Chapter 333: Everything Within Control
Crack!
Ice shards exploded outward. Without the Judgment Platform’s restrictions, they would’ve frozen everything within a hundred zhang. Disciples with low cultivation levels couldn’t have survived.
Chen Tianyun stood motionless, numb even as hundreds of ice shards struck him. He couldn’t believe Ye Yun shattered his Ice Sealing the Firmament so effortlessly.
When the shock wore off, pain flooded his body. His clothes and skin were cut by the sharp ice—superficial wounds, but humiliating.
“Impossible!”
Chen Tianyun’s mind reeled.
Below the platform, the crowd stared in stunned silence. Even Elder Seven, who trusted Ye Yun most, hadn’t expected this.
“Could you block that Ice Sealing the Firmament?” Duan Yunsha muttered darkly to Duan Hongcheng.
“Maybe, but not without injury. Breaking free after being sealed? No chance,” Duan Hongcheng answered, voice hollow.
“Unless Mei Yansheng’s bluffing, only his master brother’s arrival might change things now,” Duan Yunsha said coldly.
“You underestimate the Heavenly Sword Sect,” Duan Hongcheng replied. “They’ve ruled the Jin Kingdom for centuries. Chen Tianyun and Ye Yun are beyond us. Even Su Hao and Murong Wuqing… Bringing an army here would’ve failed.”
On the platform, Ye Yun didn’t wait. He stepped forward, Purple Shadow Sword gleaming.
“You like ice techniques? Let me show you mine!”
The air froze. Ice encased the entire platform, leaving only five zhang between them.
“Ice Sealing a Thousand Miles? Elder Seven taught you? Useless against me!” Chen Tianyun scoffed, recognizing the group-attack technique.
“Not meant to hurt you. Just hiding what happens next,” Ye Yun said calmly.
“An inner disciple of Shadowless Peak? Show me your tricks!” Chen Tianyun sneered, masking his unease.
Ye Yun smiled. “Same move. Born as a Sword!”
The sword flashed. Chen Tianyun’s eyes widened—lightning, flames, ice energy, and strange spiritual energy swirled together impossibly.
Now he understood the ice barrier’s purpose—to conceal this fusion of energies. The strike’s power defied reason.
Panicking, Chen Tianyun summoned the Spirit Demon Race’s Divine Talisman.
“Using Illusionary Three Absolutes now?” Ye Yun flicked his sword, light rippling like water.
Outside, the crowd saw only ice-covered platform and blurred figures.
“What’s Ye Yun doing?” Su Hao fretted. Chen Tianyun neared the Seventh Level of Foundation Establishment and had Elder Shi’s treasures.
“He’s cautious. Must have a plan,” Elder Seven said, though worry creased his brow.
Su Ling smiled calmly. “He doesn’t act blindly. Sealing the platform traps Chen Tianyun.”
“His growth is astounding,” Shui Qingxuan remarked. “Half a year ago, he was weak. Now this.”
Murong Wuqing’s voice cut through: “Chen Tianyun loses.”
Elder Shi snorted, glaring at the platform.
Mei Yansheng hovered afar. After studying the ice, shock then glee twisted his face.
Inside, Ye Yun merged three exotic spiritual energies with his true qi. The Purple Shadow Sword pulsed, its arc shimmering as he thrust.
“Born as a Sword!”
Lightning, ice, and fire coexisted—separate yet united. The strike’s power surpassed imagination.
“Illusionary Three Absolutes!” Chen Tianyun roared. A wolf-headed specter with green eyes materialized, demon energy flooding the space. It surged into the talisman, which shattered into swirling light.
Ye Yun’s surroundings warped—Chen Tianyun vanished, replaced by swirling stars.
“Interesting illusion.” Ye Yun grinned, raising his sword.
“Immortals and Demons Appear, Heaven and Earth Become Clear!”
A third eye glowed on his forehead, shooting black-white light.
“I’d never provoke your Illusionary Three Absolutes without my Immortal Demon Spiritual Eye.”
