Chapter 1014: The Infiltrated Agent

“These seven days will be my last lesson to you as your instructor.”

“I hope you’ve gained something from it.”

After saying his final words, Lin Qiye turned and left.

The quiet cabin suddenly became noisy, with new recruits discussing among themselves, their eyes filled with worry and confusion.

“Being eliminated means leaving… that’s too harsh!”

“We’ve worked so hard, who would willingly give up now?”

“I left my hometown to come to Beijing and become a Night Watchman, I won’t give up like this!”

“This is truly devil’s training, pushing us to our deaths!”

“Do you think Instructor Lin is lying to us?”

“…”

Soon, several instructors walked out of the cabin, distributing winter clothes, dry food, drinking water, and maps to each of them.

Looking at the route drawn on the map, they couldn’t help but gasp!

“Snow plains, frozen lakes, cliffs, ravines… this route is brutal!” Ding Chongfeng, who had military experience, turned pale seeing the route. “Can this really be completed in six days?”

“I don’t know,” Fang Mo sighed, “but we have no choice but to move forward.”

Lu Baoyou sat alone to the side, took the map without looking at it, and tucked it directly into the winter coat’s lining, then closed his eyes to rest.

…

When Lin Qiye returned to the instructors’ cabin, Yuan Gang’s lips curved into a bitter smile.

“Qiye, how do you plan to end this?”

“I already have an idea,” Lin Qiye smiled slightly, “we just need the officials to cooperate…”

After Lin Qiye briefly explained his plan, Yuan Gang remained silent for a moment before nodding, “No problem, but are you sure this will be effective?”

“Seven days is too short to significantly improve physical strength or enhance Forbidden Domains, so we can only work on their mentality…”

Lin Qiye turned his head to look in the direction of the recruits’ cabin, “Whether it works or not depends on their own insight.”

…

Western Border of Da Xia.

Pamir Plateau.

On the barren plateau, a figure mysteriously condensed from the ground like liquid.

It was a burly man nearly two meters tall, wearing a dark yellow classical Western-style suit, with muscles bulging like small mountains on his arms. In his narrow and deeply sunken eye sockets, a pair of profound eyes calmly looked behind him.

Not far from him was a surging wall of mist.

This was the westernmost point of Da Xia, the boundary separating Da Xia’s territory from the outside world.

“Finally made it in…” the burly man slowly uttered in English.

He turned around, looked at the snow-covered plateau before him, remained silent for a moment, then started walking forward.

He hadn’t walked far when he seemed to discover something and slowly stopped.

His eyes narrowed into a dangerous arc.

Rumble—!

The ground beneath his feet suddenly began to shake violently, and a “Klein”-level energy wave was released from his body without restraint!

“No need to be nervous,” a voice came from afar, also in English but sounding somewhat awkward, with a hint of Indian accent, “If we make too much noise, it wouldn’t be good to attract the Da Xia God.”

The burly man in the yellow suit turned toward the direction of the voice.

At some point, a figure in black had appeared behind him like a ghost, with pale, pupilless eyes staring directly at the burly man, an eerie bloodthirst emanating from within.

The burly man frowned as he studied him for a moment, seemingly trying to identify something.

“Are you the proxy sent by the Indian gods?” the burly man frowned, “How did you cross the Da Xia border without being detected?”

“Is it that difficult?” the man in black spoke calmly, “Da Xia’s current surveillance of the mist border only works on gods, like a fishing net designed to catch big fish. Proxies like us who haven’t reached godhood are just small fry, we can slip in with a few tricks.

Isn’t that why your Olympus sent you, the Earth God’s proxy, to infiltrate and probe the Da Xia God’s situation?”

The burly man hadn’t expected him to see through his identity so easily, his frown deepening.

“We are both divine proxies cultivated by our respective divine nations, sent to gather intelligence, so our goals are the same.” The man in black spoke calmly, extending his hand proactively, “We can work together in gathering intelligence.

You can call me Singh, proxy of the demon god Asura.”

The burly man sneered, “Work with you Indians? I’m not interested.”

He turned to walk away.

Singh’s brow furrowed slightly as he said coldly, “Don’t forget, now your Olympus and our Temple of Heaven are allies.”

“Allies? That’s just pretty words.” The burly man sneered, “If we were truly allies, we wouldn’t be standing here like this now.”

Singh’s eyes turned cold.

He understood what the burly man meant.

After the Da Xia Heavenly Court emerged, they took an extremely domineering stance, destroying Takamagahara and intimidating many overseas divine nations, but then remained completely silent afterward.

This left the overseas divine nations unable to discern what the Da Xia God wanted to do, or rather… what they were plotting.

Asgard of the Norse received the Heavenly Emperor’s challenge letter, which could be considered a declaration of war against the Norse gods, but why specifically set the date ten days later? Did this mean that during these ten days, the Da Xia God was in a weakened state?

To say that the Da Xia God emerged unscathed after destroying Takamagahara, most other divine nations wouldn’t believe it.

If the Da Xia God truly suffered damage, now would be the best opportunity to launch a sneak attack, so they secretly sent their respective proxies to infiltrate Da Xia territory, gather information, and look for opportunities…

Except for Asgard, who was worried about receiving the Heavenly Emperor’s challenge letter, other divine nations basically wanted to probe Da Xia’s true situation, because if they could be the first to successfully launch a sneak attack on Da Xia, they would monopolize many benefits and resources.

The presence of Singh and the burly man here was itself a manifestation of the four major divine nations’ hidden agendas.

They all wanted to secretly gain the upper hand!

“Well, since you’re unwilling to cooperate, I’ll go find the Asgardians.” Singh shook his head and turned to leave.

Hearing these words, the burly man was stunned.

“Asgard sent proxies too? Aren’t they preparing for war?”

“Don’t you know the suspicious nature of that God of Mischief? He wouldn’t have overlooked the possibility that Da Xia was bluffing, even if Odin didn’t give the order, he would take measures himself.” Singh calmly spoke, his pale eyeballs looking toward another direction of the plateau,

“My eyes tell me… he sent a woman and a man into Da Xia.”
