Chapter 966 Three Cloaks

Borrow the sword?

Amemiya Haruhiteru glanced at the black and gold long sword beside him and asked puzzlingly:

“You want to borrow it? What for?”

Wu Xiangnan remained silent for a moment before answering truthfully: “To open the door, to slay a god.”

Hearing this answer, Amemiya Haruhiteru and Yuzurina exchanged glances, both seeing confusion in each other’s eyes.

“I know this request might be presumptuous, but we really need it. Once everything is over, we will definitely return it.” Wu Xiangnan’s expression was unprecedentedly serious, “I swear on the honor of Team Blue Rain.”

“It’s not that we’re unwilling to lend it, but even if I lend it to you, you won’t be able to use it.”

Yuzurina’s form floated out from the blade and slowly spoke, “In this world, only two people who have both the sword spirit’s and the sword’s approval can wield this blade…”

Wu Xiangnan was slightly stunned, “Isn’t it true that anyone with royal blood can use the Magatsuhi sword?”

Those who possess royal blood have the right to use the power of Magatsuhi swords without the sword spirit’s approval, and royal blood itself is a bloodline derived from the origin. Now that Wu Xiangnan possesses the sun origin, he naturally has the purest royal blood.

Theoretically, he should be able to use the power of any Magatsuhi sword.

“This sword is different from ordinary Magatsuhi swords.” Yuzurina shook her head and took half a step back, “If you don’t believe me, you can try to see if you can draw it from its scabbard.”

Wu Xiangnan frowned slightly, and after hesitating for a moment, he still stepped forward and gripped the black and gold sword handle.

He activated the sun origin within his body, his pupils reflecting two black suns, using all his strength to try to draw the sword from its scabbard!

However, no matter how hard he tried, the sword remained fixed in its scabbard, not moving an inch.

After trying for more than ten seconds, Wu Xiangnan helplessly released the sword handle and let out a long sigh…

He really couldn’t draw this sword.

The god-level Magatsuhi sword formed by the fusion of nine swords was no longer a weak existence that could be forcibly activated with just origin power. Without simultaneously gaining the approval of both the sword spirit and the sword body, even the highest god couldn’t draw it from its scabbard by even half an inch.

He and Wang Mian exchanged glances, both wearing grave expressions.

In their plan, this Magatsuhi sword was a crucial component. Only with this sword could they open the gateway to Takamagahara, and similarly, only by wielding this sword would Wu Xiangnan’s own strength be elevated to god-level, greatly increasing their chances of killing Susanoo.

Without the power of this sword, they couldn’t even enter Takamagahara.

“You just said there are only two people who can use this sword?” Wang Mian pondered for a moment and asked, “If I’m not mistaken, one of them should be your brother, but who’s the other one?”

Yuzurina pressed her lips together, “The other one…”

Before she could finish speaking, the mist outside the light halo began to churn again!

All four turned to look, and saw a figure in the distant street, passing through the mist, approaching this place.

It was a young man wearing a deep red cloak, with a snow-white sword hanging at his waist and holding a cushion in one hand. The edges of his cloak intertwined with the surrounding night, as he walked up the mountain like a ghost.

When Yuzurina saw his face clearly, her eyes immediately lit up, curving into crescents with joy.

“The other one… is him.”

“Lin Qiye?”

Wu Xiangnan and Wang Mian exclaimed in surprise.

Lin Qiye passed through the pale golden light halo around the sword body, his gaze falling on the four people, slightly startled.

“Wang Mian? Deputy Commander Wu? Why are you here?”

Wu Xiangnan and Wang Mian exchanged smiles, “We came to borrow the sword.”

Lin Qiye followed their gaze to Yuzurina floating beside the sword body, his expression becoming complicated.

“Brother Seven!” Yuzurina quickly ran forward, pouncing toward Lin Qiye’s embrace, but then, as if remembering something, her ethereal body stopped just before touching him.

She looked up, her bright eyes blinking, filled with joy as she gazed at him.

“Little Yuzurina.” Lin Qiye reached out to pat Yuzurina’s head, but his hand silently passed through her body.

Lin Qiye’s smile froze, a flash of pain crossing his eyes, but in the next moment, he smiled warmly as if nothing had happened.

“Thank you for leaving me the club, I really like it.”

Lin Qiye didn’t mention her becoming a sword spirit.

Yuzurina’s smile grew even brighter, she opened her mouth as if having many things to say, but seeing Wu Xiangnan and Wang Mian standing nearby, she held back for now.

“Brother Seven, they’re here to see you about something.”

Lin Qiye nodded and turned to look at the two, asking puzzledly, “What do you need to borrow the sword for?”

“We need it to open the gates of Takamagahara.” Wang Mian paused, “And then…”

“Kill Susanoo.” Wu Xiangnan said calmly.

“Kill him?” Lin Qiye was stunned, “But you’re not at god-level, and you don’t have the power of laws…”

“I already have the power of laws.”

Wu Xiangnan briefly explained about the sun law, and Lin Qiye’s eyes narrowed, flickering with light, as if contemplating something.

“Seven, we just need you to use it to help us open the gates of Takamagahara.” Wu Xiangnan earnestly said, “Leave the rest to us.”

“No.” Lin Qiye shook his head, as if having made some decision, “I’m coming too.”

“You’re coming too?” Wang Mian was startled, “What for? You shouldn’t have any grudge against Susanoo, right?”

“…I do.”

A fierce killing intent flashed in Lin Qiye’s eyes, “He and I have a mortal feud.”

“But your strength isn’t enough. I’m already at humanity’s ceiling, and Xiangnan can resurrect and has the power of laws… it’s too risky for you to go.”

“I have my own methods.”

Lin Qiye glanced at the cushion in his hand and walked to the black and gold sword.

He reached out and gently gripped the sword handle, smiling at Yuzurina beside him, “Little Yuzurina, let me borrow your power.”

“Okay.” Yuzurina nodded firmly.

Lin Qiye’s hand gripping the sword handle suddenly exerted force!

Clang–!!

With a light ring, the black and gold sword was drawn from its scabbard, the deep red cloak fluttering in the wind.

Lin Qiye held the sword and walked to Wang Mian and Wu Xiangnan’s front, as if remembering something, a brilliant summoning magic circle bloomed before him.

The next moment, a silver long sword fell into his hand, which he extended toward Wu Xiangnan.

“Deputy Commander, I’ll lend you this sword.”

“This is…” Wu Xiangnan reached out to take the sword, confusion appearing in his eyes.

“Ame-no-Murakumo-no-Tsurugi, Takamagahara’s supreme divine weapon of slaughter.” Lin Qiye said with a smile.

Wu Xiangnan drew in a sharp breath.

“Now we have both Takamagahara’s supreme divine weapon and the Kunitsukami’s supreme divine weapon in our hands.” Lin Qiye calmly said, “Along with you at humanity’s ceiling, and the cushion in my possession…

Slaying a god might not be impossible.”

Wang Mian was stunned for a while, looking at Wu Xiangnan, then at Lin Qiye, and smiled slightly.

“Team Blue Rain, Team Mask, Team Nightfall… three special teams fighting together, this is indeed a first.

Since that’s the case, let us represent the Nightwatchers of Great Xia and turn Takamagahara upside down.”

He raised his head, gazing at the void above.

In the chaotic mist, atop the shattered mountain,

Light blue, dark gray, and deep red – three cloaks danced wildly in the wind, emanating fierce killing intent!
