Chapter 11: Showing Off! (2)
“You, of all people…”
Bai Lian took a step forward. She recalled the plot of the game. Even in the best storyline, Master Qin, the leader of Qingyu Peak, perished at the hands of Mu Yisheng, and countless ordinary disciples died in the aftermath of the war. In the worst storyline, the battle resulted in the death of most of the Duxian Sect’s disciples, and Yan Yue was gravely injured, losing all hope of becoming an Immortal.
Whether for the events she remembered from the game or for the women who hovered beside her, Bai Lian could not forgive Mu Yisheng or let him go.
Apply Special Effects on him!
As Bai Lian’s anger grew, her fists became enveloped in dense water mist that seemed to conceal sparkling stars. She shook her fist. Her movements appeared slow, but Mu Yisheng had nowhere to hide. At that moment, Bai Lian shouted as her fist crashed heavily into Mu Yisheng’s chest.
“You better be dead!”
Bang!
The sun shone everywhere, and the stars twinkled. Even the people in the bright light were amazed.
“You jerk!”
They watched as Mu Yisheng yelled furiously.
A Natural Saint? And then what?
The reincarnation of a Star Lord? And what of it?
At the Transcendency Stage? And what’s the significance?
Those who obstruct his path would perish!
Bang, bang, bang.
Mu Yisheng fiercely battled with Bai Lian.
Counting: one, two, three…
Fists surrounded by white light twisted through the air. Yet, as the fight dragged on, Mu Yisheng began to falter. His composure crumbled under Bai Lian’s relentless attacks.
Pop.
His arm cracked, and blood began to flow.
Pop.
His shoulders drooped, and his arms felt as heavy as lead.
Pop.
His chest caved in, his heart and lungs crushed.
“How is that possible?” Mu Yisheng vigorously shook his head. If Bai Lian was truly so powerful, how could she have ever been under the control of the Yin Yuan Immortal Mirror?
It’s all untrue!
“Fool!”
Bai Lian punched Mu Yisheng so hard that his head exploded, only for it to regenerate back to its original state. Even though Bai Lian had reached the Soul Changing Stage, her strength was only comparable to that of an average cultivator in the later stages of the Soul Changing Stage.
Bai Lian couldn’t suppress Mu Yisheng on her own due to her limited power; she succeeded because she had someone else fighting alongside her.
She had company! She had a hundred thousand pure souls behind her! These souls were so powerful that they were able to break the violent Yin Yuan Immortal Mirror’s item spirit, making it possible to suppress Mu Yisheng.
“I cannot die yet. I have not avenged myself.”
Mu Yisheng panicked. As he fled towards the left, he was immediately met by Si Yunshang, whose fierce attacks were like a raging storm. After several skirmishes, he hurriedly fled towards the right, only to find his way blocked by Yu Xinghan.
“I told you I would kill you!”
In a state of panic after receiving a severe blow, Mu Yisheng fled to Marquis Wu’an.
“Release me!” he roared.
Expressionless, Marquis Wu’an shook his head. Times have changed indeed.
“What the hell!” Mu Yisheng cursed. “Didn’t you say you came to help me?”
“Evil!” Marquis Wu’an shouted coldly. “Don’t slander me!”
He slapped Mu Yisheng, sending him crashing to the ground.
I am unable to run away.
Mu Yisheng glanced around. People were everywhere, and laughter filled the air. He could only hope to escape if Bai Lian was caught.
Mu Yisheng gritted his teeth. He got up and sprinted towards Bai Lian.
“Bai Lian, I’m going to…”
Mu Yisheng halted in the middle. Amidst the bamboo forest illuminated with a soft glow, a gorgeous lily blossomed before Bai Lian’s eyes. Before long, a slender woman draped in blue appeared. She simply balled up her fists.
Pop.
Mu Yisheng’s body shattered into pieces. He was on the verge of death. When he turned back into a human, he felt completely hopeless.
Why is there someone else here?
An Lan sneered, “How dare you lay a finger on my disciple?”
Mu Yisheng was unable to hear anything. He simply couldn’t comprehend. He had only targeted Bai Lian—why did it feel like he had stirred up a hornet’s nest?
“Master.”
In surprise, Bai Lian rushed towards An Lan. There was much she wanted to say to An Lan, but it would have to wait until Mu Yisheng was dealt with.
“I’ll take care of him,” Bai Lian said.
An Lan looked at Bai Lian with soft eyes, withdrew her raised hand, and said, “Okay.”
Bai Lian gave a nod.
“You may proceed,” she said to the souls that had been purified.
In the blink of an eye, they emerged from the Yin Yuan Immortal Mirror that was draped around Mu Yisheng’s neck like a tide, enveloping him.
“No way!” Mu Yisheng let out a scream. He was battered by countless hands, his soul shredded and pulled into the mirror against his will. He put up a valiant fight, but his strength proved insufficient. Despite shouting for his men to help, none answered his call.
Ultimately, he was left alone. He was the creator of the Yin Yuan Immortal Mirror, and he ultimately met his demise within its confines.
As the Yin Yuan Immortal Mirror crashed onto the ground with an echoing clatter, a multitude of lights dispersed from the glowing white column. Silence filled the world. A gentle melody could be heard emanating from the depths of the mirror.
“Bai Lian, thank you.”
