Chapter 410: Spirit Gathering Pill
The Alchemy Cauldron Sect’s shop in the capital had five layers. Even with Ye Yun’s current status and the black token, he could only access up to the third floor.
The pills on the third floor surpassed expectations. Nearly every Foundation Establishment stage pill was available, including common Foundation Establishment Pills that guaranteed success for those at the pinnacle of the Qi refining stage.
"What’s this pill?" Ye Yun stared at a small teal pill locked inside a crystal ball, unlike the casually displayed ones. Wisps of teal mist swirled around it, giving it a hazy appearance.
"Young master has excellent taste. This Spirit Gathering Pill instantly replenishes all true qi for cultivators below the Seventh Level of Foundation Establishment. Don’t let the simple name fool you—its potency is unmatched," the attendant explained eagerly.
"Spirit Gathering Pill?" Ye Yun frowned. He’d obtained one from the Hualun Secret Vault before, but it looked different—no mist, no black specks, just pure teal.
"Correct. It boosts a Qi refining cultivator by one level instantly. For those below Seventh Level Foundation Establishment, it fully restores true qi," the attendant added, nodding vigorously.
Ye Yun narrowed his eyes. Back in his body refinement days, he’d stored that pill in his Thunder Sound Metamorphosis ring, planning to use it at Qi refining’s fifth or sixth level. But Su Hao’s inheritance had catapulted him past Qi refining entirely, making the pill useless.
Seeing another Spirit Gathering Pill here intrigued him. Though clueless about alchemy, he wanted to compare the two.
"May I examine it?"
The attendant hesitated. "I’ll request permission. With your black token, it should be allowed."
Ye Yun nodded, studying the pill while his spirit perception checked the one in his ring. No mist surrounded his vault-acquired pill, and its quality felt superior.
Soon, a middle-aged man in blue approached. "I’m Shan Yu Chun, outer sect elder overseeing this floor. Normally, we don’t display such precious pills, but your black token grants an exception." He handed over the pill.
Ye Yun inspected it. Flaws marred its surface, and its energy felt weaker. "This seems poorly made."
"Respectfully, young master, this pill was crafted by our elders!" the attendant protested.
Shan Yu Chun chuckled. "There are minor imperfections, but the effects remain. It still boosts Qi refining cultivators by one level or restores true qi for Foundation Establishment."
Ye Yun noted the elder’s evasive gaze but shrugged. His own pill was better anyway. With his dense true qi, this flawed version might still help during the dangerous Great Qin Empire mission.
"How much?"
Shan Yu Chun smiled. "Refining it takes months, even for Golden Core elders. But for you—1,000 top-grade spirit stones."
Old Cheng exploded. "Highway robbery!"
The elder remained calm. "A life-saving pill is priceless. Surely a noble like yourself can afford it."
Ye Yun smirked. "I could pay 1,000. But since you assume I don’t care, I’ll haggle. Now I care."
Shan Yu Chun’s smile faltered. "800. Final offer."
"Slashing 200 so easily? Not so precious after all," Ye Yun taunted but paid. The attendant gaped at the glowing spirit stones in his arms.
After storing the pill, Ye Yun asked, "Do you have soul-restoring pills? My friend’s Soul’s Fire is nearly gone."
Shan Yu Chun frowned. "Surviving in that state is miraculous. Recovery seems impossible… but I’ll consult our elders."
Ye Yun left, the elder personally escorting him out, eyes gleaming at future business prospects.
