Chapter 32: Is This the Will of Bai Lian? (2)
The wind blew again, and the snow mountain stood quietly, as if nothing had happened. The collision between Bai Lian and Nishang had ended.
“You lost.” Bai Lian gently pushed away the long lance hovering in front of her.
Nishang let the lance fall from her hand. Despite failing to stab Bai Lian, she didn’t feel depressed. She had done her best, and being defeated by Bai Lian brought her unprecedented happiness.
As Confucius said, “If the dawn breaks out into the ultimate truth, then the dusk takes in glorious sacrifices.”
A new task appeared before Bai Lian:
[Task 1: Kill Nishang (Reward: an inferior Spirit Tool – Fifteen Sky Questions)]
[Task 2: Humiliate Nishang (Reward: Spell – Bone Seal)]
[Task 3: Let Nishang leave (Reward: Focus +2)]
Bai Lian chose Task 3. “These two points of Focus are worth it.”
But then she added, “I haven’t completed my punch yet!” and hit Nishang with her fist, blowing her away.
“Don’t stop me on the road again! Puff. Satisfying!”
“Let’s go.” Bai Lian said to Nishang, who was still rolling in the snow.
After rolling dozens of times, Nishang pulled her head out of the snow.
“You’re not going to kill me?” she asked.
Bai Lian replied, “Do you want to die?”
Nishang shook her head. “Why should I die if I can live?”
“Kill yourself if you want to die, and leave quickly if you don’t want to die.”
Nishang didn’t leave immediately. She smiled, holding the snow.
She had wanted to teach Bai Lian a lesson but instead experienced great happiness from fighting her.
Goosebumps covered her scalp. “What a wonderful experience!”
She sighed, “I understand now. No wonder Si Yunshang said you’re the best person in the world.”
Bai Lian’s eyes narrowed. Si Yunshang? The Demon Woman who brought Nishang here?
She remembered the task reward for saving Si Yunshang: the Supreme Real Elixir.
Nishang nodded. “You’re the only one who can become my Shifu’s companion.”
Bai Lian stared. “Who said I’d be your Shifu’s companion?”
Nishang explained, “Si Yunshang is not my Shifu, but… she’s just like my Shifu.”
Nishang ran away, leaving behind, “I will go first.”
Bai Lian watched her disappear into the snow.
She found something in the snow pit but was too embarrassed to pick it up.
Bai Lian tidied her clothes and flew to the former Saint.
“Greetings again.”
The former Saint smiled. “My sister and I are just passing by. Fairy Bai Lian, you don’t need to care about us.”
Bai Lian greeted them and went to the top of the snow mountain alone.
The former Saint and her sister left, pretending to be ordinary disciples of Yaochi Holy Mountain.
The wind and snow covered their footprints.
Bai Lian stood up. “Finally, they left.”
She whispered, then shook her head. “It’s really baffling. Enlightenment? The former Saint is so imaginative.”
Bai Lian held out her hand, and a dozen milky white cubes flew out of the snow pit.
“Ha ha, they’re really best-quality Spirit Stones!”
Her eyes became crescent-shaped with laughter.
They fell from Nishang when Bai Lian beat her.
Bai Lian thought, With these Spirit Stones, my ticket money can be saved!
She walked down the hill, and half a day later, she boarded the flying ship to the Duxian sect.
