Chapter 13 Part 2: The Qiongming Peak No Longer Has Any Pure Individuals (2)
Tong Yao often visited Qiongming Peak, which led to her growing close to Ling Xuan. They became “intimate friends” who
confided in each other, but Tong Yao had ulterior motives—she wanted to train Ling Xuan into a spy to monitor Xiao Jinse and the
others.
Tong Yao occasionally shared her knowledge with Ling Xuan, particularly from The Duxian Sect’s Guide to Practice and Life. Her
intelligence in these matters was at the forefront of the Duxian Sect, and Ling Xuan, unknowingly, regarded her as a reliable older
sister.
But everything changed half a month ago.
Ling Xuan, who had spent most of her time cultivating martial arts with Elder Martial Sister Jade Rabbit, was dragged away by
Tong Yao to take a bath. The cunning Tong Yao, who was full of deceit, intended to inquire about Su Youwei’s activities in Xiwu
City. Instead, she learned that Ling Xuan and Bai Lian had grown so close that they could bathe together.
This revelation hit Tong Yao like a thunderbolt.
She looked at her empty hands, a solemn expression crossing her face. She then asked Ling Xuan, “Do you like Elder Martial
Sister Bai Lian?”
“Ah… this…” Ling Xuan stammered.
“It seems that you really like her,” Tong Yao pressed.
“I… umm…”
Tong Yao gently patted Ling Xuan’s head and explained the kind of person Bai Lian was drawn to. “You are still young, there are
too many complexities here. It’s hard for you to understand, so…”
She coughed and swallowed the words she wanted to say. Instead, she advised Ling Xuan, “Your goal should be to become a
young lady like your fourth elder martial sister.”
“You can’t always cling to Elder Martial Sister Bai Lian. Just because you’re young doesn’t mean you can act without
consequences. Doing so will only make Elder Martial Sister Bai Lian resentful.”
Ling Xuan nodded, taking in the advice.
She always wanted to be close to Elder Martial Sister Bai Lian but never fully understood the feeling. Now, thanks to Elder Martial
Sister Tong, she had learned a new perspective.
“Ah, so this is what adults mean by love,” she thought.
Encouraged by Tong Yao, Ling Xuan decided to dedicate herself to becoming “the closest Daoist companion to Elder Martial
Sister Bai Lian.” However, she didn’t openly express this thought.
Witnessing this, Tong Yao felt a deep sense of satisfaction. It was magnificent, for it meant she had just overcome yet another
obstacle. In a few years, when Ling Xuan realized her true feelings, it would be too late to reverse things.
Bai Lian, however, had a different reaction. She clenched her teeth as she finally realized why Tong Yao had recently become so
quiet. At first, she thought Tong Yao had matured after some family turmoil. But now, it seemed she had simply changed her
approach and was now working against Bai Lian’s “enemies.”
“Good. Really good!” Bai Lian thought bitterly.
After reassuring the timid fifth Martial Sister, Bai Lian helped her refine the Taiyin water and then escorted her back to her room. In
just a few days, the fifth Martial Sister would be able to master the Golden Core Stage cultivator’s powerful body, speeding up her
martial arts practice by a hundredfold.
The Immortal World’s divine treasures were truly remarkable. Bai Lian proudly believed that her fifth Martial Sister had the
potential to become an Immortal Emperor.
The other Martial Sisters would also progress steadily. As for Yan Yue, there was a high probability that she would face her
Guafeng Disaster.
But while Bai Lian was content, things were not so joyful elsewhere.
After leaving the fifth Martial Sister’s room, Bai Lian encountered Martial Sister Tong Yao on the back mountain.
“Greetings, Elder Martial Sister Bai Lian!” Tong Yao greeted her, excited.
She was touched that after finishing with Ling Xuan, Bai Lian’s first thought had been of her. Could this mean she was already
ahead in the competition for Bai Lian’s favor?
Tong Yao blushed, clenching her legs together, and quickly averted her gaze.
Bai Lian, however, was in no mood for pleasantries. Her fist clenched as she prepared to confront Tong Yao for deceiving the
innocent fifth Martial Sister.
As soon as Bai Lian made her intentions clear, Tong Yao panicked. She immediately turned around, protecting her head with her
hands, exposing only her lower backside.
“Elder Martial Sister Bai Lian, I was wrong. Please be gentle… gentle…” she pleaded.
Humph! Bai Lian thought. She wasn’t going to let this slide.
With a sharp slap, Bai Lian struck Tong Yao’s backside.
Pa pa pa…
“I’m teaching you a lesson on behalf of Master Qin!” Bai Lian said, “For spreading rumors about me and inciting the fifth Martial
Sister.”
Tong Yao cried out, but as Bai Lian continued the punishment, she began to wonder if there was some hidden pleasure in this.
Was Tong Yao a masochist?
Bai Lian was startled. She stopped the punishment, realizing that she couldn’t let Tong Yao get her way. She immediately
changed tactics, choosing to imprison her instead.
“Elder Martial Sister Bai Lian!” Tong Yao shouted.
Bang. Bai Lian slammed the door shut and sat down in front of it to prevent Tong Yao from escaping.
Despite her own cultivation progressing, Martial Sister Tong Yao was still no match for Bai Lian. Even if a thousand of her were to
attack together, Bai Lian would defeat them effortlessly.
Tong Yao sat on the ground, feeling forlorn. She regretted being so loud earlier.
Meanwhile, An Lan was not idle. She punched and shattered the twisted-neck tree again.
“Wonderful!” she muttered through gritted teeth.
She had always seen the fifth disciple as a child but forgot how mature children were these days. The fifth disciple had even
dared to poke Bai Lian’s chest and entertain thoughts of becoming Dao companions with her.
“Stop!” An Lan cursed. “You are martial sisters, not lovers!”
She was seething, unable to let things continue this way. If it did, there would be no normal person left on Qiongming Peak. Was
this the Qiongming Peak or the Bai Lian Peak?
She couldn’t believe how far things had gone. The older disciples had corrupted the younger ones.
For a brief moment, An Lan entertained the idea of brainwashing her disciples, making them forget any feelings toward Bai Lian.
But in the end, she decided against it.
That wasn’t her style.
She was the Immortal Heavenly Lord, and she didn’t fear such trivial matters.
“Wake up!” An Lan commanded, rousing Ling Xuan from her sleep. It was the perfect time to help Ling Xuan transform the Taiyin
water into her own strength.
“Master,” Ling Xuan mumbled groggily.
Without a word, An Lan brought her before the jade rabbit. “You two fight. Become stronger.”
Ling Xuan barely muttered an apology before charging toward the jade rabbit.
The jade rabbit was caught off guard and easily defeated by Ling Xuan. It ran away with its tail between its legs.
An Lan nodded in approval. “Very good.”
This was the Qiongming Peak she wanted to see. Why were her disciples only concerned with affection for Bai Lian? Couldn’t
they mature like her?
In the days that followed, Bai Lian resumed her night classes. Her Tao Halo had grown below her chest, but this time, she didn’t
expose her belly or wear a crop top.
She only removed her shoes and socks, as they interfered with her Tao Halo’s coverage. Even so, it didn’t matter. She was here
to teach, not to seduce her Martial Sisters.
Her actions caused Xiao Jinse and the others to nod in agreement.
The only one dissatisfied was An Lan, lurking outside the window to audit the class.
“Shameless!” An Lan muttered under her breath.
Meanwhile, in the Lingxu sect, amidst blooming purple flowers, Si Yunshang, dressed in lotus clothes, sat gracefully. But her
usually calm demeanor was replaced by worry.
Recently, the Lingxu sect leader had begun associating with people from the Pavilion of Mountain and Sea.
Although the Lingxu sect had been part of the demonic faction, it had rarely interacted with other demon sects, ensuring its
survival. But now, with this new development, Si Yunshang feared the sect’s destruction.
Her thoughts were interrupted when a messenger hurried into the valley.
“Miss Si, something terrible has happened. The… the old sect leader has returned to life!”
Si Yunshang was taken aback. “Revived?”
