Chapter 1616 An Qingyu and Shen Qingzhu
As the sound of a snap echoed, all noise in London instantly vanished.
The overwhelming swarm of Mi-Go seemed to have been muted, their wing-beating shrieks abruptly ceasing. Endless gray spread from those six wings, an aura of desolate extinction enveloping the sky.
The pressure of a Supreme God suddenly descended!
“What happened?” In the ruins, a knight stared blankly at this gray world, opening his mouth in confusion, but though his lips moved, no sound came out.
“An… angel!”
Another knight stretched out his hand, pointing at the gray six-winged figure in the distant sky, his eyes filled with terror. “It’s actually an angel?!”
Taylor stood before the many knights, recognizing the gray angel’s appearance, his body violently trembling.
“How is this possible… how could he be…”
In the gray desolate world, Taylor kept muttering in disbelief.
…
On the other side of London,
A figure draped in a black robe moved like a shadow through the ruins, silently approaching the direction of the church.
As the gray divine ruins enveloped heaven and earth, An Qingyu frowned and looked toward the distance.
“Zhuai-ge?”
Seeing the six-winged angel’s face, surprise appeared on his otherwise calm countenance.
He returned from hell? And that aura… he indeed perfectly absorbed the hell’s origin, even leaping to become a six-winged angel-level existence.
It seems Lucifer most likely died at his hands.
An Qingyu’s gaze swept over the Mi-Go wave shrouded in gray, solemnity appearing between his brows,
“This is troublesome…”
An Qingyu pondered for a moment, then turned to look in another direction,
“He’s coming toward me again, doesn’t he no longer have [Mortal Divine Domain]?”
An Qingyu shook his head, no longer lingering, instantly transforming into a shadow and disappearing from the spot.
Tens of seconds later,
A deep red figure landed nearby, frowning as he looked around.
“There’s the aura of the Gate of Truth in this rain… it should be nearby, but why can’t I find it?
You, are you hiding from me?”
Lin Qiye’s fists clenched under his cloak. Just as he was about to search again, his footsteps suddenly paused.
His gaze penetrated the gray curtain of rain, falling upon the distant church, light flickering in his eyes,
“Suddenly mobilizing such a large-scale Mi-Go force here… your target, could it be her?”
Lin Qiye’s mind raced. After hesitating briefly, instead of continuing to circle in the rain, he transformed into a blur, swiftly darting toward the church in the rain.
…
Under the wings of the Angel of Desolation, the surging wave of Mi-Go, as if sensing danger, silently shrieked and frantically rushed toward Shen Qingzhu!
Shen Qingzhu, with six wings on his back, hovered in the air, quietly gazing at these Mi-Go, showing no intention to dodge.
Just as the foremost Mi-Go was about to touch Shen Qingzhu, its body suddenly froze!
A crack suddenly appeared from its tentacled head, spreading around its entire body in the blink of an eye. With a crisp sound, it was split in half in mid-air!
Then came the second one, the third one…
In this silent world, dense crisp breaking sounds rang out, like firecrackers during New Year, or like chestnuts being stir-fried in a hot wok, instantly echoing throughout London’s sky.
The pink wave transformed into countless bisected corpses, falling from mid-air, mixing with the gray rain, like pink flower petals washed away by rain, buried beneath the ruins.
With just a snap of fingers, the vast majority of Mi-Go were annihilated.
Seeing this incredible sight, the surviving knights were completely stunned. They never imagined that the smoking young man was actually a six-winged angel… and even the never-before-seen Angel of Desolation!
Taylor held his knight’s sword in one hand, his expression extremely grim.
As the pink corpses fell to the ground from the sky, the six-winged angel slowly descended before the knights.
Shen Qingzhu narrowed his eyes, slowly walking toward Taylor, not restraining his Supreme God-level pressure at all, forcefully pressing it on Taylor’s shoulders!
Whether due to excessive blood loss or the overwhelming pressure, Taylor’s face was extremely pale. Wearing broken armor, he endured and stood firm under the divine might, without making a sound.
Shen Qingzhu walked to the rigid Taylor, stopped, and glanced at him indifferently,
“You have backbone… we’ll settle our accounts later.”
As the words fell, Shen Qingzhu’s six wings behind him gently fluttered, and his figure instantly vanished from the ruins.
Only after his presence completely disappeared did Taylor groan, suddenly spitting out a mouthful of blood, his body staggering forward.
“Knight Commander!”
Seeing this, the other knights immediately reached out to support him, but were pushed away by him.
Taylor looked back in the direction Shen Qingzhu had left, his back inside the armor already soaked with cold sweat…
…
The gray rain poured down on the earth, misty vapors rising and merging with the gray fog, further reducing visibility across London.
In the ruins, the constantly moving shadow suddenly sensed something and stopped.
A figure streaked across the sky like a meteor, crashing into the ruins not far away, with Supreme God-level shockwaves spreading out!
The fierce wind made the black robe flutter loudly. An Qingyu held his hat brim with one hand, his cold, serene gray eyes fixed on the distant ruins, his brows slightly furrowed.
Amidst the dust and water vapor, a figure with six wings stood tall.
With a gentle flutter of those wings, the surrounding ruins and dust were pushed away. Shen Qingzhu looked at the familiar black-robed figure and took a deep breath…
“Deputy Captain An, long time no see.”
An Qingyu silently looked at him, and after a moment, finally spoke, “Don’t block my way, Zhuai-ge.”
“And if I do, what then?” Shen Qingzhu paused. “Will you kill me too, just like you killed Cao Yuan?”
An Qingyu’s gaze intensified, but he remained silent.
Seeing An Qingyu’s expression, Shen Qingzhu seemed to understand something and sighed deeply, “So, Cao Yuan was really killed by you?”
“That doesn’t matter anymore.” An Qingyu said calmly. “I am no longer the deputy captain of [Nightfall], and our positions differ… if you continue to obstruct me, I won’t show mercy.”
Hearing these words, Shen Qingzhu’s eyes narrowed slightly. Those gray wings expanded, seeming to melt into liquid, flowing across the ground. A domain of desolate gray opened once more.
Shen Qingzhu put a cigarette in his mouth, lighting it with a gentle rub. He took a deep drag, and the divine might of the Angel of Desolation mixed with the hazy smoke instantly filled the entire battlefield!
“I’d like to see how you show no mercy.”
