Chapter 613: Rescue
As the red-haired and black-eyed figures cleared the area, Lin Qiye calmly walked towards Yuzhina in the center of the warehouse.
Standing next to Yuzhina, Koutarou, who was about to cut his finger, furrowed his brow. He raised the short knife in his hand and charged at Lin Qiye with a fierce look in his eyes.
Lin Qiye glanced at him, and at the moment the knife was about to stab him, he lightly sidestepped, using his knee to directly knock the short knife out of Koutarou’s hand. Following through, he kicked him like a sandbag, sending him flying several dozen meters away, crashing into the wall at the edge of the warehouse with a thud before falling to the ground.
Everything happened too quickly; it was so fast that Yuzhina only saw a blur before a two-hundred-pound man lay lifeless in the corner of the warehouse.
By the time Lin Qiye reached Yuzhina’s side, the area around the red-haired figure was mostly cleared. Apart from the three of them, no one else stood in the warehouse, and a pool of blood slowly gathered at the entrance.
Even without using the Forbidden Ruins, they could handle this group of thugs in under five seconds.
Witnessing the death of his subordinates, Iwamai Yousuke’s pupils constricted sharply. He sat stiffly on the black leather sofa, staring in shock at the red-haired and black-eyed figures, his lips trembling uncontrollably.
“What… what kind of monsters are you?!”
In contrast, Lin Qiye and the black-eyed figure’s methods of killing were relatively close to those of ordinary people, but the red-haired figure’s performance had completely surpassed human comprehension. Coupled with her golden vertical pupils, it was no surprise that people regarded her as a monster.
Lin Qiye did not answer his question but instead looked down at Yuzhina, extending his hand and softly asking, “Are you hurt?”
Yuzhina stared blankly at the man wearing the strange mask before her. After a long moment, she snapped back to reality, hesitated for a moment, then reached out to grasp Lin Qiye’s hand and slowly stood up.
“A little injury, it’s nothing,” she replied while sizing him up.
This outfit… why does it feel so familiar?
Just as Lin Qiye was about to say something else, he suddenly frowned.
He saw Iwamai Yousuke on the sofa, a fierce look flashing in his eyes as he swiftly reached into his coat…
“Watch out! He has a gun!!” Yuzhina shouted immediately upon seeing his movement.
Iwamai Yousuke pulled out a revolver, aimed it at Lin Qiye, and coldly pulled the trigger.
Bang—!
The gunshot rang out again.
An orange-yellow bullet shot out from the barrel, straight towards Lin Qiye’s head amidst the sparks!
Lin Qiye, as if he had anticipated the move, slightly tilted his head, and the bullet whizzed past his ear. Then, his figure blurred, and like a ghost, he appeared in front of Iwamai Yousuke, grabbing the barrel of the revolver and twisting it forcefully.
Before Iwamai Yousuke could recover from the pleasure of firing the gun, the weapon in his hand was twisted into a spiral.
Immediately after, a sharp gust of wind whooshed past his ear, and a tremendous force struck his cheek, sending him flying off the sofa!
Lin Qiye lightly shook his hand, coldly watching him, and walked slowly towards the fallen Iwamai Yousuke.
Iwamai Yousuke clutched his left cheek in pain, the buzzing in his ears felt like it had drilled into his brain, making it impossible for him to concentrate. He staggered and fell, his eyes becoming somewhat vacant.
“Do you enjoy slapping little girls?” Lin Qiye approached him, slowly crouched down, and grabbed his collar, lifting him up. The eyes beneath the Sun Wukong mask emitted a chilling glint.
Smack—!!
Another crisp sound echoed as Lin Qiye slapped Iwamai Yousuke, sending him flying ten meters away. He rolled on the ground twice before finally coming to a stop, lying there like a dead dog, motionless.
Lin Qiye had certainly held back; otherwise, with the first slap, Iwamai Yousuke would have been killed. But now, Lin Qiye did not want him to die so soon.
He stood up and looked at the black-eyed figure beside him.
“Help me pry open his mouth and see if there’s any valuable information.”
The black-eyed figure leaned over the blonde thug, a smile appearing at the corner of his mouth. “Leave it to me.”
He stepped forward, dragging the unconscious Iwamai Yousuke like trash, slowly making his way to the small room where Yuzhina had just been held. He casually closed the door, and moments later, piercing screams echoed from within.
Yuzhina jumped in shock.
Lin Qiye glanced at the surrounding corpses and pools of blood, pointing towards the warehouse door. “Let’s go outside and talk.”
Yuzhina turned to look at the room filled with screams, then at Lin Qiye’s strange mask. After hesitating for a moment, she nodded.
The two walked out of the warehouse, inhaling the fresh air outside. Feeling the warm sunlight, Yuzhina’s tense body finally relaxed a little.
“Who are you? Why did you save me?” She looked up at Lin Qiye.
Lin Qiye scanned the surroundings with his mental energy, confirming there were no surveillance cameras before lowering his head to remove his mask, a smile appearing at the corner of his mouth.
“It’s you?!” Yuzhina exclaimed, her mouth agape in shock as she recognized the familiar handsome face. “Aren’t you supposed to be deaf?”
Lin Qiye: …
“… I’m fine now,” Lin Qiye replied helplessly.
Yuzhina seemed to realize she had misspoken and quickly apologized, “Sorry, I’m not trying to say that…”
Lin Qiye waved his hand. “I was originally going to look for you at the container, but I ran into Granny Tsuru on the way. She told me you were missing, so I came looking for you.”
Yuzhina nodded thoughtfully and curiously asked, “Those two, are they your friends?”
Lin Qiye thought for a moment. “They are my subordinates.”
Yuzhina’s mouth dropped open in shock.
Those two fierce men were actually this young man’s subordinates?
Who on earth is he?
Lin Qiye noticed the confusion in Yuzhina’s heart but had no intention of answering. Instead, he changed the subject and asked, “Tell me about yourself. How did you get involved with these people?”
Yuzhina pressed her lips together, hesitating for a moment before slowly recounting the events that led to her current situation.
“They captured you to make you pay your father’s debts?” Lin Qiye raised an eyebrow, sizing up Yuzhina, seemingly puzzled. “But you’re just a little girl, not even of working age, and you don’t have any assets. Why are they so insistent on finding you? They shouldn’t be unaware that you have no money, right?”
“It seems they think my parents left me something valuable, and they keep insisting I find it to pay off the debt,” Yuzhina said angrily. “But there’s nothing! Besides that house, they didn’t leave me anything else, and they’ve already searched that house themselves and found nothing.”
Lin Qiye pondered thoughtfully.
