Chapter 632: Dominant CEO Lin Qiye
Black Phoenix Club.
As the lights began to glow, the neon signs of Dotonbori lit up one after another against the dim sky, casting a unique halo over the blue-purple-toned restaurant through the floor-to-ceiling windows of the second floor of the Black Phoenix Club.
Yuri Rina wiped each table in the restaurant until it was spotless. After a busy day, she sat down in a chair and let out a long sigh.
At that moment, a boy in a deep blue sequined jacket sat down across from her, quietly watching her.
Yuri Rina had only just met this new host today. She had to admit that even with her sharp, discerning, and professional eye, she couldn’t find any flaws in Amamiya Haruki’s appearance. In her mind, Amamiya Haruki’s hard skills as a host were only slightly inferior to Lin Qiye’s.
And that slight inferiority was because he lacked Lin Qiye’s subtle regal aura.
“Amamiya, do you need something?” Yuri Rina asked, puzzled, as Amamiya Haruki continued to stare at her.
Amamiya Haruki paused for a moment, shook his head, and said, “No, nothing. It’s just that you look a lot like… a friend of mine.”
“Friend?” Yuri Rina thought for a moment. “Is this friend also a girl?”
“No… he’s a man.”
“…How rude,” Yuri Rina muttered under her breath.
Clap, clap, clap!
Uncle Kyoji clapped his hands a few times and walked over to them with a smile, saying, “It’s time to open for business, new stars of the host world… Are you ready to welcome the cheers and enthusiasm of our esteemed female customers?”
Lin Qiye raised an eyebrow, seemingly confused by what Uncle Kyoji was saying, and did not respond.
Amamiya Haruki silently lowered his head, looking at his toes, pretending he hadn’t heard.
Only Ko Jin lazily stretched out his hand and weakly said, “Ready~”
The awkward atmosphere did not affect the smile on Uncle Kyoji’s face. He walked down the stairs, opened the tightly shut door, and lit up the neon sign hanging above.
The Black Phoenix Club was now open for business.
Lin Qiye and Amamiya Haruki stood up simultaneously, positioning themselves at the edge of the second-floor staircase, ready to welcome customers at any moment, while Ko Jin remained lazily sprawled on the table, yawning.
Soon, Lin Qiye and Amamiya Haruki understood why Ko Jin was so unfazed.
Half an hour had passed since opening, and not even a shadow of a customer had appeared.
Or rather, this entire secluded side street where the Black Phoenix Club was located had seen hardly any visitors. Even if someone did pass by, they would only glance in casually before walking away.
At this moment, Ko Jin, who had just said “ready~,” had already fallen asleep on the table.
Lin Qiye and Amamiya Haruki stood on either side of the hallway, exchanging glances, both feeling as if they had been tricked.
No customers, no sales, and no commissions?!
“Uncle Kyoji, why are there still no customers?” Lin Qiye couldn’t help but ask.
Uncle Kyoji chuckled, “Don’t worry, it’s still early… Just wait a bit longer, customers will come.”
And so, Lin Qiye and Amamiya Haruki waited from six o’clock until ten o’clock.
The diners lingering in Dotonbori had mostly left, and the foot traffic had decreased significantly. Lin Qiye watched helplessly as the once-bustling street gradually became sparse, and his feeling of being deceived grew stronger.
Just as he was about to go find Uncle Kyoji, a loud female voice suddenly rang out from downstairs.
“Ko Jin~ hic, Ko Jin~ I’m here to see you~”
Lin Qiye and Amamiya Haruki instantly perked up, while Ko Jin, who had been sleeping on the table, jolted awake, as if he had just had a nightmare.
Customers were coming!
Three women in their late twenties climbed the stairs together. The leading woman was clearly a bit drunk; even from several meters away, Lin Qiye could smell the alcohol on her. The other two seemed to be her friends, taking in their surroundings with a mix of shyness and curiosity, as it was their first time in such a place.
Uncle Kyoji quickly walked up to the three customers, his face beaming with a friendly smile.
“Ms. Tokita, back again to see Ko Jin?”
“It’s you, Kyoji… hic.” Ms. Tokita hiccupped, “Quick, let Ko Jin come and keep me company. I haven’t seen him in a long time, and I wonder if he’s lost weight…”
“Of course, Ko Jin is free right now.” Uncle Kyoji smiled at the other two female customers, “Are these two Ms. Tokita’s friends? They look a bit unfamiliar; is it their first time here?”
“Exactly! We have two new hosts here, definitely top-notch ones you’ve never seen before. Would you like to check them out?”
“Top-notch?” Ms. Tokita laughed, “Kyoji, I’ve been here so many times; I know how many hosts you have. The last few were such duds, and the only one worth looking at was Ko Jin.
My two friends are very picky; ordinary ones won’t do… Huh??”
As Ms. Tokita walked up the stairs, her words trailed off as she spotted Lin Qiye and Amamiya Haruki standing on either side, frozen in place.
The two friends beside her stared wide-eyed.
Wow, so this is what hosts look like?!!
“Who are these two…” Ms. Tokita’s gaze was glued to Lin Qiye’s deep-set eyes, speaking in a daze.
“They’re our new hosts. This one is Amamiya, and this one is Asanagi,” Uncle Kyoji introduced with a smile. “By the way, their rates are a bit on the higher side…”
“I want him! I want him!!” Ms. Tokita’s drunkenness faded instantly, and she exclaimed excitedly, “I don’t care how much it costs; I want him to drink with me!”
“And what about these two ladies?”
“Then, I want Amamiya…” one of the friends said, her gaze fixed on Amamiya Haruki, her cheeks slightly flushed.
“I’ll join Ms. Tokita,” the other friend chose Lin Qiye.
“Alright, please take a seat.”
Ms. Tokita wrapped her arm around Lin Qiye’s, her eyes sparkling as she pulled him to a window seat.
Lin Qiye frowned and pulled his hand away from Ms. Tokita’s grasp.
Ms. Tokita stood there in shock, looking at Lin Qiye, seemingly a bit angry.
“What do you mean by this? I’m a customer!”
Lin Qiye lowered his head, his eyes narrowing as he looked into Ms. Tokita’s eyes, exuding an irresistible authority, like a noble king surveying his subjects.
“And what if you’re a customer?” he said淡淡地, “If you want me to drink with you, you have to follow my rules; otherwise… get lost.”
Ms. Tokita stared blankly into his eyes, as if a statue frozen in place for a long time…
Then, an unprecedented excitement flickered in her gaze!
So domineering! So handsome! I love this character!!
Please feel free to criticize me!!
