Chapter 962 Solar Origin

On the constantly collapsing ground, an electric scooter was slowly moving along the broken street.

Lu Wuwei had already twisted the handlebar to its limit, but compared to the speed at which the Yata Mirror was shattering, it was still far too slow. Dust and debris instantly engulfed his figure.

Void cracks spread around him, seemingly about to swallow him at any moment.

Lu Wuwei calmly looked back at the collapsing ground and sky, silently slid down the windshield of his helmet, pressed a small yellow duck on top of his head, and began to hover unsteadily.

Instead of choosing to leave through the gap in the Yata Mirror, he turned around and headed towards the depths of the shattered mirror, driving along the edge of the broken world against the shower of void fragments.

Of the two orders from Left Qing, he had only completed one, there was still one person… he hadn’t found yet.

Before completing the order, nothing, not even heaven falling and earth shattering, could stop him.

This was Lu Wuwei’s commitment to delivery.

…

The Ruins.

Clang–!

A flash of sharp blade light passed by, and Wu Xiangnan’s corpse fell to the ground again, those hollow eyes staring at the sky, devoid of any life.

Moments later, his body quickly reassembled, violent coughing sounds arose, and he stumbled to his feet, breathing heavily.

“How many times has it been?”

“Thirty-two times.”

The white-haired Wang Mian, holding [Yi Yuan], looked at him with a complex expression, “I’ve killed you thirty-two times in a row now. Even if my blade is fast, the shadow and despair brought by death are real. Don’t you want to rest?”

Wu Xiangnan raised his head, looked at the ruins collapsing at an alarming speed in the distance, and shook his head.

“There’s no time left. I must quickly merge with this origin. I can feel that my compatibility with it is approaching perfection… just one more time, and we can achieve the expected effect.”

Wang Mian remained silent for a moment, then sighed helplessly, “I understand, let’s do it one more time.”

Wu Xiangnan walked to the origin, now only the size of a ping-pong ball, took a deep breath, and once again resolutely raised his hand to touch it.

After thirty-two consecutive absorptions and purifications, this origin had been almost completely absorbed by Wu Xiangnan, and the impurities expelled through death had formed a black pool, flowing in the depression in front of the temple.

As Wu Xiangnan reached out, the last trace of origin surged into his body, his pupils contracted, and in the next moment, a blade light precisely flashed across his neck.

The thirty-third death.

Moments later, under Wang Mian’s watch, Wu Xiangnan shakily stood up from the ground, his eyes bright as stars.

After this rebirth, Wang Mian clearly felt that Wu Xiangnan’s aura seemed different from before.

He began to faintly emit a sense of solitary pride and sharpness. Though very weak, under this aura, he gave off the feeling of a king who dominated certain powers, powerful and mysterious.

Wu Xiangnan made a slight sound of surprise, looked down at his palm, and a hint of joy appeared in his eyes.

“Did it succeed?” Wang Mian asked.

“Yes.” Wu Xiangnan nodded, “I’ve pushed the merger between the origin and myself to the final critical point. Just one more rebirth, and I can briefly nurture a thread of law…”

“What type of law?”

“The Law of the Sun,” Wu Xiangnan said calmly. “This origin fell from Amaterasu, it’s a solar origin, correspondingly, it can only nurture the Law of the Sun.

Whatever law it is doesn’t really matter much to me. Without reaching the realm of divinity myself, I can’t utilize this law’s power. Its only purpose is to serve as a weapon to kill gods.”

Wang Mian nodded slightly.

It seemed this law indeed didn’t suit him. As the proxy of the Time God, his own divine void was related to time. If he rashly introduced the Law of the Sun into his body, it would be pure suicide – he probably wouldn’t even live three months.

The collapsing void cracks rapidly spread through the ruins, Wang Mian looked into the distance, his brow becoming grave:

“Where do we go next?”

“The Yata Mirror is about to be destroyed, that thing should be emerging soon… Only by borrowing it do we have a chance of entering Takamagahara.”

Wu Xiangnan took off his blood-soaked clothes and took out a neatly folded light blue cloak from his backpack, solemnly and reverently putting it on.

Seeing this, Wang Mian’s expression became complex, “The [Blue Rain] team uniform, haven’t seen it in a long time… Looks like you really aren’t turning back.”

“From the moment I first absorbed this origin, I had no path of return,” Wu Xiangnan’s hand gently rubbed the light blue cloak as he spoke calmly,

“Even hundreds of kilometers away from Great Xia, I will let the glory of [Blue Rain] bloom one last time here.”

As the words fell,

One light blue, one deep gray, the two figures quickly disappeared into the horizon along the shattered sky.

…

Misty Japan.

A stream of clouds swiftly passed over the ruins of the city, rushing towards a certain direction.

“Mr. Lu is a human ceiling-level senior, he won’t easily get into trouble,” Lin Qiye smiled after hearing the others’ descriptions.

Baili Pangpang nodded slightly, his gaze falling on the huge black and gold dome above that covered the entire Japanese sky, and couldn’t help asking:

“What is that? It wasn’t there when we came out of the ‘Human Circle’ earlier, was it?”

“That’s the blade of a divine weapon,” Lin Qiye explained while piloting the cloud, flying towards directly below the blade. “Years ago, the Kunitsukami forged nine Magatsukami blades, precisely for the day when the nine blades would unite to form a divine-level Magatsukami blade.

Legend has it that the united Magatsukami blade is a divine weapon of the same level as the Kusanagi sword, capable of cleaving open Takamagahara, the realm of gods. It was also the Kunitsukami’s final trump card against the Amatsukami…”

Halfway through his words, Lin Qiye suddenly froze.

“Cleave open Takamagahara… cleave open Takamagahara…” He seemed to realize something, his eyes gradually brightening as he muttered these words.

The others looked at each other and asked puzzled: “What’s wrong?”

“I know why the elderly Wang Mian had to send Pangpang back fifty years to guard the gap in the ‘Human Circle’…” All the clues connected in Lin Qiye’s mind, and understanding appeared on his face,

“His purpose wasn’t just to save the tens of millions of people living in the ‘Human Circle’, but more importantly, to preserve the nine Magatsukami blades!”
