Chapter 961 Destruction of the Human Circle

The Sea.

The pixel cruise ship bobbed up and down on the blood-colored ocean. At this moment, only a few people remained conscious on board.

Ji Nian stood at the bow of the cruise ship, glanced down at the time, and slightly furrowed her brows.

Just then, a dazzling beam of light shot up into the sky from the distance. Terrifying energy waves swept across the sea, stirring up one massive wave after another.

Ji Nian stood at the swaying bow, her eyes gradually brightening.

“That is…”

As the light pillar rose, in the sky above, a massive black and gold blade began spreading like a tide. A cursed blade large enough to cover the entire Yata Mirror obscured this false sky and sun.

The blade spread, blocking all sunlight, like a pitch-black night enveloping the world, suspended above the City of Ultimate Evil.

“Did it get dark?” The Knight looked up at this scene, confusion appearing in his eyes.

“No,” Ji Nian shook her head and said with a smile, “This ‘Human Circle’ is about to be destroyed…”

Suddenly, a golden light spot appeared on the huge black blade in the sky, like a blazing sun carved beneath the night sky, expanding at an alarming speed!

Endless golden threads shot out from the light spot, as if possessing their own consciousness, flying towards the “Human Circle”. From afar, it looked like a brilliant golden waterfall flowing from the blazing sun into the mortal world, surging through the broken city.

These threads precisely found the residents kneeling on the ground, wrapped around them, and then dragged them up towards the blade world in the sky.

This was the destruction of the City of Ultimate Evil, and also their salvation.

Watching those golden threads rapidly enveloping the residents and flying up to the blade, Ji Nian’s lips curved slightly upward as she turned to the Knight and said:

“Let’s begin.”

“Yes!”

Whoosh–!!

With a soft sound, above the 271 pixel platforms, the suspended Ame-no-Murakumo sword suddenly dropped, precisely passing through the tiny hole in the center of the platform, falling straight towards the depths of the sea!

Each time this sword passed through a deep-sea platform, pixel explosives would detonate precisely, giving it massive kinetic energy, constantly accelerating it!

With a series of explosions, the Ame-no-Murakumo sword’s falling speed increased at an alarming rate. Gradually, it transformed into a silver illusion, swiftly cutting through the water, submerging into the deepest part of the ocean.

On the turbulent sea surface, Ji Nian looked down at the water below, her eyes slightly narrowing.

Boom–!!

Tens of seconds later, a muffled explosion came from the deep sea bottom.

A few seconds later, the entire sea area’s water began to boil violently, churning intensely. The sound of mirror surfaces breaking continuously spread from the sea. The Yata Mirror, pierced by the Ame-no-Murakumo sword, began to collapse rapidly!

This sea area, along with the distant land, began to collapse. Cracks in the void spread to almost every corner of the world.

With the appearance of these cracks, wailing and painful screams emerged. Countless souls flew out from the deep sea, passing over the huge pixel cruise ship on the surface, rushing towards the sky.

These were the billions of souls imprisoned within the Yata Mirror.

Ji Nian stood at the bow of the cruise ship, calmly watching these seemingly endless souls ascending to heaven. Under the churning waters, her wet coat tails fluttered slightly.

Among these souls, a large portion diverged, flowing and circling around this pixel giant ship, making whooshing wind sounds, before flying up to the sky and finally dissipating without a trace.

“Chairman, this is…” The Knight looked around, speaking in confusion.

“They’re expressing gratitude,” she stood among the souls filling the sky, gently closing her eyes, as if carefully listening to their whispers. “Hundreds of years of torture and suffering made them desperately yearn for death and reincarnation. By destroying the Yata Mirror, we granted their souls salvation…”

The churning of the water became more violent, with huge waves seemingly about to crush this pixel cruise ship. Ji Nian slowly opened her eyes and looked at this gradually collapsing world.

“We should go.”

As her words fell, at the bottom of this huge pixel cruise ship, numerous pixel fragments suddenly extended out, rapidly surrounding it to form a sphere, completely enveloping it.

Then, this pixel giant sphere actively sank into the deep sea, disappearing among the overwhelming waves.

…

Osaka.

The black sun suspended in the sky gradually dimmed.

Golden threads surged through the ruins, sweeping up those figures kneeling on the ground, as well as the Black Kill Organization members busy in various corners of the streets, all being pulled up into the sky.

Without the obstruction of the Black Sun Ritual, the corpse beasts roared as they charged into the magic array like surging black waves, but the next moment, the ground beneath their feet shattered and collapsed, taking them all with it into oblivion, leaving no trace behind.

The members of [Nightfall] team gathered beneath the iron throne, watching this apocalyptic scene before them with complex emotions in their eyes.

“This ‘Human Circle’ has finally perished…” Bai Li Pang Pang couldn’t help but sigh, “Back in the day, I spent quite some time traveling here.”

“Now’s not the time for nostalgia,” Shen Qing Zhu looked at the threads falling from the sky, extending towards their waists. “What are these things?”

“Don’t know…”

An Qing Yu flew up to the iron throne and moved the immobile Lin Qi Ye from the cushion.

Lin Qi Ye slowly opened his eyes, waved his hand to disperse the iron throne below him, grabbed the cushion with one hand, and showed signs of fatigue on his face.

He looked up at the huge blade shadow in the sky and let out a long breath.

It seems Amemiya Haruhiko’s side was successful…

“Let’s go, [Sword of Ultimate Evil] has been activated, this ‘Human Circle’ will soon be destroyed along with the Yata Mirror, let’s go directly outside,” Lin Qi Ye waved his hand, and a cloud appeared beneath everyone, carrying them straight up towards the gap in the sky.

The somersaulting cloud flew over the shattered ground, and soon, they passed through that gap. With a blur before their eyes, they returned to a dim, foggy world.

Everyone stood on the cloud, looking down at huge mirror pieces falling from the sky into the sea. On the distant land, instead of the prosperous city district full of high-rise buildings everywhere, there was only a city ruins that had been abandoned for who knows how long.

That was the real Japan, standing in the mist.

“We’re back…” Bai Li Pang Pang sat down on the cloud, his whole body relaxing. “Seven’s cloud is still the most comfortable. If we had relied on that little yellow duck, we probably wouldn’t have made it out in time.”

“Yeah, that thing was too slow.”

“Still faster than Mr. Lu’s electric scooter though.”

“Hahaha…”

A brief silence.

“Holy shit!!” Everyone except Lin Qi Ye suddenly sat up on the cloud, looking at each other in shock, “Where’s Mr. Lu?!”
