Chapter 429: Black Destruction!
Blasted Lands…
Endless darkness, coming from the void, coming from the Dark Portal, shadows seemed to be drawn and attracted here from everywhere.
Jesse reached out his hand, he noticed his skin was slowly becoming dimmer.
Suddenly, Jesse’s vision became clear. He felt like he had endless energy again. But then came the unbearable pain, as if his skin was being bitten by poisonous insects and his insides were in chaos.
But his mind told him that his power was still far from enough.
He needed to bring out more.
Jesse repeated the spell, "Lukheraventka, Luarakiputa…" until his hands were trembling, until he could almost hear every soldier’s cry, every demon’s screech, and every command on the battlefield.
"Come on, demon, show me how much strength you have left, you darned…"
"We are the last line of defense for Azeroth, soldiers! Stop that demon! Don’t let him bring down the Mage Tower!"
"Don’t let him destroy the Magic Crystal!"
"General Zekleni, we…"
"Lorima! Stop the demon! I’m going to kill that…"
"Kill the evil demon! Kill the evil demon!"
"You lost, losers, you lost, losers, you lost, lost, losers…"
Slowly, Jesse couldn’t hear anything anymore, these voices were all drowned out by the cries of darkness.
This world felt empty, as if only he was left.
Of course, there was still the evil demon in front of him.
Because he had to kill it.
It ends here.
"Sawyer…"
Jesse raised Azuresong Mageblade and Gorefiend’s magic wand high, the shimmering shadow gems intertwined with the blue dragon demon sword. He felt his actions seemed to trigger enough shadow power to easily destroy himself.
"Greedy…"
He shouted spells loudly, nearby soldiers, rangers, and priests all turned to look, watching as Shadowfiend snakes wriggled out of his body, merging with the purple shadows floating in the sky.
The sky was already covered by shimmering dark shadow stars, even the distant Eredar Wizard stared over.
"Antalya, Manuel Leroy…"
Jesse gritted his teeth, reciting desperately, with no energy left to care about his surroundings.
He couldn’t even worry about whether his spellcasting was successful, he could only focus, step by step, following his previous practices, not having time to look at whether those magic snakes were gathering, let alone Soul Shards…
In fact, he didn’t need any Soul Shards at all.
Too many reluctant souls lingered on the battlefield, elven souls, dwarf souls, human souls…
After performing several Life Taps, he could almost see countless souls sensing his spellcasting and rushing towards him, calling out.
"Kill him!"
"Kill… that monster…"
"With my soul… it is meaningless for me to leave here, I am a soldier, I cannot leave the battlefield!"
"My soul will help you kill him… can you understand me? Can you understand?"
"I shouldn’t die… it’s all that monster’s fault! Let me help you kill him!"
"Faster, you…"
"Are you still alive?! Do you want that monster to just march into Stormwind like this?"
"No problem." Jesse replied, staring at the swaying, huge, fat body of the monster, muttering under his breath.
"No problem… die, die, die, monster…"
Countless shooting stars swirling up high, gathering into a dark shadowy star, emitting eerie howls. Some demons that didn’t have time to escape were swept up by this dark shadowy star and fell silent. The soldiers on the ground, as well as the demons, all looked up to see this strange magic.
"Jesse…"
Vereesa turned around at this moment, stunned almost to stillness.
"Die…" Jesse gritted his teeth, still unable to hold back the black pus blood that spurted out, but his gaze remained fixed on the demon.
"Die, you son of a gun!"
He swung his magic wand with all his might, the bandages on the wand completely incinerated by the terrifying dark shadow power, giving off a shimmering purple light like an abyss.
Jesse exerted so much force that he almost stumbled over, causing that dark shadowy star to be propelled by his power… howling as it smashed towards the Pit Lord. At that moment, the demon that was entangled in combat with the soldiers noticed the strange object flying in from above.
Azgath’s eyes glanced sideways, then he couldn’t help but open his abyssal maw flowing with green lava.
The soldiers under his feet scattered in all directions upon seeing this, and the demon tried to pick up his magic blade to block, but it was already too late.
The Shadowfire star hit his arm directly, and purple magic flames instantly engulfed his whole body, causing a fierce explosion that shook the earth.
The spinning Arcane Crystals on the Mage Tower dimmed briefly during the sudden shadowy explosion, and only lit up again after a while.
Jesse’s legs gave way, and he sat on the ground, then burst into laughter, like a child watching a firework he set off joyfully.
But then, his smile vanished from his face.
As the black fire dissipated, the Pit Lord did not immediately die. He continued to smile, despite losing an arm and a piece of his chest, with terrifying tears in his body from the shadows, revealing his huge dark heart still beating vigorously.
Those thick veins kept spewing fel magic-like evil blood into the air, reaching heights of over ten meters and distances of tens of meters away.
Jesse suddenly remembered what would happen after the Pit Lord’s death.
"Jesse… you…"
"Vereesa, make them run… make everyone run! Quickly!"
On the hill, almost all the demons gave up fighting and ran away crazily. Vereesa understood what Jesse meant.
"Quick!" Jesse grabbed Vereesa’s collar and pushed her out forcefully, shouting with all his strength, "Everyone, run!"
Vereesa nodded and shouted loudly towards the distance, but Jesse couldn’t hear her anymore.
Countless soldiers ran with all their might away from the demons. Jesse felt like he was in trouble. The demon kept laughing at him, and when he tried to run away, he couldn’t move his feet.
A Stormwind knight ran over from afar, bent down and lifted the helpless Jesse onto his horse. Soon after, a white light suddenly burst out, engulfing everything. Jesse blinked his eyes and finally couldn’t hold on any longer.
