Chapter 15: You Are Not Fighting Alone! (1)
The world the eldest princess saw was fragmented through her tears.
The brightest light came from a fierce orange glow.
It was so overwhelming that she felt she didn’t belong in it.
The world moved too quickly, leaving her behind!
Then, everything changed in an instant. When she showed her weakness, Bai Lian suddenly burst into her world like a speeding carriage.
Drip by drip—
She was taken by surprise.
In the room, she was dressed in unsuitable clothes, surrounded by women, as warmth filled the air.
Bai Lian stood on the window frame, one hand pressed against the wall, with a cold rain falling behind her.
The world was suddenly so cold.
These two worlds were so close—just a few steps away—but the distance between them felt immeasurable, with an insurmountable chasm between them.
The eldest princess’ mind was clouded with one question: Why is she here?
Her thoughts were a tangled mess.
She was so bewildered that she couldn’t move, as if frozen in place.
A brief silence settled in the room.
The women stared at Bai Lian, who had come with a sword.
This is…
The young master’s wife? Does she come to cause trouble?
Young master, your wife looks fierce!
Look at the way she hangs on the window—
The women hesitated, unsure whether to call someone to remove Bai Lian.
Things felt off, but before they could act, Bai Lian spoke.
“No matter what happens, please leave here with me first.”
The eldest princess was startled.
She quickly wiped away the tears from her eyes.
Before her stood a strange woman, but the voice—so familiar—made it clear. This was Bai Lian!
The eldest princess didn’t want Bai Lian to see her in such an embarrassing state.
Their first meeting had been under the stars when Bai Lian appeared on a flying warship.
At that time, the princess had been full of confidence, even though Bai Lian had beaten her away with a single blow. She had been proud then, but now…
She turned away, her voice cold.
“This girl, I have never met you before. I think you must be mistaken.”
Mistaken?
The women in the room turned to look at her.
Bai Lian simply sighed, Are you trying to save face?
If the situation were different, Bai Lian would have left without a second thought.
But there was clearly something wrong here.
Had the eldest princess been driven to tears because she was forced to do something she didn’t want?
Bai Lian wasn’t blind.
She had seen enough “blind protagonists” in some stories—those who would ignore what was happening right in front of them, convincing themselves that they had misheard or misunderstood.
How many times could someone keep making that mistake?
Bai Lian was cautious.
She had become braver over time, but her safety would always come first.
She noticed that although the eldest princess had wiped her eyes, they still shimmered with unshed tears, as if they might fall at any moment.
She was troubled by something!
Otherwise, the princess wouldn’t have lingered by the pool for so long before entering Moon Fragrance Pavilion.
Bai Lian sighed. “It’s getting late. Come back with me.”
The eldest princess wasn’t ready to give in. She decided to refuse.
“I won’t leave. What can you do?”
“Girl, you are truly mistaken. I’m not the person you are looking for.”
Bai Lian’s tone was firm. “Stop making excuses and come home with me.”
“Home?”
The eldest princess clenched her teeth and shook her head.
“Girl, do you even know where this is?”
“Of course.” Bai Lian nodded. “Moon Fragrance Pavilion, a place where you can have fun!”
The eldest princess gave a faint smile, but it was bitter.
“Fun?”
Bai Lian, you are really young.
She didn’t want to explain further and just wanted to get Bai Lian to leave as soon as possible.
She sighed and shook her head. “Girl, you are mistaken. This is not a place for fun. Why are you even here? Do you want to see…”
She realized her words were inappropriate and quickly changed her tone.
“To get close to me?”
Bai Lian rolled her eyes.
Is this really what you think?
The princess probably thought Bai Lian was taken aback by her words.
Bai Lian just wanted her to leave, to go far away, and never cross paths again.
But—
The eldest princess clenched her hands tightly under the table.
She was lying to herself.
After those words, she didn’t feel relief but an even greater emptiness.
She needed something to fill the void—or she might just be swallowed by it.
Patta.
Footsteps echoed, and the eldest princess looked up to see Bai Lian moving toward her.
“Girl, do you really want to try something with me? There are still ten girls waiting for me…”
Cut the crap!
Bai Lian quickly crossed the room and grabbed her ear in front of everyone.
“I’m a straightforward person. Since you won’t obey and come with me, I’ll use force!”
“Ah, girl…”
The eldest princess was immediately lifted off the ground by Bai Lian.
The women around them gasped.
Some wanted to cry out for help, but Bai Lian summoned dozens of ice butterflies to silence them with their magic.
“They’ll forget you when they wake up,” she said.
“Let go!”
The eldest princess struggled, but Bai Lian didn’t let go.
Instead, she held her waist and leapt out of the pavilion.
“Miss Xu, do you want to fight with me here? This building can’t handle our fierce battle.”
The princess’ resistance faded.
She wasn’t worried about the pavilion breaking, but suddenly remembered that she could never defeat Bai Lian.
Bai Lian was stronger, and all she could do was endure.
Seeing the princess stop resisting, Bai Lian took her to a pool.
The rain splashed onto the water’s surface.
“What happened?” Bai Lian asked softly.
The eldest princess looked at the water, lost in thought. She didn’t respond.
Bai Lian guessed, “Is it related to Canglong Garden?”
The eldest princess didn’t speak, not even using her power to disperse the rain.
“Come on,” Bai Lian sighed.
There was no way out.
Bai Lian created an umbrella of spirit Qi, shielding the princess from the rain.
Then a new option appeared before her.
[Task 1: Turn the eldest princess over with a slap, and then ride on her waist, “Want to have fun? I’ll teach you!” (Reward: Muddy Rain Seal)]
[Task 2: Slap the eldest princess in the face, “Is it fun to indulge yourself?” (Reward: Hard Skill+4)]
[Task 3: Reprimand the eldest princess, then hold her and say, “I’ll wait for you to say it yourself.” (Reward: Soft Skill+2)]
“???”
Bai Lian was perplexed.
Task 1 made sense.
Task 2 was easy to understand as well.
But Task 3—
If she just hugged the princess without doing anything else, why would the reward be Soft Skill +2?
Bai Lian had no choice.
She pointed at the eldest princess and began speaking.
“Do you really find it interesting to do that?”
“You can’t hurt others; you only hurt yourself!”
“Have you forgotten who you are?”
“It really pisses me off!”
After a storm of words, Bai Lian took a deep breath, then pulled the eldest princess into her arms.
She gently patted her head, back, and—well, her butt.
Be good.
[Listen to me. It’s not your style to abandon yourself.]
The eldest princess, though taller than Bai Lian, didn’t resist.
Bai Lian didn’t mind such trivialities.
Bai Lian whispered, “I’m waiting for you to say it yourself.”
She had a lot to say.
But she held back.
The eldest princess didn’t resist.
Bai Lian’s arms were cold, and the bad weather seemed to match the mood.
