“Go where?” Jiang Yisheng muttered. “Nine days remain in the valley.”
“To the entrance,” Zhang Yao decided. “Wan Yingheng can survive alone. We’ll avoid him.”
Ye Yun agreed, ferrying them swiftly. At the entrance, diminished lightning allowed safe recovery.
“Our quarrel was… misguided,” Ye Yun said cheerfully. “Heal well. If we meet again, remember your vows.” His smile sharpened—a veiled warning.
