Chapter 629
by fanqienovelChapter 629: Even the First Living Saint Finds It Hard to Understand
The so-called "Living Saints" were the mortals closest to the Giant God.
Although, there were doubts about whether a Living Saint who had a "divine rank" and an "avatar body" could still be called a mortal.
In some sects among the Giant God followers, Living Saints had even become "sub-deities" worshiped under the Giant God, not just "representatives."
But the Living Saints refused to admit this.
Still, no one doubted that the words of every Living Saint held some of the Giant God’s will.
But the words of the First Living Saint held even more of the "Giant God’s will."
Many mortals couldn’t grasp the Giant God’s actions, but the First Living Saint could give clear explanations!
For example, right then, the Giant God told them to do things hard for mortals to understand—"The deity burial mixed with the primordial and the Fire Domain."
The last Divine Battle was huge and shaking!
Though mortals were far from the fight, they heard the angry shouts of the deities, the crashes of the colossal divine bodies, and the loud sounds of tons of power stomping the Earth clearly in the "Giant God Fire Domain."
Especially at the battle’s end, the dying cries of the deities and their scared screams as they ran made mortals shake with fear and feel excited!
The Giant God was their ruler, and His power made mortals tremble.
The Giant God was also the enemy of evil gods, and His strength scared the Great Plan’s blockers badly; it gave great honor and pride to the mortals and deities who chose to give themselves for the Great Plan.
This was even more true when the Giant God pulled the big bodies of the beaten demons into the space outside the "Giant God Fire Domain."
Mortals got wild with joy!
But soon, the Giant God made them do odd things…
He ordered the First Living Saint to call and gather more "void battleships" and "Giant God Hand-level" working ships.
Then…
The Giant God cruelly and bloodily cut up the beaten demon god right in front of the mortals!
Divine blood flew everywhere.
Big chunks of divine flesh and divine bones, as large as stones, flew with the red liquid.
These things smashed around, becoming gifts the Giant God gave to mortals.
But Sulya knew this wasn’t just giving; it was training and teaching!
"The Giant God, by tearing other deities’ divine bodies, showed us their flesh and blood flying."
"This was His way of telling us—look, deities aren’t so great after all!"
"They, like us mortals, can be ripped apart by stronger powers!"
"Mortals can respect and honor deities, but must never back down from evil gods."
"Because anyone against the Great Plan will get punished in the end!"
Up to then, it all made sense…
But after that…
Things went so far that even Sulya felt stuck and couldn’t keep up.
The Giant God did not, as before, devour the torn divine flesh directly. Instead, he commanded the Primal Earth Spirits to dig up large amounts of Primal Mud. He also ordered the void battleships and working ships to find and cut down numerous "planes of leaves."
These so-called "planes of leaves" are thin membrane planes extending into the void from either the Giant God World Tree or the Fantasy Tree of Subspace. These membrane planes contain many strange structures capable of converting the chaotic energies from the Fire Domain, the void, and primordial sources into "stable energy" that powers the World Tree or Fantasy Tree. Precisely because of this function, these planes of leaves typically grow exceptionally vast, expanding into massive platforms!
Yet the Giant God demanded his spawn cut down these membrane planes—even summoning several Star-Eater Plutonium Dragons wandering nearby to assist. Afterward, he told his spawn to wrap the divine flesh with these membrane planes, then gradually seal them with Primal Mud, building "primordial shells" around each piece of divine flesh.
"Huh…"
This bizarre operation even left Sulya—who knew the Giant God best—speechless.
But the First Living Saint was, after all, the First Living Saint. She quickly "understood" the Giant God’s "true purpose"!
"The Giant God has improved the Fire Domain Sacrifice burial ritual!"
"This must be preparation for an even grander plan!"
"Or a rehearsal!"
"Brave warriors!"
"Do not despair because you cannot fight on the battlefield or join the Giant God’s divine war!"
"For this is the rehearsal the Giant God arranged for our future!"
"While other gods still scramble for power and revel in combat, the Giant God has long foreseen peace’s arrival!"
"Though I grasp only the tiniest fraction of the Giant God’s Great Plan, this ‘burial’ method must be rehearsing the sealing of an opponent He cannot fully destroy!"
"And this…"
"Requires the united effort of all mortals and gods!"
…
"So that’s it!"
"Great is the Giant God!"
"The Giant God’s vision stretches so far…"
"Yet an enemy even the Giant God cannot fully destroy…"
"Could it be… the First Demon God Barbatos!?"
…
While mortals debated fervently, the Giant God did something utterly unexpected.
—-
"Good! Good!"
"Little ones, you’ve done excellently!"
“Hmm…”
Trilobite bent down to check the meat chunks wrapped in large leaves and covered in yellow mud by the “Trilobite spawn.”
“Thud… thud…”
He tapped them a few times with his claws and found them solid.
“Not bad!”
“Now, next step!”
“Barbecue!”
Though he regretted and reflected on his “fall” for a moment, he couldn’t ignore the meat right in front of him.
“We must cook the barbecue first!”
“Just this once, okay?”
“Besides, I need to try a brand-new barbecue method this time.”
“This is key for adding value to customers and testing how I work with friends and spawn!”
“Coming right up!”
“Rescuing habitats under seawater and all that…”
“Just a moment… just a moment!”
As Trilobite justified his cravings, he also stayed busy.
He used his mouth to put the “bracken fern” roots on the ground of the “Cave.”
Poor bracken fern, having just regrown its roots under the Giant God’s help, was pulled away…
The meat chunks, sealed in mud and large leaves, were set on those “bracken fern” roots.
“Now, it’s the final step!”
“Light a fire!”
“Whoosh—!”
A white figure jumped from above Trilobite’s head and landed on the ground.
It was the second spawn, the “jumping spider young lady.”
“Snap—!”
She gently snapped her fingers!
