Chapter 3: Could It Be That Bai Lian Is the Witch Queen? (1)
The Immortal World is located at the center of all the small worlds and realms. It is often referred to as the Upper Realm.
Exactly.
Compared to any other small world dwelling in the Lower Realm, the Immortal World is far grander and more majestic.
Especially in the Nine Heavens of the Immortal World, where a constant flow of Primordial Breath emanates. Even Immortal Emperors compete to establish their own paradises for cultivation here.
But the universe is vast, filled with countless small worlds.
No masterpiece is superior to the beauty that arises when countless small worlds come together.
Every once in a while, immortals from the Immortal World actively seek ways to reincarnate and start anew in these lower worlds.
Give up what you have now, so you can reach for an even more attractive future!
With this belief in mind, Jiang Jing arrived in the East Divine Land.
A Demigod’s Past
Before coming to this small world, Jiang Jing was a cultivator from the Rainbow Realm.
But he was no ordinary cultivator.
He was a Demigod.
He was a renowned Immortal Beast Master.
He was an elder of several top immortal sects in Rainbow Realm.
However, his good fortune did not last.
The ambitious Xianyuan Emperor established the Heavenly Court.
With the power of heaven, the Heavenly Court administered rewards and punishments to all.
Xianyuan Emperor gathered a few Immortal Emperors of nearly equal strength, forming an alliance to expand the Heavenly Court’s rule.
The war lasted for decades.
Jiang Jing’s grudge against Yue Wuyang was forged during this very war.
The Xianyuan Emperor wanted Jiang Jing to serve as a beast caretaker to raise his demonic mounts.
But how could Jiang Jing agree?
He had already stepped halfway into the realm of Immortal Emperor. He was a Demigod! How could a Demigod be reduced to raising demon beasts for someone else?
Thus, Jiang Jing resisted.
He killed many from the Heavenly Court, but in the end, the Rainbow Realm’s overall strength was far weaker than that of the alliance of Immortal Emperors.
The Arrival of the Madman
Just when Jiang Jing thought all was lost, something unexpected happened.
Green Moon Sword Venerable passed by Rainbow Realm by sheer accident.
Hearing the sounds of battle, he laughed loudly.
“Oh? A fight?”
He was very good at stopping quarrels.
So, he swung his sword.
And just like that, both the Rainbow Immortal Sect and the Witch Sect, who had been fighting fiercely, were slashed into fragments.
The sky turned red with blood.
Nobody survived.
With this, there were no more disputes, no more curses—
Just flesh and blood, mashed together, never to be separated again.
When Xianyuan Emperor received word of the massacre, he immediately summoned a group to fight Green Moon Sword Venerable.
But in the end, they were all defeated.
One against four, Green Moon Sword Venerable’s attacks became increasingly ferocious.
Xianyuan Emperor and his allies had no choice but to retreat from Rainbow Realm.
Their alliance was fragile to begin with. Who knew if one of them would stab the other in the back while fighting Green Moon Sword Venerable?
Jiang Jing thought the disaster had finally passed.
But he had underestimated the madness of Green Moon Sword Venerable.
The battle-hungry man had not yet had his fill of bloodshed.
So, he turned around—
And slaughtered several major sects in Rainbow Realm.
Escape and Rebirth
Jiang Jing was fortunate.
He narrowly escaped death at the hands of Green Moon Sword Venerable.
At the last moment, his Beast God Bone, an artifact he used to control demon beasts, saved him.
With its power, he merged into the bone, breaking free from the collapsing realm.
He survived.
But his cultivation base was nearly obliterated.
This experience taught Jiang Jing a cruel lesson:
If you are not an Immortal Emperor, you are nothing but an ant.
His thirst for power grew stronger.
Thus, when his Beast God Bone sensed a Godly Beast in the direction of East Divine Land, he made a choice.
He abandoned his immortal foundation and started anew in this land.
Nearly a thousand years have passed since his rebirth.
But because he spent most of his time in deep sleep, recovering from spiritual wounds, he has only truly cultivated for about two hundred years.
A Fateful Discovery
Over the past two centuries, Jiang Jing has traveled across the East Divine Land.
Though he has yet to find the Godly Beast, he is absolutely certain—
His Beast God Bone was not mistaken.
And the strongest evidence lies in the Duxian Sect.
Just last year—
A Qing Luan Divine Bird rose from Duxian Sect and flew into the red sun.
In September, Bai Lian rode a Green Dragon across Yaoxia Bay.
A Green Dragon.
A Qing Luan.
Both are Godly Beasts—even in the Immortal World, they are rarely seen.
Yet, they both appeared in East Divine Land.
If there was nothing extraordinary about this place, Jiang Jing would have swallowed himself on the spot.
Nevertheless, despite Bai Lian’s rising reputation, Jiang Jing did not dare recklessly intrude upon the Duxian Sect.
He had time.
He had a long lifespan.
He could afford to wait.
The Unexpected Name
Then something unexpected happened.
One day, while exploring a relic beneath the boundless sea, he received news from Heluo Country.
At first, he did not take it seriously.
Until—
A familiar name pierced his ears:
Yue Wuyang.
He was so shocked that he did not speak for half a day.
That name was too familiar to him!
After all, Yue Wuyang was a disciple of Xianyuan Emperor.
She had participated in the Rainbow Realm invasion.
She was an arrogant woman.
She walked barefoot, her presence exuding the power of a giant bear.
Even though she never openly mentioned Xianyuan Emperor’s name, Jiang Jing was certain—
It was the same Yue Wuyang he had known.
For a moment, he felt panic.
The Xianyuan Emperor never acted without purpose.
Why would he send Yue Wuyang here?
Was she coming to kill him?
But soon, Jiang Jing calmed down.
His assumption was unreasonable…
Or was it?
