Chapter 474: Getting Ready for a Scavenging Mission
In the evening, Jesse arrived at The Slaughtered Lamb, just as Jarel had mentioned. Erlan and Surena were in the hall, laughing and chatting while enjoying the mysterious fragrance in the air, mixed with the scent of expensive wine.
Then he noticed that beside Surena sat a guy, that incubus.
Erlan glanced over and exclaimed, "Jesse? Is that really you? I can’t believe my eyes, it’s hard to trust those guys who kept telling me you were alive. Since I heard about what happened to you… darn, I really wished to see you again."
"Why did you go to Booty Bay? We were waiting for you to come back so we could set off again. It won’t be long before the demons’ bodies are being divided up among everyone, the Kirin Tor, mages from other kingdoms, Orcs, Gnolls… even the venture capital firms. Can you believe it? I think The Black Morass hasn’t been this lively in millennia…"
"Sorry for the delay," Jesse apologized.
Erlan seemed unaffected, but Surena was clearly a bit tipsy, holding onto that incubus and introducing him, "Jesse, you’re back! Come meet my new friend, Gacresse."

"Let’s talk about scavenging, Erlan," Jesse said. "Are you sure you’re not drunk?" Erlan tapped the table and said, "Of course not, we’ve been waiting for you to come back these days. We followed a scavenging team from Lakeshire into The Black Morass, Jesse. Don’t worry, the leader of those people is my friend, and after this trip, I and Surena have become familiar with them. They are all reliable people."
"Can they accept a demon companion?" Jesse asked.
"Of course," Erlan said. "There is also a Dwarf Warlock in there, who has an imp that can turn invisible. I heard from Zardeth, you will be called Jurke when the time comes, right?"
"Yes," Jesse said.
Erlan rubbed Surena’s ears and said, "Remember, Surena, don’t accidentally expose Jesse’s identity when the time comes."

The incubus Gacresse kept looking at Jesse with a cold expression as Erlan spoke, seeming to disagree with what was being said.

Erlan lay on Surena’s lap and said, "It’s a bit of a shame…"
"You guys enjoy yourselves, I’ll go ask Ursula about the potion," Jesse said.
Jesse walked into the adjacent corridor, not wanting to see that incubus again.
In the Alchemy Room, Ursula was busy brewing potions. Jesse could smell a bit of it, it was the scent of the Shadow Protection Potion.
"Ursula, are you preparing medicine for Erlan and his friends to go to The Black Morass?"

Jesse said, "A goblin in Booty Bay told me a way to find Essence of Undeath, using a device to extract the essence from ghosts. I plan to prepare something to deal with those ghosts when we come back from The Black Morass."
"You should get holy water from the church," Ursula said. "While it may not be as strong as Blessed Wizard Oil, it can handle regular ghosts…"
"Ah… right." Jesse tapped his forehead and said, "I’ll ask about that later. Ursula, you really reminded me."
