Chapter 17: I Can’t Believe You Are Like This, Bai Lian! (1)
That’s unfortunate.
As Si Yunshang gazed upon the Duxian sect, a sudden thought crossed her mind.
If Bai Lian’s master arrives later, perhaps they could place a “seal” on her.

Si Yunshang placed the glass bottle before her. The early autumn sunlight filtered through it, illuminating the liquid inside.

Si Yunshang looked up to see Nishang flying towards her on a fiery red sword.
Nishang’s expression was anxious. “We need to get to the Duxian sect quickly!”
Si Yunshang shook her head.
“If we arrive late, perhaps Bai Lian will already have…” Nishang trailed off.
“It’s over,” Si Yunshang interrupted.
“Huh?”
Nishang was taken aback, her face full of surprise. “It’s over? Really over?”
Si Yunshang replied calmly, “Bai Lian is safe and sound. I just came back from the Duxian sect.”

Nishang’s pale face flushed red.
She had vowed to fight alongside Master Yunshang and make a good impression on Bai Lian, but she had arrived late!

After calming herself, she asked, “Did Bai Lian tell you anything?”
Si Yunshang smiled and lifted the glass bottle in her hand.
“She gave me something!”
As she shook the bottle, it flickered with a colorful glow. The radiant light reflected off Si Yunshang’s face, making her appear even more dazzling.
For the first time, Nishang saw her master so genuinely happy.

Nishang’s heart was brimming with joy.
This was a gift from Bai Lian! It seemed Master Yunshang had truly left a lasting impression on her this time.
“She really deserves to be my Master Yunshang,” Nishang thought with pride. “When she’s serious, nothing can stand in her way!”
“Sister Yunshang, may I ask what this is?” Nishang inquired politely.

She opened the bottle in front of Nishang and poured a few drops onto the back of her hand.
The liquid was cool to the touch, slick and transparent.

Nishang’s eyes widened in shock.
Master Yunshang’s skin began to glow, and a delicate blush bloomed across her cheeks.
Master Yunshang looked radiant—almost too radiant.
“The effect… is quite good,” Si Yunshang said with a faint smile, finally managing to escape Nishang’s gaze.

But as Nishang prepared to leave, her body felt oddly warm.
It’s so hot…
Though she had used only a little, it felt as if her body was ablaze.
“Bai Lian…”
Si Yunshang’s entire body stiffened as realization struck her.
Bai Lian had stored this peculiar thing in her pendant.
