Chapter 551: God Slaying

Under the gloomy and dark sky, the Wind God Xiu and the Sand God Set hid their forms in the clouds, looking down at the shattered city moving eastward.

In the direction of the city’s movement, a large number of “mysteries” were rushing toward it. These powerful “mysteries,” dwelling in the mist, were like sharks sensing blood, swarming toward the broken city.

Two hundred, three hundred, four hundred…

The dark figures resembled thick ink clouds, obscuring half the sky.

“Now, he won’t have time to strike at us,” Xiu said calmly. “We just need to wait for him to be ground down by these endless waves of beasts, and then we can take over this city…”

Set glanced at him, “When it comes to using these dirty tricks, you’re the more skilled one.”

“As long as I can complete the Sun God’s task, that’s enough.”

Xiu replied indifferently.

Ding——!!!

At that moment, a sharp sound of a sword echoed through the clouds.

A streak of snow-white sword light shot out from the laws of the Fengdu, piercing through space in the blink of an eye, rapidly approaching them.

Both Set and Xiu’s expressions changed simultaneously!

“Why is he coming here?!” Xiu exclaimed in surprise. “Does he not care about the lives of those people in the city?”

Set’s face darkened, “I take back what I just said; your methods… seem not very effective.”

A figure in black holding a sword, carrying an overwhelming sword intent, stepped through the air.

Zhou Ping’s form had already become partially transparent, but even so, his eyes still contained a terrifying sword light that was hard to look at directly.

Xiu and Set keenly sensed that Zhou Ping’s aura was completely different now.

Previously, Zhou Ping, with a mortal body, knowing he could not slay a god, still chose to fight to the death. He exuded a resolute determination to fight regardless of everything…

But now,

He radiated an unprecedented killing intent!

There was no determination, no reckless abandon; it was the purest killing intent!

His gaze, his aura, the humming sword in his hand,

Seemed to say,

“God,

I, Zhou Ping,

Have come to kill you.”

This intense and pure killing intent, combined with the unprecedented, sharp, and fierce sword intent laws, made Xiu and Set’s hearts tremble uncontrollably.

That was fear.

In this endless time, for the first time, they felt fear toward a human.

No, that could no longer be considered a human.

That was a sword walking in the world, a sword that slays gods!

Xiu felt the killing intent rushing toward him from Zhou Ping, his face turning pale as he instinctively took half a step back.

Set stared fixedly at the approaching Zhou Ping, catching Xiu’s movement out of the corner of his eye, a flicker of anger appearing in his eyes. “What are you afraid of? He is just a vessel that is about to shatter. With the two of us working together, even other gods would have to retreat, let alone he is just a human?!”

Upon hearing this, Xiu’s eyes showed a conflicted expression. After a moment, he still stepped forward and stood his ground.

A faint smile appeared at the corner of Zhou Ping’s mouth.

“Human, what are you laughing at?” Set said coldly.

Zhou Ping’s smile faded as he slowly raised his head to look into Set’s eyes.

“I laugh at your foolishness and arrogance,”

“Ridiculous.” Set sneered. “Do you really think that with the power of the laws, you can slay a god? In your current state, how many times can you even wield the power of the laws? Once? Twice?”

Zhou Ping gripped his sword and calmly replied, “Killing you is enough.”

He slowly raised his right hand holding the sword…

The sword intent surged,

The winds and clouds stirred.

The howling gale swirled from beneath Zhou Ping’s feet, causing his clothes to flutter wildly. In the void, crisp sword sounds echoed through the sky.

The surging power of the laws flowed into Zhou Ping’s body.

Bang bang bang——!

As the sword intent laws poured in, Zhou Ping’s body erupted with several bursts of blood mist, flesh transforming into the Dao, gradually dissipating into the air.

Even so, his hand holding the sword did not tremble in the slightest,

The light in his eyes grew increasingly brilliant!

A terrifying wave of law fluctuations emanated from within him!

Between heaven and earth, various laws all have their uses.

The Nether Law governs death and reincarnation; the Life Law governs rebirth and nature; the Time Law governs the past, present, and future… These laws, which have existed since the birth of the world, maintain the operation of the entire world.

But now, there was an exception.

The sword law left by Zhou Ping on the Great Dao was an acquired law; it had no inherent use and was unrelated to the operation of this world.

Its only purpose was one,

To slay gods.

This was a law that existed solely for the purpose of slaying gods!

When this law was unleashed without reservation, the gods targeted by the sword would feel the terrifying pressure it brought!

The Sand God Set was no exception.

This sword law aimed at gods brought him a sense of oppression far beyond his imagination.

At the moment Zhou Ping raised his sword, the surging sword intent locked onto his form, as if a sharp arrow was suspended above his head, ready to strike down at any moment. The terrifying might brought by this sword intent momentarily halted the operation of his divine power.

At this moment, Zhou Ping had already raised the sword in his hand.

The sword hummed.

In his eyes, a brilliant sword light suddenly flashed!

The sword in his hand, without any embellishment, fell with a single stroke.

Boom——!!!

Endless sword energy erupted like a volcanic explosion, transforming into a sword light that pierced through heaven and earth, flashing forth.

The dense mist that had shrouded this land for a century violently rolled and rapidly split to the sides, revealing a vacuum corridor spanning dozens of miles!

Zhou Ping stood at one end of this corridor.

While Set and Xiu were at the other end.

Set quickly raised both hands and forcefully clapped them together in front of him. Endless yellow sand rolled out from beneath his cloak, instantly transforming into a giant yellow sand beast hundreds of meters tall, blocking in front of him!

At the same time, a desert sand barrier opened in front of him, like a giant shield positioned behind the yellow sand beast.

The sword light swept across the sky, the blinding sword energy surged, illuminating the dark and gloomy sky into a brilliant white!

Amidst that blinding white light, the yellow sand beast’s roaring form suddenly froze, a sword mark hundreds of meters long appearing on its surface, the cut smooth and flawless.

The sword intent laws shredded every grain of yellow sand, and that towering behemoth in the sky seemed as fragile as paper before this sword light.

Immediately afterward, the entire desert sand barrier trembled violently, dense cracks rapidly spreading across the yellow sand boundary!

Set’s pupils suddenly constricted!

In the next moment, the desert sand barrier was cleaved in two by that sword light, rapidly collapsing!

Set’s body quickly disintegrated into yellow sand, but ultimately, he was still a step too late.

That streak of sword light swept past his already transformed yellow sand head, the sword law contained within shattering Set’s yellow sand law, interrupting the process of transformation, and the surging sword energy filled the space between heaven and earth.

A splash of crimson blood sprayed out, leaving a shocking bloodstain on the yellow sand.

A head with wide, round eyes was thrown high into the air…

The yellow sand law crumbled inch by inch.

Today,

The Great Xia Sword Immortal Zhou Ping,

Slayed a god with a single sword.
