Chapter 283: Gakin’s Wish
The incubus was indeed very handsome, so handsome that it made Jesse feel a bit unbalanced. What made it even more awkward was that his private part was exposed and swinging strangely, making it hard to ignore.
The demon spat out some purple blood and told Jesse, "Hunting the succubus without her loyalty to humans, she will betray you eventually. Let me go, I can be loyal to you, human. Together, we can eliminate her and prevent future trouble for you!"
"Loyal to me? I think you are overestimating the diversity of my sexual orientation," Jesse replied.
The smile on the incubus’s face suddenly disappeared as he asked, "How do you resist mental magic?"
"I’m not sure, maybe you’re just too weak," Jesse said.
Molofeel chuckled and whispered, "Master, just kill him. I can’t stand his nonsense any longer!"
"I have more questions," Jesse stated.
At this moment, the incubus looked up at Molofeel and whispered something in a demonic language with a smile.
After hearing Molofeel’s words, he swiftly shaved off that thing of his, and the incubus’s previously handsome face suddenly twisted, his eyes losing their color, as he coughed out a few curses.
"What now?" she coldly chuckled, asking in a common language. The incubus hoarsely growled, his claws digging into the ground, in pain he tightly shut his eyes, forgetting to even breathe.
It was undeniable that Molofeel’s strike hurt two people, Jesse witnessing it felt a chill down below.
"Why did you kill Gakin?" Jesse asked.
The incubus loosened his grip, breathing heavily for a while before raising his head to ask, "You mean, my previous master?"
"I don’t even know his name… Maybe I can’t even be considered a servant, just a guest who showed up midway through the party."
He took a deep breath and said, "Clearly, he mistook what he wanted."
"He wanted?" Jesse said, "Wasn’t it you all who charmed him into his demise?"
"Mortals always like to blame us for their ideas," the incubus chuckled and said, "Why should we interfere with his decisions? Was he planning to kill us, to send us away? No, so what benefit is there in killing him? Just for a Soul Shard easily found anywhere in the Twisting Nether?"
"Both me and Sayeda wanted to make him happy as much as possible because who would want to leave Azeroth? I still had some calmness, but Sayeda, who was losing her mind, thought she could help him regain consciousness, so she refused to go with me. But I already knew that from the start, so I wasn’t surprised. Maybe you guys have already killed her, right? She deserved it…"
Was Gakin really willing?
Jesse felt that he didn’t know enough about this colleague.
He just couldn’t understand why he didn’t order the succubus to stop, even knowing that he would die if his stomach was cut open.
However, he also remembered that day when his skin was cut and burned, he didn’t feel any pain.
But as the night went on, more ignored pains and more doubts about his own strangeness gradually made him feel a growing panic of losing control.
This panic extinguished his shadow frenzy like ice water, leading him to gradually return to normal.
What about Gakin?
Perhaps this frenzy is what he seeks, the feeling of being completely embraced by the shadows.
Of course, Jesse couldn’t know the truth now.
The incubus looked at the magic wand in Jesse’s hand and said, "I sensed your power just now, warlock. You stole this black wand from an Eredar, didn’t you?"
He weakly raised his eyes and looked at the succubus tightly holding his horns, saying, "Is this why you are willing to be loyal to him? But to a shadow manipulator like him, you are just a pawn that can be discarded at any time. Do you really think you will get anything in return?"
"Oh my, oh my," Molofeel pretended to be surprised and asked, "Are you trying to play tricks on me with this pitiful magic? Or do you really mean what you say? The weakness of your magic power confuses me!"
"No, it is the fluctuation of Shadowfiend’s power, truly impressively foolish."
She yanked the incubus’s horn and the latter angrily growled, uttering some insults in Demonic.
"Send him back to the Twisting Nether," Jesse said.
Molofeel thrust a sword into the succubus’s chest, then forcefully split the succubus’s well-built chest in half.
The demon twitched and fell to the ground, its exposed heart beating as it emerged from its body. The body muttered a few words and curled up, like a worm suddenly flattened on one side.
"We need to get rid of this demon’s body," said Jesse. "Although this place in Old Town is quite remote, leaving it here will definitely attract attention in a few days."
"I can help you move this demon back to the young mage’s apartment we just left," suggested Molofeel. "That way, when he wakes up tomorrow morning, he can have a reasonable explanation for his mysteriously naked body in the middle of the night and those stains."
"Now he also has a reasonable explanation," said Jesse. "That is, he suddenly had a terribly scary dream in the middle of the night. Alright, don’t make trouble for me." Molofeel chuckled.
Jesse looked at the demon’s body and asked, "What will be left if I burn him with Shadowflame?"
"Nothing will be left!" Molofeel said. "He is not a living creature of Azeroth, master. He is just a lump of flesh condensed from Dark Energy."
Jesse nodded, chanted a spell, and ignited the demon’s body.
Purple flames danced in the night. Jesse watched as the once artful demon body shriveled, turned black, curled up, gradually transforming into an unidentifiable black stain, and ultimately disappeared completely in a cloud of black smoke.
Jesse gazed at the charred remains and blood on the ground in silence for a moment, then said, "I remember, he asked you a question in Demonic just now."
Molofeel glanced over and said, "You’re still thinking about that?"
"Just curious."
"He thinks he’s better than you!"
"Better than me?" Jesse said, "Then why did you cut off his…"
Molofeel said, "I need to give him a clear answer, right?"
"Ah, so that’s what ‘better’ means." Jesse nodded, and asked, "So if you don’t cut him, the answer won’t be clear enough?"
"Are you really going to compete with a male Sayaad?"
"Forget it." Jesse waved his hand and said, "Forget I asked."
