Chapter 27: Are You Okay?
It’s so noisy, really noisy; why are these men so loud?
Lin Lin had to admit that she was quite happy when she first saw the Paladin group because they were the first guests and there were a lot of them, surely they would bring in a big profit.
But soon, that happiness faded. Lin Lin realized she didn’t actually love money that much.
Lin Lin regretted forgetting that these huskies were really noisy when they stayed here; back then, the young Paladins were already quite talkative, and now they were ten times louder!
Lin Lin felt as if her heart was dead. Soon, she realized that in the Paladin group, besides the Holy Knight Commander Norman, who seemed like he was deaf yet could still smile naturally, there was another person who, like her, felt as if their heart was dead—Mage Daniel.
The pure white Mage Daniel still wore a blindfold. He stood at the back of the line, trying to stay away from the crowd in front of him, but since he couldn’t see, he could only awkwardly follow along.
Lin Lin thought that Daniel being here meant Norman must have done a lot to convince him; he might even be cursing Norman in his heart right now.
The Mage at the back of the line gently pinched the edge of his pure white robe, showing a calm and graceful demeanor.
Lin Lin guessed correctly; Daniel was indeed persuaded by Norman.
The Holy Knight Commander, favored by the gods and blessed by the God of Light, spoke to Daniel about the importance of rest.
"The moment of enlightenment gained from purifying the mind and body is the true elevation, compared to the continuous practice," Norman told Daniel.
Liar!
In such a noisy environment, it was impossible to achieve a "purification of the mind and body," and it even made one feel more restless and polluted! The angry Mage felt extremely upset.
Daniel’s steps slowed down, and at that moment, he desperately wished he were deaf instead of blind.
Because of his lost eyesight, Daniel’s hearing was very sharp, and he heard Norman call out a name, "Lin Lin."
Oh, countless memories rushed through his mind, easily capturing information connected to that name.
Daniel couldn’t picture Lin Lin’s exact image in his mind, but he remembered her presence. She was the woman embraced by the Fallen Angel, who herself carried a dark aura.
The wizard’s uncontrollable curiosity was once again stirred.
He had never seen a Fallen Angel. Angels were already rare, and Fallen Angels were even mentioned only in legends.
The believers instinctively felt that no one would willingly betray their god, and angels created by the god were even more so.
Did the Fallen Angel truly betray her faith? How could she survive after losing the power of the god?
Daniel raised his face, adorned with white satin, slightly upward toward the leader of the group.
There was a woman who had met the Fallen Angel.

"This is the place for hot spring bathing," Lin Lin felt like she was really the teacher taking elementary school kids on a field trip.
She didn’t expect that last night she couldn’t sleep because of the anxiety of the elementary school field trip syndrome, but it turned out the Paladin group was the real children.
But she had to admit, when that group of young and handsome Paladins showed their excited and shocked expressions, Lin Lin felt a sense of satisfaction driven by vanity.
Look, my suggestions, take a good look at them.
Leading the Paladins to tour the hot spring area, the sweat room, the bath area, and the shower, when they reached the Silent Zone for social anxiety, Lin Lin saw Daniel sit down very smoothly and naturally, as if to say, "I’m home."
It seems this mage really dislikes noise.
The atmosphere reached its peak when the knights arrived at the meal area, the cheers were deafening.
Lin Lin stared blankly at the young children eagerly rushing towards the food, feeling a bit anxious about whether they would eat enough to cover the ticket cost.
Knight Commander Norman came to Lin Lin’s side and gave sincere praise to the hot spring facilities, "Your hotel is quite nice; San Marco City doesn’t have such facilities."
Unlike Norman’s focus, Lin Lin cared about the city.
This was the second time Norman mentioned San Marco City in front of Lin Lin.
Last time, Lin Lin did not pay attention, but this time she curiously asked him, "Why compare with San Marco City? Is the hot spring there very famous?"
Norman was momentarily taken aback.
At first, he thought Lin Lin was joking, but in her eyes, there was no hint of teasing; she was seriously looking forward to his answer.
For reasons unknown, Norman still answered her, responding to a question that only a child in this world would ask.
The young man looked quietly at Lin Lin with his blue eyes, "It’s a city mostly filled with humans."
This doesn’t sound very appealing. Lin Lin was already very used to having demon races or Dark Elves around her, but to not dampen Norman’s excitement, she replied dryly, "That should be nice because human technology is more advanced."
Indeed, human technology is more advanced, and people often like to put some thought into their enjoyment. So, Norman’s earlier words were a fairly common compliment.
She had no idea about San Marco City, Norman thought.
It is not blind confidence in one’s faith; the followers of the God of Light can be found in every corner of the world, and San Marco City has always been linked with the God of Light.
Perhaps simpler books may not specifically mention this place, but anyone who studies more detailed books or who has had frequent contact with races that regularly worship the God of Light would not be so unfamiliar with this city.
Moreover, Lin Lin seemed to have no issues with social skills and was quite calm and open towards all races, unlike someone who grew up in a secluded and closed environment.
It is indeed astonishing that Lin Lin does not know about San Marco City.
It’s as if…
Norman frowned slightly. He felt this guess was too strange.
It was as if she had grown up in a place completely away from the God of Light.
That seemed a bit exaggerated, and Holy Knight Commander couldn’t help but smile and shake his head at his own guess.
The presence of the divine in this world is like air, like rain; even if you do not actively seek it, you may touch it unknowingly.
Perhaps Lin Lin didn’t realize that San Marco City was simply because she was a witch who did not interact with the Light Race.
"You should go to the kitchen," Felix said unhappily beside her, "the Lizardfolk don’t listen to my advice at all."
Lin Lin turned her head and saw Felix still wearing a stern face beside her; she thought he might have had this expression all day.
Ever since the Paladins appeared, Felix had acted like a cat whose territory was invaded, watchful and hostile while keeping a safe distance from them.
While Lin Lin was showing the Paladins around, he had been hiding in the shadows.
Following Felix’s finger, Lin Lin saw the piles of empty plates and the young Paladins eating as if they had black holes in their stomachs.
Are they really the amount of food humans eat? There can’t be a few bears mixed in there, right?
"Hmm," Norman spoke up, "I will pay double the amount."
The Dark Elf scoffed.
"I am more concerned about something else," Felix deliberately did not avoid Lin Lin and looked at Norman with a slight challenge, "Why is the Paladin our only guest? Can’t other people see the poster posted in the Tocopia bulletin board?"
Good question! Lin Lin turned to look at Norman.
The Holy Knight Commander replied with a gentle smile, "We just wanted to see who tore down the other information on the bulletin board and left only this poster. After all, it looks a little dangerous."
Ah… Lin Lin’s shocked gaze shifted to Felix.
Did you really do such a shameless thing? Although it was intended to protect your own interests, it is quite embarrassing!
"That isn’t important," Felix admitted a bit unhappily, "You explain why only you came."
Lin Lin’s spotlight turned back to Norman.
Norman, "Because we thought the hot springs might be dangerous, we tore down the hot springs poster."
Oh, you tore down the poster.
We waited all day without any guests because of this.
Lin Lin’s mind suddenly became very clear, "Felix, kill him!"
The Dark Elf quickly pulled out a dagger and rushed towards Norman.
"I’m sorry," the Knight Commander quickly blocked the Dark Elf’s attack with a clean knife from the edge of the dining table, "because those posters really did look suspicious, not to mention that the location was right on the edge of Dragon race territory."
Lin Lin, in anger, said, "You have no idea how hard we’ve worked!"
While defending against Felix’s attack, Norman looked at Lin Lin, "We’ll put the posters back up when we get back, and we’ll help you promote it."
The praise for the Paladin is much better than the bulletin board.
The situation changed completely, and Norman suddenly became the person Lin Lin needed to protect.
Lin Lin, who only cared about profit, quickly grabbed the Dark Elf’s cloak to stop him from attacking, "Just let Norman go! Spare his life!"
The young knights, completely unaware of anything wrong, clapped and cheered for the exciting duel.
Felix was pulled by Lin Lin by the collar of his cloak to help in the kitchen.
Felix thought he should have delivered a fatal blow from the start.
Sure enough, opportunities do not wait for anyone.
–
Lin Lin thought, this world does not truly have a real "Silent Zone" for social anxiety.
Originally, I wanted to give Daniel, the wizard who had trouble moving and needed help, some easy assistance. As soon as Lin Lin brought the tea to the Silent Zone, she heard bursts of laughter coming from it.
Lin Lin looked up again to confirm that this was the Silent Zone.
To take care of people with social anxiety, each small table in the Silent Zone only had one chair, to make sure people sat apart.
Now, several chairs from different small tables were pushed together, and four young Paladins were gathered around the small table in front of Daniel, happily playing cards, while Daniel, sitting next to them, looked as if his spirit had already left him for a long time.
Ah, he looked almost dead.
Daniel was so anxious that he couldn’t handle the situation at all, his body seemed to be pretending to be dead.
And that group of huskies had no idea; they could even cheerfully ask Daniel who was lucky with the cards, and even without an answer, they remained incredibly cheerful.
It’s over! I feel like I’m about to see Daniel’s ghost!
Throwing the tea aside, Lin Lin quickly grabbed a mop, "You little rascals! Can’t you see this is the Silent Zone! This is a place where everyone must sit apart!"
"Can you even measure how noisy it is?"
Lin Lin held the mop like a brave warrior holding a sword, pointing it at the little knights.
The knights in shorts ran away, saying, "Wow! This is so dirty, I just cleaned it!"
"Lord Daniel looks so lonely! Let’s keep him company!"
"I’m so sorry! I really think he’s too pitiful!"
"I’m just here to make up the numbers!"
Playing cards next to a blind person is even scarier! Even people from hell would think that’s a crime!
Finally driving the little troublemakers away, Lin Lin tossed aside the mop and went to support Daniel, whose face had turned even paler. "Are you okay? Are you still alive?"
The wizard Daniel finally woke up from his pretend death.
From Daniel’s view, he could see a soft white light bursting from Lin Lin’s body.
It is the light of humanity.
"I understand now," Daniel said, trembling as he held Lin Lin’s hand that helped him up, "You are the Fallen Angel herself."
Lin Lin decisively let go and looked at the weak mage who fell to the ground, "Don’t spread rumors!"
I am wholeheartedly devoted to Demon King Castle.
