Chapter 476: The Joyful Demon
The next day, Jesse explored around his new rental house in the morning, had lunch at noon, and in the afternoon, went to Goldshire with two demons.
He used Detect Demon to scan the whole town, and saw faint traces on the top floor of a two-story building at a street corner.
Perhaps because it was a bit far, it was not very clear, but according to the address given by Erlan Drudgemoor, that was where he lived, and it seemed the faint trace was from his imp.
In late autumn, Goldshire was breezy, with a deep blue cloudless sky. The effects of the tearing power that surged through the Dark Portal had completely disappeared, and the forest had returned to its peaceful silence, with no more smell of fel magic and void fluctuations.
The streets were bustling with people, much livelier than when he had just returned from the Dark Portal.
Following the agreed address, Jesse ascended the small building, knocked on the door, and Drudgemoor opened it, glancing into the hallway and asking, "Where’s your demon?"
"Right here," Jesse replied as he walked into the house.
Drudgemoor closed the door and said, "There’s no need to hide yourself completely here…"
"Come out, Molofeel." Jesse sat on a nearby chair, catching his breath. It was quite a journey from Stormwind to here.
The succubus appeared behind Jesse, and the imp popped out of Jesse’s pocket. Erlan stood up and said to the succubus, "Every time I see Miss Molofeel, my motivation to learn the summoning spell of succubus increases… When I summon the succubus, Jesse, you must be there in person. Maybe with your magic, I can attract a succubus as powerful as Miss Molofeel."
Molofeel looked at him expressionlessly, Jesse chuckled and asked, "Are you using me as an engagement ring?"
"You’ve seen how Surena, the succubus, reacts when she sees you, Jesse." Erlan grabbed the arm of Jesse’s chair and said, "It’s like she’s enchanted by you."
"Gacresse?" Molofeel glanced at Erlan and asked, "What is that?"
Erlan cleared his throat and said, "Surena will be here soon, Miss Molofeel, then you’ll find out."
Jesse stood up to pour himself a cup of floral tea, and footsteps could be heard outside the door.
"I’m late, both of you." Surena entered through the door and asked, "Are you ready?"
Jesse took a sip of tea and said, "I can leave anytime."
"Wait for me a moment, let me count the packages I brought." Erlan said from the room at the end of the hallway, "You guys sit and wait for a while…"
At that moment, Gacresse appeared from behind Surena, staring at Molofeel without the fear or panic shown by other succubi before.
"She is Molofeel," Surena said. "We are all friends now, Gacresse."
"Ms. Molofeel," Gacresse said with a smile, "Both you and your master are very intriguing."
"Of course, I know," Molofeel smiled.
"Aren’t you going to compliment me, Molofeel?" Surena asked eagerly as she leaned closer.
Molofeel replied, "Ah, Surena Caledon, you must have something quite special to attract a Demon of Pleasure here."
Upon hearing her words, Jesse glanced at the incubus.
He was also a unique high-ranking Sayaad, it was quite obvious.
The Demon of Pleasure, Jesse wasn’t quite sure what kind of demon this was in the Twisting Nether, but if it was summoned by Surena… it wasn’t surprising.
Jesse recalled the incubus that Gakin summoned in Old Town back then, although that one was strong and muscular, while this one was leaner and taller, it didn’t lack in presence at all.
The twin horns on Gacresse’s head stood tall, and even though he tried to fold his wings tightly behind him, they still looked like a billowing cape, not to mention how majestic they looked when spread out.
Why would a high-ranking Sayaad like this be easily subdued by Surena without any difficulty?
Erlan and Ursula never mentioned any danger when Surena summoned this succubus, could it really be thanks to Felhound Basadre?
However, considering that Molofeel didn’t engage in any fierce battle when he first appeared in front of Jesse, perhaps only those lower-ranking succubus would instinctively resist their summoners.
That was the only conclusion he could come up with.
At that moment, Gacresse seemed to sense Jesse’s scrutiny, and he softly said, "Mr. Jesse Seso, have you changed your opinion of me today?"
"Stay away from my master," Molofeel said calmly.
"I think it’s up to your master to decide, not you," Gacresse said.
Jesse said impatiently, "I’ve made my decision already, Gacresse, stop pestering."
"You will change your mind, Mr. Seso," Gacresse said again with his captivating yet unsettling smile, then turned to Surena beside him and said, "Isn’t this also what the master hopes for?"
"My hope?" Surena furrowed her brow and asked, "What are you talking about, Gacresse?"
"Let Mr. Seso and Ms. Molofeel join our joyful gathering," Gacresse’s eyes, shimmering with Arcane magic, darted between Jesse and Molofeel.
Although Jesse didn’t feel him attempting to use Charm, the danger in his eyes was no less than magic of a mental disorder.
Not to mention that his lower body was constantly standing upright, as if in some deliberate challenge.
"He doesn’t seem to listen to you much, Surena," Jesse reminded, "Did he not tell you his true name?"
"Surena said, ‘Of course I know his real name. But have you ever forcibly ordered Ms. Molofeel with her real name? Zardeth mentioned that it’s best for masters and servants to have a harmonious relationship…’"
"Molofeel coldly interrupted Surena, saying, ‘Don’t cause trouble, Sayaad.’"
"Erlan entered the hall carrying a package, asking, ‘Miss Molofeel, what’s happening?’ He saw two succubus, a man and a woman, facing off. Molofeel looked indifferent while Gacresse still wore his misleading smile."
"Surena grabbed Gacresse’s arm and said, ‘Gacresse, I never said you had to do anything, dammit… Be obedient and stop doing whatever you want!’"
"Gacresse said, ‘Ms. Molofeel, can’t you feel the strong desire your master is suppressing? He constantly represses that powerful desire to break free from its constraints. As his servant, you not only fail to assist him but also seem unaware or deliberately ignore it. Now it’s just you and a Sayaad against me in this room, quite ironic. Were your wings broken because you defied your master’s wishes?’"
Jesse initially wanted Molofeel to avoid conflict here, but after Gacresse spoke, he became unhappy too.
Who is the true master, Jesse or Surena?
While Jesse was slightly upset, the Soul Link indicated that Molofeel beside him was nearly fuming.
