sect,
Xu Fan and Xu Yuexian strolled down the most bustling street in the main city.
"Master, this place feels much more prosperous than back home," Xu Yuexian remarked, glancing through the doorway of a commercial guild where Dao tools were prominently displayed.
Additionally, the cultivators they encountered in the main city had notably strong cultivation levels.
"After fighting and developing for hundreds of thousands of years, they’ve gained the upper hand and have been drawing resources from those two middle thousand worlds for ages. Naturally, they’re a bit better off than us," Xu Fan acknowledged with a nod.
Xu Fan quickly sensed the atmosphere and realized there were six Great Ascension Masters in the main city alone.
The sheer concentration of Great Ascension Masters here far surpassed that of the cultivation world.
"Let’s head over to that commercial guild and see if they have anything interesting," Xu Fan suggested.
He led Xu Yuexian toward the most lavishly decorated guild, sensing something intriguing emanating from within.
"Welcome, dear guests! How may I assist you today?" a staff member at the entrance greeted them with a warm smile.
"Bring us the best treasures and pills your guild has to offer," Xu Yuexian said confidently, knowing someone else would cover the cost.
"Please follow me to the private room," the staff member replied, recognizing them as high-value customers.
Inside the private room, a young tea girl at the Golden Core Stage was preparing tea for Xu Fan and Xu Yuexian.
Her graceful movements accentuated her elegant figure, and the aroma of the tea she brewed pleased Xu Fan, who nodded in approval.
Though elaborate tea preparation doesn’t necessarily reflect the tea’s quality, it certainly makes the experience feel more refined.
After the tea girl’s artistic performance, Xu Fan and Xu Yuexian finally took their first sip.
"After all this, it feels wrong not to buy something," Xu Yuexian transmitted teasingly.
"I sensed the presence of celestial tools in this guild, which is why I brought you here."
"If you see anything you like, go ahead and buy it. I’ve given you plenty of treasures over the years—you can trade them for currency in the South Mountain Realm," Xu Fan replied.
Just then, the staff member who had greeted them earlier entered, carrying a tray.
"Dear friends, these are the top-tier treasures from our guild. Allow me to introduce them to you."
He picked up a Spiritual Sword from the tray and began his pitch.
"This is the renowned Qingxuan Sword, a celestial tool crafted by the artifact great master of the Qingxuan Sect."
"Our guild went to great lengths to acquire this sword."
"This celestial sword’s primary attribute is wind, and it…" The staff member continued, his tone sounding rehearsed.
Xu Fan felt no urge to buy after listening to the overly polished sales pitch.
"How much for this celestial sword?" Xu Fan asked, considering it as a gift for Wang Xiangchi, as it seemed well-suited for him.
"Nine hundred Immortal Jade," the staff member replied with a smile.
"Can’t I pay with spirit stones?" Xu Yuexian inquired.
The staff member shook his head apologetically.
"I’ll take this Immortal Sword; please show me the next item."
"The Heavy Sky Hammer, one of our guild’s two signature treasures, crafted from Sky Repair Stones and Thunder God Iron…"
"Sold."
The staff member’s lips curled into a smile.
"The Dragon Trusting Cauldron is…"
"Sold."
The staff member was instantly thrilled, realizing he had met a big spender today.
Xu Yuexian gently tugged at Xu Fan’s sleeve.
"Master, you’re an artifact great master; why are you buying celestial tools from others?"
"Don’t worry. These celestial tools seem quite affordable, so I’ll stock up for the treasury," Xu Fan replied with a grin.
He hadn’t expected to pay for celestial tools with Immortal Jade here.
Thanks to his frugal habits, he now had two hundred thousand Immortal Jade in his treasury.
Xu Fan bought eight celestial tools in one go, leaving the staff member nearly speechless with excitement.
"F-friend, you’ve cleared out our guild’s centuries-old stock of celestial tools."
"Send me a list of the spirit ore for celestial tools your guild has; I want to see if there’s anything else I need," Xu Fan said, still eager for more.
At that moment, Xu Fan’s true form teleported over from the teleportation formation, merging with the clone sitting in the guild.
"Please wait a moment, dear guests. Our manager will be here shortly," the staff member said, stepping back.
"Please enjoy some tea." The young tea girl began her performance again.
But soon, she was replaced by a stunning woman at the Core Formation stage, even more beautiful and refined.
"Looks like the service has been upgraded," Xu Fan chuckled.
Xu Fan and Xu Yuexian left the guild, and three hours had already passed.
The sky had darkened, and a bright moon hung high.
The Milky Way stretched across the sky, dotted with twinkling stars.
Xu Fan gazed at the stars and did some quick calculations.
Without the teleportation formation, it would likely take a lifetime to reach the South Mountain Realm.
"Let’s find an inn first and ask about the powerful beings in the South Mountain Realm tomorrow," Xu Fan suggested.
"What else do the esteemed guests need to know? I can share any information directly with you."
A handsome young man in a white Dao robe appeared nearby.
He exuded warmth and elegance, embodying the demeanor of a true gentleman.
"Who are you, friend?" Xu Fan asked, narrowing his eyes at the sudden arrival.
He sensed the aura of the sun, moon, and stars from the man and judged from his presence that his fighting strength could rank among the top thirty in the Elder Council.
"I am Xuan Jun, the head of the Qingxuan Sect. May I ask for your esteemed title?" Xuan Jun inquired politely.
Feeling the aura emanating from Xu Fan, he didn’t dare to show any negligence.
"Grand Elder of the Hidden Spirit Sect, Wandao," Xu Fan casually made up a title.
"My second disciple under the Grand Elder of the Hidden Spirit Sect, Yuexian," Xu Yuexian introduced herself.
"Wandao, please join me at the Qingxuan Sect for a discussion," Xuan Jun invited graciously.
Xu Fan nodded.
Inside a grand palace, Xu Fan met the five Grand Elders of the Qingxuan Sect and Xuan Jun, the head.
Among the sect’s six invincible respected elders, one Grand Elder was comparable to Ming Kong of the Elder Council.
"Welcome, Wandao, to our Qingxuan Sect," the leading Grand Elder said warmly.
"My disciple and I happened to be passing through; I never expected the South Mountain Realm to be so prosperous," Xu Fan said with a smile.
"The South Mountain Realm has developed over hundreds of thousands of years and thrived for tens of thousands. What you see now is the result of our predecessors’ efforts," the Grand Elder replied politely.
Xu Fan nodded, understanding that someone had to take action sooner or later.
The Grand Elder of the Qingxuan Sect looked at Xu Fan with great enthusiasm, sensing an aura from him that matched the three strongest respected elders of their South Mountain Realm.
This aura was intentionally displayed by Xu Fan to avoid unnecessary trouble and prevent any foolish individuals from causing drama.
"If you two friends are interested in the powerful beings and history of the South Mountain Realm, I can have Xuan Jun provide you with a detailed introduction," the Grand Elder offered with a smile.
"That would be wonderful," Xu Fan replied.
