Chapter 92: You Lick Me!

Lin Lin never knew how strong the Demon King’s drive was.

When Lin Lin arrived at the Demon King’s office, he was admiring the finished statue.

Lin Lin raised her magic wand, getting into a golf swing stance, but the Demon King interrupted her action.

"What are you doing?" His Majesty the Demon King asked nervously.

Lin Lin looked at him without expression and said, "Why don’t you explain what you are doing?"

Unlike Lin Lin’s calmness, His Majesty the Demon King looked very happy, "Isn’t there a statue that has disappeared? Perfect! Let’s make a big one and put it in the center of the second floor!"

Lin Lin, "…Thank you! You’re quite thoughtful!"

As Lin Lin walked closer to the statue, the accountant statue holding a ledger was clearly much taller than her; she had hardly ever seen a two-meter-tall version of herself.

Just as Lin Lin approached the statue, His Majesty the Demon King held up a Polaroid camera to take her photo, telling her how great it looked and how her angry expression was the same.

"Because I am angry right now," Lin Lin replied.

The Demon King paused for a few seconds while holding the instant camera, then firmly pressed the button, "You often get angry anyway, so let’s take a memory!"

He spoke truly remarkable words.

Your Majesty the Demon King pressed the photo button, and Lin Lin and the statue behind her appeared together in the picture.

"Compared to the newly erected statues, the Fallen Angel statue at Demon King Castle is even more frightening," Lin Lin approached the Demon King and saw him carefully laying the gradually appearing photo on the table.

Lin Lin always felt that the instant camera had a beautification feature, and in the warm-toned photo, she seemed to look a little better.

The magical instant camera photo was not still; it captured a few seconds of moving images, with clouds floating and her eyes dancing, giving it a special liveliness.

"There’s nothing we can do about it," the Demon King sat back down, resting his chin on his hand as he looked at Lin Lin, "Not discovering him all these years means he has not used the power of light at all. That angel has minimized his energy use so much that, in essence, he is no different from the other statues."

Unlike Lin Lin, for the Demon King, an angel is still an angel. Even though that angel’s wings have turned gray, he still uses the power of light, not the power of darkness.

Lin Lin remembered that even when fighting the vampire Damonis, that Fallen Angel did not use his own power but instead took Lin Lin’s hand and helped her lift the magic wand.

This behavior indeed does not seem like a spy lurking in the enemy camp, but rather like someone being practical and saving the use of light-type power.

"He can’t really want to become a statue in the Demon King Castle," Lin Lin said doubtfully, "He could even go to the God of Light’s wishing pool and be a turtle; he could stay still and still make some money."

Your Majesty the Demon King thought carefully for a few seconds.

"Maybe there’s another reason; the God of Light cannot sense what is happening inside the demon realm." Your Majesty the Demon King considered the situation, "If that angel wants to take it easy, they can come to the demon realm, where the God of Light cannot see, and the will of the gods won’t reach here."

Then, staying still as a statue in the Demon King Castle.

Lin Lin was silent for a few seconds.

"Ah, he’s slacking off."

No matter which world or which camp, there are always lazy people like this.

For some reason, the gratitude she felt for being saved by the Fallen Angel suddenly dropped significantly.

How hopeless! I am desperate in this world without a single reliable employee!

–

Lin Lin began to seriously think about whether the old men who recited scriptures by her ear at night were hired by the Fallen Angel.

After the Fallen Angel left, the old man’s voice also disappeared.

Lin Lin’s sleep improved, but her feelings became more complicated. What kind of person is that Fallen Angel?

These complex emotions lingered in Lin Lin, so much so that when she carried the stainless steel basin down the stairs to the dungeon, the vampire Damonis noticed her distraction.

It seemed to be a talent of the Blood Clan; even though Damonis had not been specifically taught about human knowledge, he could still sense a little of Lin Lin’s state instinctively.

"Are you feeling down?" The food was placed in the special opening for the cell, and Damonis did not look at the basin of blood even once; his attention was entirely focused on Lin Lin after she appeared.

The vampire’s mind was quite smooth; shallow grooves could not hold much. He still remembered that Lin Lin and the Fallen Angel had attacked him together, and Damonis thought Lin Lin was disappointed that the Fallen Angel had abandoned her.

"Are you sad about that angel? After all, he abandoned you." Like the Demon King, Damonis also called him an angel.

Lin Lin was a bit surprised. She glanced at Damonis, thinking this guy only felt anger and disgust towards her, but this vampire surprisingly had a "Do you need to talk?" attitude.

"Oh, we are quite unfamiliar, so I can’t really say ‘abandoned’," Lin Lin explained. "I’m just a little curious about what kind of person he is."

As Lin Lin said this, Damonis believed her.

"What else could an angel be like?" Damonis shrugged. From his tone, it was clear he had seen more than one angel. "They are just brainless beings who don’t understand human words and start fighting over the slightest disagreement!"

When Damonis commented that others lacked brains, Lin Lin subtly stayed silent for two seconds.

"Have you seen other angels?" Lin Lin asked him.

The young man glanced down at Lin Lin, his dark red eyes darting across her chin and neck, also noticing the Demon King’s contract mark.

Unlike the orderly Sapphire Dragon Safir, Blood Clan Damonis was a completely free spirit, his actions driven by his true feelings.

The mark of the Demon King made him want even more to leave a trace on her beautiful neck.

"I will tell you my story," Damonis bargained, "if you give me a drop of blood."

Lin Lin showed an expression of "I knew it would be like this," but she was indeed very curious about the angel and reluctantly accepted the price.

There was nothing sharp nearby, so Lin Lin put her index finger in her mouth and tried to bite it with her sharp teeth.

Lin Lin didn’t dare to bite hard; she couldn’t even leave a mark, let alone break the skin.

Lin Lin was a person who valued life greatly, and her instincts kept her from biting herself hard.

Damonis laughed mockingly, thinking Lin Lin was too weak to even pierce her own skin.

Lin Lin glared at him and said, "You tell me your story first; you’re not trying to trick me into giving my blood, are you?"

In the Blood Clan, there is a tradition of playing with people’s hearts, and many members of the Blood Clan consider it elegant to deceive their targets and leave calmly.

Damonis was not good at those things, and even Lin Lin doubted if he was lying, making his face turn red, looking very angry.

"Of course I have seen angels," Damonis said, "I saw an angel when I was a child!"

Damonis was a child a long time ago… Lin Lin calculated the vampire’s age and thought it must have been a very long time ago.

"We just looked at each other, and he almost killed me." Clearly, this memory was not pleasant; he reached up to touch his neck.

Lin Lin guessed that the angel must have attacked his neck, but the real place to kill a vampire is the heart.

"Angels do not think about anything; they are just messengers of the God of Light, following the commands of the God of Light," Damonis said, "They see a dark creature and kill it; they remove anyone who threatens the God of Light. They are completely foolish tools."

The vampire was doing everything he could to make angels look bad in front of Lin Lin.

"But that Fallen Angel did not kill you," Lin Lin said, puzzled. "When you turned into a bat out of embarrassment, that Fallen Angel did not attack you again."

Lin Lin’s words reminded Damonis of that unpleasant day, and he started to feel annoyed. "How should I know what he was thinking! I’m done talking, just give me your blood!"

The patience of the Blood Clan was all fake; their only goal was to take a sip of blood from Lin Lin, as if the end of the story was finally revealed.

Lin Lin did not listen to him and immediately reached out her finger, causing Damonis to become alert, "You don’t plan to break the agreement, do you?"

Those dark red eyes stared at Lin Lin, afraid that she would turn and leave.

Lin Lin sighed, "You said it, just one sip of blood."

As soon as Lin Lin’s hand got close to the railing, someone eagerly grabbed her palm.

Damonis looked down, his slightly longer bangs covering part of his eyes, making it hard for Lin Lin to see his expression.

His index finger pressed against the young man’s soft lips as Damonis slid the tip of his finger inside.

The cool and slick feeling made Lin Lin feel as if she had been plunged into icy water.

She became nervous.

Lin Lin finally understood why the Blood Clan wanted the power to confuse people, because a clear-minded human would never agree to be bitten by such a cold creature!

Lin Lin began to regret her decision to give Damonis a sip of blood.

This feeling was a bit like the nervousness before a blood test.

Damn, Damonis seemed to have been in a deep sleep, so he probably rarely bit anyone! What if his biting skills were poor and it hurt?

Lin Lin held her breath, feeling even more nervous, and her eyes darted to Damonis’s face once again.

The young man lowered his gaze, and his deep features looked exquisitely beautiful in the light; he truly fit the image of a noble young master of the Blood Clan.

If he didn’t speak.

Great, at least if you ignore those red eyes, Damonis looked very much like a handsome human, Lin Lin tried to comfort herself with his beauty.

She was already tense, and suddenly, a cool, soft thing gently brushed against her fingertips. It was as agile as some kind of living creature.

Lin Lin screamed as she pulled her finger out of Damonis’s mouth and punched the vampire hard in the face.

Now, she could skillfully use her strength to cause the most damage with her small size, and there were clear red marks on Damonis’s jaw.

This made the vampire look a bit pathetic.

"What are you doing?!" Damonis looked up, his brows furrowed, scolding her angrily.

The young man raised his head, and Lin Lin then noticed that his eyes were glowing red, not just moist but with a strange rosy hue at the corners.

"You licked me!" Lin Lin made a face of disbelief and disgust, saying, "That’s so gross!"

Even Damonis had his dignity; being told he was disgusting to his face was truly hurtful.

"That was… a kind of comfort," Damonis’s originally angry voice suddenly softened. He seemed reluctant to let any other potential listeners hear his explanation, gritting his teeth, "It’s just a normal step!"

"What? Do you have a whole process for this?" Lin Lin said in disbelief, noticing the young man’s flushed face in embarrassment, then she changed her tone, "Okay, but I think you could skip those unnecessary steps and just take a bite."

"I know!" This time, Damonis’s expression looked like he would bite Lin Lin’s finger off.

Lin Lin hesitated and put her fingertip on the railing again, and Damonis lowered his head and took her finger back into his mouth.

Lin Lin noticed the vampire’s sharp teeth rubbing over the tip of her finger, but he still did not bite her.

Saliva was building up in Damonis’s mouth; even Lin Lin could feel it becoming wetter and stickier.

It felt strange, as if she knew she was a piece of bone, and the hungry gray wolf in front of her also knew she was a piece of bone, drooling but still unable to bite.

Lin Lin realized she was licked by his soft tongue again, though Damonis pretended it had not happened, saying nothing.

Lin Lin stared at the Blood Clan’s bright red lips; his mouth was very beautiful, with standard M-shaped lips that looked soft and full, making him seem less distant.

When Damonis noticed Lin Lin looking at him, he clearly turned his face to avoid her gaze.

Lin Lin suddenly had a thought, "You can’t have never drunk blood before, right?"

Damonis did not answer.

Lin Lin’s fingertips suddenly felt a sharp pain, and blood oozed from the tip of his finger, making the young man take a big breath.

How frustrating! The feeling of having a companion take a bite of ice cream, and they opened their mouth wide and bit off two-thirds of it!

"Do you even know what it means to take a sip?!"

Lin Lin quickly pulled back his hand, and a faint trace of blood brushed against Blood Clan’s bright red lips. He stuck out his tongue and licked it.

Damonis made a swallowing motion, and a clear gulp escaped his lips.

Then the young man arrogantly opened his mouth wide, letting Lin Lin see that he swallowed all the blood without leaving a single drop.
