Chapter 10: Use Your Invincible White Tiger Fist to Find a Way! (1)
Si Yunshang didn’t show Bai Lian a good attitude the entire journey.
Although she was now convinced that “Chen Lu” hadn’t deceived her, this didn’t improve her attitude toward “Chen Lu.”
This was mainly because “Chen Lu” had forcibly fed her another medicine earlier, leaving her weak and unable to muster any energy.
“Don’t worry,” Bai Lian had said casually. “This medicine usually won’t harm your body, but if you exercise violently, it’ll drown you in a ‘tsunami’!”
Adding insult to injury, “Chen Lu” had punched her in the eye. It still hadn’t fully healed, and the sight of Bai Lian’s dazzling ten ★s only made her chest and eye throb with pain.
“Is this woman also a pervert like Shen Xiangling?” Si Yunshang wondered bitterly.
Bai Lian, on the other hand, noticed Si Yunshang gently rubbing her chest several times and thought to herself, She truly lives up to her title as the Demon Woman—so bold!
Because of this, Bai Lian felt relieved that Si Yunshang was ignoring her.
Thank God!
Bai Lian had no time for any friction with the Demon Woman. Her only goal was to quickly eliminate the unruly members of the Huaxin Sect!
—
After a long journey, Bai Lian and Si Yunshang arrived at their destination at dawn: Taiwu City of Yunheng Mountain.
“So, the White Tiger Hall is hiding in a place like this?” Bai Lian muttered, taking in the bustling marketplace.
She was stunned. Was this what they meant by hiding in plain sight?
Si Yunshang explained, “The Huaxin Sect was originally a common martial arts sect. Over two hundred years ago, the leader of the sect had a sudden breakthrough, reaching the peak of the Foundation Establishment Stage. From that point, the Huaxin Sect transitioned into a somewhat special cultivation sect…”
Bai Lian listened attentively, acknowledging that the Huaxin Sect was indeed unique. Unlike other sects that guided spirit Qi, the Huaxin Sect seemed to take an unconventional approach.
“But the White Tiger Fist isn’t particularly strong, is it?” Bai Lian asked skeptically.
She remembered Zhou Kai bragging about the strength of his White Tiger Fist—right before he was defeated without even landing a punch.
“Master of Kungfu?” Bai Lian scoffed inwardly. “What a joke!”
Si Yunshang continued, “Although the Huaxin Sect transitioned into a cultivation sect, the boxing halls they once managed weren’t shut down. Instead, they were repurposed to conduct shady operations for the sect.”
“You sure know a lot,” Bai Lian remarked.
Si Yunshang huffed. She had been investigating the Huaxin Sect for over a year to bring about its downfall. If she hadn’t uncovered such details, she might as well smash her head against a rock in shame.
She said, “I don’t know the exact location of the White Tiger Hall, but the owner of this boxing hall must. However, if you plan to attack, you must act swiftly and surround them before they can react. If you let them escape…”
“I understand.” Bai Lian nodded.
She wasn’t worried. After all, she wasn’t fighting alone.
—
“Let’s check it out first,” Si Yunshang said, leading the way.
As they walked, Bai Lian carried the jade rabbit, gently stroking its long ears. The rabbit’s ears were longer and softer than those of ordinary rabbits, making it more satisfying to touch than even a cat’s head.
The jade rabbit trembled in Bai Lian’s arms, letting out a soft chirp.
“Is this rabbit demon your spirit pet or Fairy Bai Lian’s?” Si Yunshang asked curiously.
“I raised it with Martial Sister Bai Lian,” Bai Lian replied. After a brief pause, she added, “Well, it’s really Martial Sister Bai Lian’s pet. She just lent it to me temporarily.”
“Are you lying to me?” Si Yunshang squinted suspiciously.
“Everyone knows Martial Sister Bai Lian has a spirit pet at the Nascent Soul Stage!”
Si Yunshang’s eyes widened, and she inhaled sharply.
A Nascent Soul Stage rabbit demon?
Her mind reeled. Perhaps it had been a wise decision to seek Bai Lian’s help after all.
Still, Si Yunshang felt bitter. Why would someone like Fairy Bai Lian associate with a person as hateful as Chen Lu?
—
Soon, they reached the boxing hall.
The entrance was crowded, and the signboard had been broken in half. Bai Lian could hear an anxious cry coming from the crowd:
“Brother Ma, use your invincible White Tiger Fist to find a way!”
Unable to see clearly through the crowd, Bai Lian extended her divine sense.
Inside the courtyard, a dozen people lay on the ground, groaning in pain. They had been arranged end to end, forming a rough circle.
Two figures remained standing in the center.
One was Brother Ma, a young man with bulging muscles that strained against his clothes.
The other was someone Bai Lian recognized: Chen Yizhi of Qingming Peak, one of the three leaders of the test. According to the game’s plot, he would eventually become possessed by a demon.
Bai Lian hadn’t expected Chen Yizhi to be the one to locate the White Tiger Hall!
Chen Yizhi had discarded his usual conspicuous outfit, opting for plain clothing. He stood with a calm expression, his right foot drawn back, and his fist slightly raised in preparation.
In comparison, Elder Martial Brother Ma looked far stronger, but his labored breathing and sweat-drenched face betrayed his exhaustion.
This young man had claimed it was merely a duel, but he had beaten his junior brothers so severely that they were still sprawled on the ground, unable to move.
Adding to the chaos, one of Brother Ma’s junior brothers kept shouting:
“Brother Ma, punch his face!”
“Brother Ma, the next move is White Tiger Shining Wings!”
“Brother Ma, be careful of your ass—he’s coming!”
“Brother Ma…”
Shut up!
Elder Martial Brother Ma’s patience was wearing thin. Fighting Chen Yizhi was hard enough without his junior brother’s incessant chatter.
“Brother,” Ma gasped. “Is there some kind of misunderstanding between us?”
Chen Yizhi’s expression remained cold. “I heard that this place is called a boxing hall but is actually a den of thieves.”
It turned out that Chen Yizhi had come to the boxing hall searching for someone. However, upon discovering a magic array guarding the inner hall, he became suspicious.
Elder Martial Brother Ma protested, “You’ve got it all wrong!”
After some negotiation, Chen Yizhi finally agreed to Brother Ma’s proposal to search the inner hall.
