Chapter 16: The Sinful Woman Within Me! (1)
The scene was nothing short of horrific.
At least, that was Bai Lian’s opinion.
When she awoke, she was startled to find her Master lifting her skirt to examine the contents within.
“?”
Something had to be wrong with this world!
Even though this world was based on an R18 game, this was beyond her comprehension.
How could An Lan, who was naturally proud and aloof, be doing something so… undignified? Peeking at her disciple’s pants while she slept?
Impossible.
Bai Lian didn’t believe it for a second. Even in the game, where she was “captured,” An Lan restrained herself and never crossed such a line.
She forced herself to calm down.
This had to be a dream. If it was a dream, then…
She wouldn’t panic. Instead, she’d fight back, show her growth, and turn the tables. Maybe she’d even smile and tease her Master, massaging her thigh as she quipped, “You’ve seen my legs, now it’s your turn to show me yours!”
But alas, this wasn’t a dream.
There were people outside the cave—quite a few of them, in fact. If they rushed in and caught this scene, she and Shifu would both be ostracized.
That couldn’t happen!
Suppressing her shock, Bai Lian coughed lightly to wake her Shifu and restore some semblance of normalcy.
She shifted slightly, pulling her stool back to free her skirt from An Lan’s grasp.
But before she could say anything, An Lan’s soft yet commanding voice stopped her in her tracks.
“Don’t move.”
Bai Lian froze.
At that moment, An Lan’s dissatisfaction was palpable.
Her disciple’s sudden movement had almost ruined her focus, and she was not pleased.
Despite the awkward silence, An Lan calmly continued loosening Bai Lian’s skirt.
As the hem dropped, a faint breeze swept through the cave. The cave was warm, but Bai Lian couldn’t help but shiver.
Luckily, An Lan’s odd behavior finally seemed to cease.
Yet Bai Lian remained puzzled. She couldn’t shake the feeling that her Shifu’s injury might have been a pretense.
Was it all a dream, perhaps triggered by the aftermath of her accidentally stealing her Master’s first kiss?
…Could it be that Shifu had retaliated by knocking her unconscious?
She quickly dismissed that possibility.
After all, her cultivation had advanced to the early Soul Changing Stage. There was no way she’d lose consciousness so easily.
Her gaze shifted to An Lan, who had emerged from under the quilt and was now sitting on the bed, legs crossed gracefully.
“Master…”
“Be quiet,” An Lan cut her off sharply.
Bai Lian blinked.
Today’s Shifu seemed fiercer than usual.
An Lan, meanwhile, appeared deep in thought, her chin resting in her hand.
Everything was such a mess.
But amidst the chaos, she felt like she was on the verge of grasping something important.
She needed to focus. She couldn’t afford to let distractions—like Bai Lian’s confusion—derail her train of thought.
Her gaze turned analytical.
First, the number had decreased.
Next, the color was lighter—not as dark as it used to be.
An Lan nodded to herself in agreement.
But why had it changed?
She looked up and locked eyes with Bai Lian.
“…”
Bai Lian’s expression was sharp and skeptical.
Dark? I’m as pale as milk!
An Lan ignored her disciple’s silent protest and asked directly, “What have you been up to while I was away?”
Bai Lian hesitated, then shifted the conversation. “Shifu, how’s your injury? Shouldn’t you lie down and rest?”
An Lan shook her head. “Let’s not waste time.”
Though exasperated, Bai Lian decided to humor her Shifu for now.
“I haven’t done much,” she replied.
Apart from taking her usual walks, she’d spent most of her time cultivating, painting, and making clothes.
An Lan frowned.
Something wasn’t adding up.
She had been secretly observing Bai Lian’s activities for quite some time. Comparing recent events to the past, the only new thing Bai Lian had done was make clothes.
An Lan’s thoughts wandered.
Could it be that the ominous “Death” marks on Bai Lian’s body faded as her disciple showed her more respect?
If so… how disrespectful had Bai Lian been in the past?!
No, that couldn’t be it.
The marks likely had something to do with Mu Yisheng.
“Karma.”
“Killing intent.”
An Lan’s thoughts grew increasingly chaotic.
Could it be that the entire world bore a grudge against Bai Lian?
After all, Mu Yisheng was dead, and there was an infinitesimal chance that Bai Lian had anything to do with his death.
The mere possibility made An Lan restless.
She stood from the bed and knelt slowly beside Bai Lian.
“?”
Bai Lian was utterly bewildered.
Before she could say anything, An Lan stopped her with a firm command.
“Don’t move.”
An Lan leaned forward and placed her hand gently on Bai Lian’s head.
Pure spirit Qi flowed into Bai Lian, enveloping her like a warm, soothing wave.
