Chapter 658: Heart Disaster

“[Furious Ghost] Level wanted criminal, Amegumi Haruhikari.” The Yellow Robe Oracle’s left eye locked onto Amegumi Haruhikari, and he spoke calmly, “A few years ago, if your master had fought me with this blade, perhaps he could have matched me, but you… are not worthy.”

Amegumi Haruhikari narrowed his eyes, a burning fighting spirit igniting within them. “How would you know without trying?”

As soon as he finished speaking, his figure flickered and vanished into the rain, followed by a flash of blade light slicing through the air at an extremely tricky angle toward the Yellow Robe Oracle.

The Yellow Robe Oracle’s eye locked onto a corner, and his hands raised the light wheels with lightning speed, colliding with the deep blue long knife as if he had foreseen the attack. He looked at Amegumi Haruhikari’s serious expression behind the blade and a mocking smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.

“Your swordsmanship and the use of [Rain Collapse] were taught to you by your master. He lost to me so many times back then that I have long since figured out your techniques. Your blade… cannot harm me.”

The light wheel deflected [Rain Collapse], and the Yellow Robe Oracle’s right fist surged toward Amegumi Haruhikari’s face. The blinding light wheel traced a golden arc in the air, momentarily darkening Amegumi Haruhikari’s vision.

He gritted his teeth, enduring the excruciating pain in his eyes, tracking the trajectory of the light wheel, and raised his long knife again in a flash, narrowly blocking the attack.

Bang—!!

The Yellow Robe Oracle seemed to have anticipated his move, sidestepping in the rain and delivering a heavy kick to Amegumi Haruhikari’s chest, producing a dull thud!

Amegumi Haruhikari was sent flying, barely stabilizing himself in mid-air before stumbling back to the ground.

He covered his eye, which had been burned by the light wheel, coughed a few times, and then raised his head again, squinting at the Yellow Robe Oracle who was slowly approaching.

The opponent seemed to understand his moves very well, even predicting from which angle he would strike in the rain and countering with the most effective response… Just as his master had said, the second Oracle was an extremely tricky character.

“The limit of the Hozu knife was determined when it was forged, but how much of its power can be unleashed depends on the wielder.” The Yellow Robe Oracle continued walking, “Your use of [Rain Collapse] has reached a certain level, but compared to your master’s mastery of [Rain Collapse], there is still a significant gap.

If your master could unleash 95% of [Rain Collapse] back then, you now can barely manage 60%, just scraping by.

If you want to defeat me, practice for another ten years.”

Barely scraping by…

Amegumi Haruhikari gripped the deep blue long knife tightly, watching the Yellow Robe Oracle approach through the rain. The terrifying pressure he exuded surpassed every Oracle he had encountered… and he knew very well that even now, this Oracle had not used his full strength.

If this continued, he would never be able to defeat him, and the opponent possessed the power to listen to thoughts over a wide area, making escape nearly impossible.

He had to take a gamble!

Amegumi Haruhikari took a deep breath, as if making a firm decision, a resolute glint appearing in his eyes.

He bit down hard on his tongue, the metallic taste flooding his mouth, and he suddenly sprayed a mist of blood onto the blade of [Rain Collapse]. The blood mist mixed with the rainwater, adhering to the surface of the blade, and the originally deep blue blade was stained with an eerie blood red.

He gripped the hilt, turned the blade, and forcefully plunged it into the puddle formed by the rain beneath him!

At the same time, in the reflection of the puddle, the white-clad, white-haired blade spirit drew out an identical [Rain Collapse] from its waist, inserting it into the puddle from the other side, the shadows of the two long knives overlapping.

Boom—!!

An invisible shockwave exploded outward from Amegumi Haruhikari, the blue-gray floral bathrobe rustling loudly. His black hair began to visibly turn white, and an indescribable aura emerged in his piercing eyes.

In the puddle, the reflection of the white-clad, white-haired blade spirit was gradually fading…

He and the blade spirit were merging into one.

At the moment the blade spirit’s reflection completely vanished, Amegumi Haruhikari forcefully pulled [Rain Collapse] out of the puddle, the blade vibrating with a soft chime. His hair, now white and drenched in rain, transformed his entire demeanor dramatically!

The white-haired Amegumi stood amidst the ruins, gripping the blood-stained deep blue long knife, his eyes radiating a chilling killing intent!

Yuri Rina stood behind Amegumi Haruhikari, staring blankly at his back, feeling that this moment’s Amegumi brother seemed somewhat unfamiliar…

“[Rain God]?” The Yellow Robe Oracle frowned slightly upon witnessing this scene. “You actually managed to merge with the blade spirit to this extent… It seems your potential is much higher than your master’s. However, this state must consume your lifespan, right?”

“Doesn’t matter.” The white-haired Amegumi replied calmly, “As long as I can live to witness the day this country is overthrown… that is enough.”

As he spoke, he slowly raised the blood-stained [Rain Collapse], and in an instant, a torrent of raindrops falling from the sky seemed to be strung together by an invisible thread, condensing into a nearly thickness-less rain line as it fell with the blade’s slash.

The Yellow Robe Oracle’s pupils slightly contracted, and he quickly dodged, but the speed of the rain line was too fast; half of his left hand was still grazed by the line.

Boom—!!!

Behind the spot where the Yellow Robe Oracle had been standing, towering buildings were sliced in half, the cuts smooth and clean. Under the night sky, they collapsed with a thunderous roar, the sound echoing like thunder.

This strike had directly severed a significant portion of Dotonbori.

At the same time, a thin line of blood appeared on the Yellow Robe Oracle’s left hand; half of his palm had been sliced open by the rain line, floating away, blood spraying out!

The Yellow Robe Oracle’s expression darkened slightly, just as he was about to make a move, Amegumi Haruhikari’s figure appeared before him out of nowhere, expressionless as he slashed with his knife. This time, the nearly thickness-less rain line sliced him in half from the center!

The rain line, after cutting through the Oracle, also reduced the remaining half of Dotonbori to ruins. The once bustling streets, bright as day, were now plunged into darkness, the explosive collapse causing Yuri Rina to cover her ears.

Amegumi Haruhikari stood quietly, looking at the Yellow Robe Oracle, now cut in two, with no trace of joy in his eyes.

He knew that “Heart Disaster” was not so easily killed.

As if to confirm his thoughts, a figure slowly walked to the end of the street. It was an office worker in his forties, seemingly ordinary, but the next moment, his body and appearance twisted rapidly, ultimately transforming into the form of the Yellow Robe Oracle!

The light circle in his left eye locked onto Amegumi Haruhikari, a smile appearing at the corner of his mouth.

“I guess your master must have told you what my ability is…” he began slowly, “The existence of the physical body ultimately has its limits, but the power of the mind is eternal… My ‘Heart Disaster’ can turn any human within a ten-kilometer radius who fears me deeply into my embodiment.

Every person who fears me can become me.

And I am an Oracle, a divine messenger feared and revered by humanity…

Here, within a ten-kilometer radius, there are a total of 3,224 people, of which 3,192 fear my existence from the depths of their hearts.

Congratulations, you have killed 1/3192 of me.”
