Chapter 63: I Want to Taste Your Flavor
"Brother, can I go with you?"
The moment those words slipped out, Allen knew that Sharon’s Intellectual Disability Spell had not failed.
At least in the past, even if Allen disagreed with Arthur’s judgment, he would still show his support.
At this moment, both Arthur, who was secretly planning to take Lin Lin away, and Allen, who stepped forward, quietly broke a balance that had been maintained for a long time.
The killer whales have their own way of communicating, but luckily, the twin brothers did not attract much attention.
Outside the window, the sky had turned completely dark. Sandy was still complaining to Sharon about learning too many useless spells, while the dwarf focused on the new seed he had received. Among them, only the lazy, silver-haired drunk elf leaning back in his chair showed them a smile that seemed to be a mix of amusement and indifference.
The elf took a sip from his cup and then raised it to them, appearing to say, "You all carry on, I don’t mind."
Unlike Lin Lin, the twin brothers had a bit more understanding of the Moon Elf.
This group of High Elves, who are popular everywhere, loves to observe. They observe trees, observe different races, and even observe history.
They have a curious nature that allows things to develop freely, able to focus on one thing for many years.
Many times, the judgments made by the Moon Elf stem from this mindless curiosity. If someone falls into the water, he might eagerly save them or pretend not to care, only to later mourn for the unfortunate soul and play a lament on his lute for them.
In short, if one does not have a liking for elves as a race and is not swayed by their stunning appearances, it is very easy to dislike those who view others’ lives as mere entertainment.
Allen and Arthur silently ignored the presence of Moon Elf Royvald and instead helped the headachy Lin Lin upstairs.
Once they reached the second floor, the two orcas became even quieter.
This situation was unusual; even if others could not hear, the communication between the twins was actually quite frequent.
Useful or useless information was instinctively shared between them, as if they were one person sharing many thoughts.
Allen leaned against the wall, fiddling with the key to his room, coldly watching Arthur hold Lin Lin with one hand while using the other to unlock the door.
Lin Lin held tightly onto Arthur’s arm, as if she was afraid he might let go.
She was clearly more dependent on Arthur.
In fact, back at Demon King Castle, Lin Lin had tried this approach because she found Allen troublesome and wanted to balance him with the more composed and authoritative Arthur.
In a way, she was trying to push them apart.
At that time, Allen even felt like praising Lin Lin for her interesting ideas. Arthur and Allen grew up like twins, and no one had dared to try something like that yet.
But now, as Allen watched Lin Lin resting her head on Arthur’s shoulder, they looked too close.
Allen not only did not find it interesting, but he also felt quite bad.
With a "click," the door opened.
Arthur turned around and saw Allen standing next to Lin Lin, who he didn’t know had come there. Allen had already reached out to support Lin Lin’s shoulder, so she no longer had to lean on Arthur.
Arthur stared silently at his brother, then his gaze fell on where Allen was supporting Lin Lin’s shoulder.
Allen was also looking at Arthur.
The two people with exactly the same face displayed a calm demeanor; at this moment, they did not use the communication style of orcas, but instead shared a more primal, quiet gaze.
This was the first time Allen showed a strong desire in front of his brother; before this, he had a vague attitude toward most things.
It can be this way or that way, because Allen is someone who is easily distracted by new things. For the benefit of the twins, he willingly bowed his head and gave the leadership to the more sensible Arthur.
Arthur always knows how to make the "right" judgment.
Arthur slowly stepped aside, handing Lin Lin to Allen, while Arthur went to open the door.
Arthur chose to step back willingly; his privilege faded away, which made Allen feel a little better. They seemed to return to the state where the orcas shared their food.
Unlike the orcas’ room, Lin Lin’s room only had a big bed.
Allen placed Lin Lin on the bed, resting against the headboard in a sitting position.
Lin Lin seemed a bit dazed, so Allen took the chance to gently rub her fluffy hair since Lin Lin had become quite experienced and he had very few successful sneak attacks lately.
"Allen…?" Lin Lin softly spoke, blinking her eyes at him.
Lin Lin felt a bit better; it seemed the effects of the Intellectual Disability Spell had lessened. At first, she was unsure seeing this serious face in front of her, but when she felt the familiar touch on her head, she immediately knew it was Allen.
"How annoying," Lin Lin thought with some sadness and anger. She could now tell who was coming by the way others touched her hair.
After Lin Lin said Allen’s name, she clearly saw the young man’s eyes light up little by little. "It’s me! Are you still feeling unwell?"
Allen seemed determined to be caring, and he leaned closer to Lin Lin, "Do you need some water? Does your head hurt? I can give you a gentle massage."
A series of questions came at her, but it was clear that Allen was not good at taking care of others, which made Lin Lin find it a little funny.
She let out a soft laugh and shook her head, "Thank you, but I’m feeling much better now."
Since Allen always looked annoying, Lin Lin rarely smiled at him, making Allen feel surprised and special.
And now, because Lin Lin was feeling unwell, she was sweating a little, and the light scent from her skin spread. The orca’s keen sense of smell could easily notice the fresh, moist fragrance coming from her.
Allen rested both arms on the bed and leaned closer to Lin Lin, staring at her. Not only was she allowing him to touch her head, but the scent from her was also stronger than usual.
She smiled at him helplessly.
Allen leaned closer to Lin Lin, smelling the light mist on her, unsure of what he wanted to do but instinctively tilting his head to gaze at her face.
Lin Lin looked at Allen, puzzled by his closeness.
"I want…" Allen began, licking his light-colored lips, "I want to taste you."
Allen lowered his gaze, his eyes skimming over her eyelids, nose, cheeks, and the corners of her lips, his voice intentionally soft with a teasing tone.
"Are you going to bite me?" Lin Lin asked in surprise, pushing Allen away with her hand. "Aren’t you supposed to eat fish?"
"Actually, I eat other things too," Allen explained. He couldn’t even fully understand why he wanted to taste Lin Lin, but he still acted on instinct. "I won’t bite you; I will just lick you."
"No," Lin Lin refused. "If you lick me this time, you will bite me next time."
This reckless whale named Allen certainly would not listen.
As Allen leaned down closer to Lin Lin’s face, she shouted loudly, "Arthur!"
"You can shout, you might as well shout loudly, anyway big brother can’t hear," Allen mumbled.
Arthur wet Lin Lin’s towel in the bathroom to wipe her face, and walked out just in time to see this scene.
Arthur threw the wet towel in his hand onto Allen’s face.
Allen rolled to the other side of the big bed, holding his head from the hard hit.
Arthur quickly came to Lin Lin and carefully observed how she was doing.
Lin Lin pointed at Allen without hesitation and told Arthur, "Your brother said he would bite me!"
Arthur looked at Allen.
Allen explained, "I meant lick!"
Arthur’s expression became even more unpleasant.
–
The Autumn Harvest Festival is a very important holiday for the port residents, celebrating a year of rich harvest.
Since Padre Port is already a tourist city, many young people come for this festival, making it a great time for young men and women to meet and build friendships.
When Lin Lin came downstairs, the hotel lobby was full of people. She did not expect the hotel to be so lively.
In the center, the Moon Elf Royvald was playing the lute and softly singing a song about love.
Royvald must have removed a confusion spell, as the young girls sitting around him showed clear signs of affection in their eyes.
Lin Lin listened carefully to the lyrics and discovered he was singing about a dwarf who fell in love with a jellyfish living in the deep sea. When she looked at the dwarf owner at the front desk, she could see a look of suppressed anger on his face.
It was clear that the owner felt quite frustrated about earning this little money from beer.
"Hey!" the dwarf greeted Lin Lin when he saw her come downstairs. "Could you help me smash Royvald’s lute? Your stay can be completely free."
"There is desire in my heart, but not enough strength," Lin Lin sincerely suggested, "Why don’t you ask Arthur and Allen?"
As soon as she mentioned the names of the brothers, two people slowly walked down.
When the girls saw the faces of the orca brothers, their eyes brightened again; they clearly did not expect such a remote hotel to have so many handsome guys.
"There must be a trick!" one of the girls said, "Could it be some kind of scam group?"
She may be a beauty lover, but she loves money and stays clear-headed. Lin Lin silently gave her a thumbs up.
"Huh?" Allen frowned, taking off his sunglasses halfway down his nose. His deep blue eyes looked very threatening, showing a rather displeased expression, "Do you want to get punched?"
In one sentence, he successfully shattered the handsome aura he had, making Arthur, who was standing next to him, look less handsome too.
Lin Lin suddenly understood why she felt so calm in the Demon King Castle.
He is handsome, but he can’t help being so troubled.
