Chapter 1495 Lucifer’s Warning
Mist.
A Daoist stood suspended in the air above the ruins of an abandoned North American city. Behind him, the massive silhouette of a celestial palace appeared and disappeared in the mist.
Swirling spiritual energy flowed around him, golden threads extending from the Heavenly Court. Following the fingertips of the Primordial Heavenly Lord, they stirred the surrounding space-time into constant turbulence, with ripples of space-time sweeping across the sky.
The Primordial Heavenly Lord frowned as he gazed at the center of the ripples, as if waiting for something.
Suddenly, the undulating space-time ripples froze, then began to violently tremble, as if something was about to break through!
As the bow of the Dao Vessel slowly broke through the ripples, descending vertically from nothingness into the world, the Supreme Primordial Intent instantly filled the entire sky, and the Primordial Heavenly Lord’s heart finally settled.
He knew that the location An Qingyu had given was correct.
The Primordial Dao Vessel passed through the crack in the space-time wall, completely landing on Earth. Dense streams of light flew out from the vessel, encircling the surroundings.
“We’re back…” Guan Zai looked around, his eyes brightening when he saw the Primordial Heavenly Lord in the distance.
“Thank you, Heavenly Lord, for your rescue!”
“Thank you, Heavenly Lord, for your rescue!” Many Great Xia gods and human elites bowed respectfully to the Primordial Heavenly Lord.
“Don’t thank me, someone else saved you.” The Primordial Heavenly Lord smiled, turning to look at the Spiritual Treasure Heavenly Lord walking down from the Primordial Dao Vessel, his expression somewhat emotional. “Welcome back… Spiritual Treasure.”
The Spiritual Treasure Heavenly Lord waved his hand to disperse the Primordial Dao Vessel, a smile at the corner of his mouth, and cupped his hands in greeting:
“Long time no see.”
“Words of reunion can wait for later…” The Primordial Heavenly Lord’s gaze swept over everyone as he waved his hand to open the gates of the Heavenly Court, his expression gradually becoming serious. “Great Xia is in trouble, please return quickly!”
…
Olympus.
Black six-winged figure descended at the peak of the mountain before the sacred throne. As the wings folded, an angel with a sinister appearance scanned the surroundings and said flatly:
“Your Olympus… is quite lively indeed.”
On the golden throne, an aged Zeus hunched over, his eyes narrowed as he looked at Him. At the side of the throne, a young lesser god stood respectfully.
“Brahma betrayed me first, I must kill him first.” Zeus’s aged voice echoed in the air. “Why have you come to my Olympus?”
“Nothing much, just came to see if you’ve died of old age yet.” Lucifer’s lips curved slightly upward.
Zeus’s gaze instantly turned sharp, and the pressure of the Supreme God suddenly descended!
“Just a joke, don’t be so tense. We’re allies now, aren’t we?” Lucifer spoke leisurely.
Zeus snorted coldly without speaking.
“Have you found Chronos’s corpse?” Lucifer got to the point.
“…No.” Zeus slowly spoke, “I’ve had people search that sea area several times, but no one has seen that old thing’s body… Perhaps it was carried away to somewhere else by the time currents.”
“Pity, his corpse would have been good nourishment for that great lord…”
Lucifer sighed.
Zeus was silent for a moment, then spoke hoarsely, “Is it possible… that he isn’t dead at all?”
“What are you thinking? That’s impossible.” Lucifer shook his head, “He was killed by that great lord personally, and the law of time has returned to heaven and earth. He is certainly dead… Zeus, are you that afraid of him?”
“I’m just a bit concerned.”
“It seems he left quite a shadow on you.” Lucifer chuckled lightly, “By the way, that great lord is about to move against Great Xia. Although the people of Xia don’t worship gods and provide little power of faith, keeping those people around is still harmful… While the gods of Xia are exiled, we should destroy Xia in one go to avoid future troubles.”
Zeus seemed to guess Lucifer’s thoughts and shook his head:
“As you can see, in my current state, it’s difficult for me to engage in direct combat, especially when we still have to deal with Brahma… Olympus cannot intervene this time.”
“It doesn’t matter. Currently, there are only two Heavenly Lords in Xia’s territory, along with some humans as weak as ants. The great lord and I will be enough.” Lucifer paused, “As for Brahma… although he’s injured, he’s still a Supreme God. In your current state, can you kill him?”
“I have my ways.” Zeus said coldly.
Seeing this, Lucifer didn’t ask further. His six black wings spread open, and his form slowly rose from the ground.
He looked down at Zeus sitting on the golden throne and said flatly, “Zeus, you’re a smart man. Since you’ve chosen to ally with us, you should know what fate awaits if you betray us…”
With a flap of his wings, Lucifer instantly vanished.
Zeus frowned and snorted coldly. Just as he was about to rise, countless dense black dots swarmed across the sky, and an indescribable evil aura spread like a tsunami!
Zeus’s pupils contracted slightly. Si Xiaonan, standing beside the golden throne, saw the scene in the sky and her expression changed.
They were countless flesh monsters resembling trees, with tumor-like tentacles, black goat hooves, and crimson eyeballs growing on pairs of bizarre wings, like pieced-together demons, shrieking as they swept across the sky.
There were thousands of these monsters, their enormous bodies crowded together like a surging tide of writhing flesh!
If Michael were here, he would recognize at a glance that these monsters were the offspring of the [Black Goat] that had previously invaded the lunar seal.
“What are those things?!”
“So disgusting…”
“Is this the army of Cthulhu? So many… where are they going?”
“Where else? Great Xia, of course!”
“As long as they’re not coming for us…”
“We’ve already allied with the Cthulhu gods, how could they attack us?”
“Heh, that’s not certain…”
“…”
This tide of flesh surging across the sky startled all the Olympian gods. It was their first encounter with true Cthulhu power besides Lucifer… the nauseating aura and terrifying pressure made their spirits tremble.
This flesh tide roared over Olympus for nearly a minute before finally disappearing into the horizon.
Zeus watched their departing figures, his aged face extremely grim!
He knew clearly that Lucifer was most likely acting on the [Black Goat]’s orders to destroy Great Xia, and had deliberately detoured through Olympus to intimidate him, to let the Greek gods know the terror of that great lord, and to completely crush any thoughts of resistance…
Si Xiaonan also guessed Lucifer’s intention. Standing beside the golden throne, light flickered in her eyes as she seemed to be desperately thinking of countermeasures.
“Bia, are all the gods ready?” Zeus broke his long silence, suddenly addressing Si Xiaonan beside him.
Si Xiaonan immediately nodded, “They’re ready and can move against Brahma at any time.”
“We can’t delay any longer…”
Zeus leaned on his black staff, shakily standing up from the golden throne and slowly walking toward the valley, murderous intent bursting from his cloudy eyes!
“Tell them to act.”
“Yes!”
