Chapter 60: One! Dance!
After getting her new weapon, Naya was in a playful mood.
She lengthened the spear’s handle again and made the spearhead smaller, making it easier to wield.
“Iris, do you want to watch me perform a spear dance?”
“I want to see it.”
Naya smirked, confident in her skills. It wasn’t that she had trained in spear fighting in her past life, but after becoming a spearman, the system had installed various spear techniques into her mind, enhancing her strength and physique.
Otherwise, how could someone who had lived in a peaceful country on Earth possibly stand a chance against the primitive inhabitants of this otherworld?
Even though these skills weren’t ones she had mastered naturally, Naya still considered the abilities granted to her after birth as her own.
She wanted to show her strong side to Iris, to let her know that Naya was worthy of the title “Dragon Queen’s Consort.”
With her spear over her shoulder, Naya walked toward a more spacious area, turning back to give Iris a serious look.
“Watch me closely, Iris.”
“All right, all right.”
Iris smiled lovingly, her eyes full of adoration.
Her wife was still as adorable as ever.
Believing without a doubt that Naya loved her, Iris had willingly offered up her red dragon scales—how wonderful.
She hadn’t failed Naya’s trust.
“Ha! One dance!”
Whoosh whoosh whoosh!
With a swift shout, Naya began to perform a theatrical dance, reminiscent of Miss Yun Jin’s dramatic routines, elegantly twirling the spear in her hands.
Her movements were graceful and seductive.
Despite wearing a skirt, it didn’t hinder Naya’s spear dance at all.
She even managed to keep the hem of her skirt from flaring up during her spins and jumps, avoiding any potential embarrassment.
Indeed, a young girl’s means of survival in another world wasn’t about grabbing fate by the throat, but more about keeping Newton’s coffin nailed shut.
However, Iris’s eyes were entirely focused on the two bouncing “rabbits” on Naya’s chest.
She couldn’t help but feel…
If Naya went into battle like this, it would be a little unsettling to know that others could witness her alluring display.
Maybe it was best to limit Naya’s battles from now on.
As long as Naya could perform a spear dance for her now and then, that would be enough.
Finally, Naya finished with a smooth spear-kicking motion. The spear spun in midair, and when it fell, Naya caught the handle with precision, pointing it directly at Iris.
“Huff… huff…”
Naya was panting heavily, her eyes still filled with the focus and seriousness from her dance.
Meanwhile, Iris stood unfazed, staring down the tip of the spear aimed at her.
Naya tossed the spear into the air, sending it back into the System’s dimensional storage, then gleefully leaped into Iris’s arms.
“How was it? Wasn’t I awesome?”
“Yes, very impressive, and beautiful.”
Iris wrapped an arm around Naya’s slender waist. Naya’s heavy breathing and warm breath on Iris’s neck felt almost like the aftermath of their intimate moments together.
The sound of her gulping, every soft moan, tugged at Iris’s heartstrings.
Her chest was pressed against something soft and warm, like two freshly baked buns.
“Hehe… it may have been a bit flashy, but at least I’ve proven that I’ve got some skills. If it weren’t for that earlier information gap, and if my Holy Spear hadn’t been destroyed by you, I could’ve kept fighting! I’m not that weak.”
“Now that you’ve become a dragon, you’re even stronger.”
“Yeah.”
Naya looked up at Iris’s crimson eyes.
“What exactly was that move? How could it destroy a world-class artifact in one blow?”
“I’ve told you before, I have abilities that surpass the rules of this world. I can destroy any physical object.”
“That’s incredible!”
Naya mimicked Iris’s tone, but deep inside, she was a bit worried.
Can only physical objects be destroyed?
That meant there was still a weakness. Non-physical entities, like magical energy, might be able to bypass Iris’s defense.
But when it came to magic, there was no being stronger than the dragons.
For now, Iris already had the ultimate spear and shield.
Naya’s task was simply to protect herself when Iris wasn’t around.
“So, after everything I’ve done for you, don’t you think I deserve a little reward?”
“What… what kind of reward do you want?”
Of course, Naya knew this cheeky dragon wouldn’t pass up this kind of opportunity.
Her eyes widened, watching Iris’s mischievous grin, fearful of whatever strange play Iris might suggest.
“Well… yesterday, Veltia mentioned that the defeated black-haired Hero was willing to surrender to the dragons and accept their identity. I want to extract the special energy from him—just like the one in you. He said he would cooperate, but I’m not familiar with this type of energy. Before I proceed, could you help me probe him a bit? Since you were both human once, you might be able to tell if he’s sincere or just trying to fake a surrender to escape.”
That was a lot of information all at once.
Naya’s brain took a moment to catch up.
Was Iris asking her to help with her work?
Naya eagerly nodded.
She had thought she would always just be Iris’s golden canary, but now that she could help Iris, she wouldn’t hesitate!
“All right.”
“Of course, I’ll protect you, so don’t worry about him trying to ambush you.”
“I don’t need your protection. After all, I was the strongest Hero once.”
“If Naya got even a scratch, I’d be heartbroken. I’ll stick by your side the whole time, acting as your knight, ensuring not a single harm comes to my queen.”
Iris let go of Naya, taking her hand and playfully kissing the back of it.
Seeing Iris bow her head like a knight in front of her, Naya’s heart fluttered, and she couldn’t stop the smile spreading across her face.
“Your silver tongue is getting smoother and smoother.”
Iris smiled slightly and took another step forward toward Naya.
Suddenly, without warning, she scooped Naya up into her arms.
“Ah!”
Naya quickly wrapped her arms around Iris’s neck. Her view was half the brilliant night sky and half this radiant sun in front of her.
“Now that business is done, it’s time for our sweet couple time.”
“Didn’t I already give you your reward?”
“Yes.”
Iris lifted Naya’s upper body and kissed her on the forehead.
“But isn’t this just part of our daily routine?”
Naya buried her head in Iris’s chest.
“Geez… I really can’t handle you.”
Unable to contain her embarrassment, Naya hid her flushed cheeks. Iris carried her like a bridegroom on their wedding night, proudly heading back to their room.
Along the way, they passed some of the guards, making Naya even more embarrassed.
Recently…
Iris had been changing a lot.
Well, maybe not just recently.
Iris’s transformation wasn’t entirely random. Probably around three months ago?
She had become hopelessly attached to Naya, constantly thinking about being intimate. Back then, Naya hadn’t even recovered her memories yet.
Iris must have already started thinking about having a second child back then.
After they returned to their room, Naya looked up at Iris’s well-defined jawline.
“Even though we’ve been married for three years, it still feels like we’re newlyweds.”
“Yes, because every day with you feels like a grand wedding celebration.”
Iris placed Naya gently on the bed, her hands resting on either side of Naya’s head, her gaze full of tender affection that needed no words.
Naya gripped the sheets tightly and closed her eyes.
