Chapter 320: The Beginning and End!
By the time Jesse arrived at the port, it was dusk. The sun still had a red head on the sea surface, with golden red light filling his sight.
Today was colder than before, even with so many layers of clothes wrapped around him, he still felt not warm enough. But he could soon board the ship to hide, and it should be warmer when he reached further south.
There was only one goblin ship at the port. As Jesse approached the pier to board the ship, there was a sudden sharp noise beside him.
"Hey! Trying to sneak on board? Am I invisible?!"
Jesse looked carefully to the side and discovered a goblin standing on the wooden box, but he didn’t see it clearly because the goblin was short, dark-skinned, and standing against the sunlight.
"I have a ticket," he said.
The goblin pointed at him and said, "Then tell me your name."
"Jack, Jack Slovakia."
"Hmph… Let me see… Here, Slovakia… Lift up your clothes to check."
Jesse lifted his cloak and revealed his clothes. The goblin glanced at them and asked, "So it’s you. Are you a Necromancer?"
"Huh?" Jesse glanced at him and said, "Why do you say that?"
"Something feels off," the goblin tilted his head, "Anyway, whether you are a mage or some other magician, I just want to remind you not to summon any elements, wooden fairies, demons or resurrect dead things into undead monsters on the ship. Otherwise, you’ll have to pay extra! If you harm any passengers, we will throw you and your messy companions off the ship immediately."
"Is that a full-fare ticket?" Jesse asked.
The goblin said, "Of course, if you can summon a rat, you can get a discount, but you’re not really a Necromancer, are you."
"No, but has a Necromancer ever been on a boat?" Jesse asked curiously.
"Let’s not talk about that, oh well, there are still passengers boarding, I won’t waste words," the goblin sitting on a box said. "Just remember that."
Jesse nodded and stepped onto the wooden plank. He felt that Molofeel, connected to him through a Soul Link, also boarded the ship, but the goblin didn’t notice anything unusual.
Perhaps it was because the goblin sensed a strange smell on himself, he should drink a Restorative Potion.
The fast goblin ship didn’t have any special cabins. Jesse’s resting place was just a corner under a staircase.
Besides eating, drinking, and sleeping in place, all he could do was stare at a blank piece of paper, thinking about how to start writing about his battle with Teron Gorefiend.
In reality, he didn’t know how to begin.
After all, he couldn’t write that he was targeted because his affinity with shadows was too strong and he was holding Teron Gorefiend’s magic wand, right?
Did Kel’Thuzad tell Gorefiend his name to make him come and kill him?
After thinking for a long time, let’s still start with the Death Knight at the beginning.
Fighting desperately to kill a Death Knight, only to be targeted by their master, it was a logical start.
Jesse spent a few days in a daze on the ship, almost losing track of time.
That night at sea, a storm seemed to be brewing, with discussions in a language he couldn’t understand coming from the cabin.
Leaning against the cabin wall, feeling the sway of the ship, he remembered the night he fought the "Dark Night Baron" on his way to Southshore.
Greed didn’t know when he would come back, it had been two months since he left, would he really have to wait for the promised maximum of three months?
The road from Menethil Harbor through the entire Wetlands to Ironforge is frequented by Dragonmaw clan Orcs. Although it is safer than crossing the Burning Steppes, going straight to Blackrock Spire, or crossing the entire Badlands, it is not completely safe.
Listening to the rumbling thunder and the sound of the sea waves hitting the ship’s hull, Jesse almost forgot he still had the Deathmantle on him.
Compared to the power of the ocean, the endless curse of death didn’t seem so scary anymore.
He took out a healing potion and gently took a sip, feeling a wave of purification flowing through his body. He then smelled the refreshing fragrance from the bottle, trying to forget the dark and salty sea.
After tightly closing the bottle, Jesse held the Azuresong Mageblade close, closed his eyes, and softly said, "Good night, Molofeel, Saenor. Whoever dares to touch my sword, I’ll stab them and throw them into the sea under cover of darkness."
"Don’t worry, master," Molofeel said beside him. "If anyone foolish enough dares to approach, I’ll take care of them without waking you."
Although the storm at night felt frightening, Jesse fell asleep, only waking twice from sudden jolts in the cabin, considering it a rather smooth sleep.
When he woke up again, it was already noon the next day. Jesse was planning to take out paper to continue writing when he heard commotion on the deck of the ship.
Curiously, he climbed to the deck and looked towards the bow, where endless green hills filled the distant horizon of the sea.
The cries of seagulls echoed, and the sea breeze became unruly. Holding onto his hat, he walked to a higher point and heard a goblin shout, "Look to your right, esteemed guests!"
Jesse glanced to the right and saw a giant goblin statue with arms wide open facing into the distance. The goblin’s expression appeared to be a smile, but it looked more like someone being choked, whether due to the sculptor’s lack of skill or to create a mysterious atmosphere.
"This is our great master, Revilgaz. Can you see him? Master Revilgaz is the fair, lawful, and respected protector and owner of the entire Blackwater Bay! If you don’t agree, it’s best to get off the ship now and avoid unnecessary trouble! After all, even sharks have times when they’re full!"
The goblin laughed as he walked to the bow of the ship, starting to talk about the "long" history of Booty Bay.
The bow of the ship continued on its chattering course, passing by Seahorn, covered in palm trees, and entering Blackwater Bay. The entire harbor suddenly unfolded before Jesse’s eyes.
The houses stacked on top of each other, crowding together, taller than me, wider than you, all along the curved shore, forming a large area of brown and red interlocking corners. Surprisingly, amidst the chaos, there was a hint of order.
Without a doubt, these buildings were all built by humans, similar in style to the houses at the Stormwind harbor.
If he hadn’t seen a troll and a dwarf standing on a nearby ship, chatting and laughing as they left, he might have thought this was a bustling human town.
Jesse examined every house, every street and staircase built with piled wooden planks of varying heights, until the ship docked.
Looking up at the giant swordfish hanging high, nearly as long as the black dragon of Thaurissan’s ruins, he was stunned for a moment, until a sudden explosive shout next to him startled him.
"We finally arrived! Damn it! Move out of the way!"
A Gnomish wearing a red coat slipped down from the ship and shouted, "Booty Bay! My dream, the start and end of my life, my beginning and end are all here! From now on, I am a different person! To hell with the Holy Light! To hell with the Alliance! To hell with the damn snow mountains, wild wolves, and trolls."
