Chapter 23 Part 1: Giving Birth and the Sword Tempering Ceremony (1)

In an Unknown Icy Cave

The icicles stood alongside the perennially frozen snowdrift, resembling a desolate, pale forest.

At the center of this frozen expanse, a patch of slush floated amidst broken ice.

The lake water was crystal clear, emanating an awe-inspiring chill.

Even a winter swimming champion would not dare to challenge such a perilous environment.

Yet at this moment, ripples began to form on the surface of the icy lake.

The ripples spread outward, their gentle motion stirring something deep within the human heart.

Following the ripples to their source, one would see a woman, unclothed, submerged in the freezing water.

Her plump body remained mostly hidden, with only the fair curves of her exposed buttocks visible above the surface.

With no one around, she casually allowed the water to flow down her bare skin.

Tick—

Amidst the endless whiteness, a single scarlet drop of blood suddenly slid down.

A faint, husky cough followed.

“Cough…”

Yue Wuyang quickly pressed her left chest.

She exerted great force, as if trying to push the pain away.

But this was inevitable.

The pain, surging from deep within, was far more excruciating than the tribulation she had endured when ascending to Celestial Immortal.

Only the cold water in this frozen pool could bring her some clarity.

“Why?”

Yue Wuyang slowly released her grip.

She looked down at the scar on her abdomen.

It was a deep, terrifying wound—running from her navel down, nearly cutting her in half.

If she had not awakened in time and sealed the space with her magic seal, she might have perished in the labyrinth.

A majestic Celestial Immortal, almost dying in the mortal realm?

How utterly ridiculous.

But that was exactly what had happened.

Yue Wuyang shuddered.

The Demon Lord’s strength far surpassed her expectations.

She dared to conclude that the Demon Lord was no weaker than an ordinary Immortal.

So why was he still staying in the East Divine Land?

The world was far more complex than she had imagined.

No wonder the Immortal Heavenly Lord had fled to this place.

Yue Wuyang gently massaged her abdomen.

“Alas…”

It had taken her three full days to wipe away the demon energy lingering on the wound.

However, despite its removal, a crimson mark remained on her lower abdomen.

It resembled a blooming flower, eerie yet emanating an aura of solemn slaughter.

She did not know what purpose this mark served.

But one thing was certain—it was not a blessing.

When it activated, would she, in her weakened state, even survive?

She did not know.

A deep sense of urgency settled in her heart.

She had to accelerate her progress.

The only silver lining was that she had not come away empty-handed.

At least, she had confirmed that the Demon Lord and the Immortal Heavenly Lord were not the same person.

She had also found Nishang afterward and, using the Art of Manipulation, uncovered Si Yunshang’s secret.

That day, Xili Mountain was in chaos.

Some people survived, while others perished.

One sect fell, and another sacred place rose.

While the world debated the rise and fall of the Lingxu Sect, hardly anyone noticed that Bai Lian had also been at Xili Mountain that day.

“Could that sword have been left behind by Bai Lian?”

Yue Wuyang remained motionless in the freezing pond.

She closed her eyes.

In her mind, she tried to decipher the true meaning of that sword mark.

It was the Way of the Great Tao, symbolizing collapse, destruction, and decline!

Then she thought of the Immortal Heavenly Lord.

Was this the power of the Immortal Heavenly Lord?

But Yue Wuyang dared not draw an immediate conclusion.

The Way of the Great Tao was not uncommon.

Throughout history, many had used it to prove themselves worthy of the divine throne.

But was this truly Bai Lian’s work?

She had only one chance.

The actions of the Master and the Witch Queen had been conducted in secrecy.

If she mistook someone, the truth would be exposed.

And when that happened, the Immortal Heavenly Lord would not only conceal herself—countless others would come seeking their share.

All her efforts would become meaningless.

Yue Wuyang focused, recollecting all of her impressions of Bai Lian.

Undoubtedly, Bai Lian was a woman who perfectly fit her sexual preferences!

She exuded an imperceptible aura of emptiness.

Like a blank slate, she seemed to have nothing, yet this very absence made others feel a relentless urge to taint her purity.

This was completely different from the arrogance and dominance of the Immortal Heavenly Lord.

But people can change!

Yue Wuyang recalled Bai Lian’s combat style.

She would overwhelm her enemies after invoking a series of magnificent special effects.

This was a stark contrast to the Immortal Heavenly Lord’s raw, domineering power.

But once again—

People can change!

Yue Wuyang’s Thoughts

Yue Wuyang recalled Bai Lian’s appearance once again.

In terms of body shape and plumpness, Bai Lian was not as well-endowed as her.

However, calling Bai Lian “fat” (plump) was not entirely inappropriate.

This was completely different from the Immortal Heavenly Lord, who once earned the title “Thin Tiger.”

But people can change!

Finally, Yue Wuyang remembered the words that Bai Lian had once spoken to her.

Bai Lian had hinted at a deep connection with Yaoguang Star Lord.

And during the great battle, Yaoguang Star Lord had voiced her support for the Immortal Heavenly Lord and had even fought personally.

This was perhaps the strongest evidence.

“Are you truly the Immortal Heavenly Lord?”

Yue Wuyang murmured to herself.

No one knew the true name of the Immortal Heavenly Lord.

Legend had it that her name was a taboo.

Those who dared to utter it would never have the chance to reincarnate as a human.

Therefore, she could not discern authenticity through a name alone.

She had no choice but to cautiously approach Bai Lian, pretending to know nothing.

Then, she would slowly peel away Bai Lian’s mask.

This path was not easy.

There were many obstacles in her way.

Moreover, Bai Lian already knew her inside out, while Yue Wuyang had no way of gauging Bai Lian’s true depths.

She understood that once she stepped forward, she could end up covered in blood.

But she was not afraid.

“For my master!”

She had escaped from the place where they trained female slaves.

She had endured the pain and torment of that past.

She had grown strong to this point.

All of this was because of her master.

Even if the Immortal Heavenly Lord in her prime stood before her, if her master ordered her to attack, she would do so without hesitation.

Even if it meant charging at the Immortal Heavenly Lord herself.

Emerging from the Icy Pool

Moments later, Yue Wuyang emerged from the icy pool.

Her long legs strode forward gracefully.

Her divine sense flowed outward.

As the gentle breeze brushed across the pond, countless water droplets surged into the air.

Like a whirlwind, they swirled around her body.

Gradually, they condensed into a cold, white, water-woven gown, draping over her figure.

“Go.”

Yue Wuyang pointed to a spot on her right.

Her thoughts flew across mountains and rivers, reaching Bai Lian’s side.

September 27 – The East Divine Land

On September twenty-seventh, the East Divine Land was far from peaceful.

The frequency of natural disasters had increased dramatically, drawing the attention of many cultivators.

Although it was not even October, the chilly north wind had already frozen the weeds along the roadside.

Within the Duxian Sect, the upper echelons had convened a meeting.

Although Bai Lian had taken over most of Qiongming Peak’s affairs, she did not need to participate.

An Lan was still present, so Bai Lian could sit this one out.

Instead, she accompanied Si Yunshang, who had only recently awakened, in a newly built cabin on the hill behind the sect.

After suppressing her demonic aura, Si Yunshang appeared even more elegant and dignified than the Fourth Martial Sister.

She carried herself with the air of a noblewoman.

At first, the Martial Sisters held great animosity toward her.

But gradually, they warmed up to her.

The Second and Fourth Martial Sisters were immersed in their cultivation, so they were less involved.

However, the Third and Fifth Martial Sisters often came to talk with Si Yunshang, as if seeking advice.

The Secrets Between Them

Sigh.

If the Martial Sisters ever found out that Si Yunshang had already done “that,” they would probably kill her on the spot.

“I learned all this while singing and playing on the flower boat.”

Si Yunshang leaned in close, almost biting Bai Lian’s ear.

Scrub! Scrub!

Bai Lian’s blood pressure spiked sharply.

Fortunately, her master was not present, and the foolish Fifth Sister had already bounded away.

Otherwise, the consequences would have been unimaginable.

However, Si Yunshang’s playfulness only extended this far.

She had actually wanted to have a ‘non-stop game’ with Bai Lian before leaving.

Unfortunately, this was Bai Lian’s master’s domain.

Never mind whether Bai Lian had the courage to go through with it.

Imagine if An Lan suddenly appeared in the middle of it all…

“Emmm…”

Could she really say, “Join us, you’ve come at just the right time”?

No.

Better to stay a quiet witch and bury the pleasure of that night deep within her body.

The Martial Sisters’ Questions

Si Yunshang recounted the recent events to Bai Lian.

**”Your Third Martial Sister keeps following me, asking how to cultivate the temperament of a noble lady.

She says she can never get used to wearing tightly wrapped clothes and prefers thinner fabrics.”**

**”Your Fifth Martial Sister is even more adorable.

She spends her entire day pestering me about ways to achieve resurrection.

Yet, every time she leaves, she insists on inviting me to eat sugar-coated haws.”**

Bai Lian was momentarily speechless.
