Chapter 1354 After Making a Wish
“Michael?”
Monkey King sensed the divine aura coming toward him and spoke in surprise.
Michael’s gaze swept over Lin Qiye and the others, then quickly locked onto a certain point in the void, his eyes narrowing slightly.
“Finally caught up… where can you run to this time?”
Michael gripped the void with his hand, and a holy sword of light condensed in his palm. Miracles flowed across his six pure white wings; with a single flap, he shattered the void and disappeared from his original position.
Not long after Michael’s figure vanished, dense cracks blossomed in the sky above Asgard, as if some entity was about to break through the void.
Bang—!
With a resonating boom, black fragments of void scattered in all directions.
The severely wounded Odin stared at the six-winged Seraph standing in the clouds, crimson worms constantly repairing his broken organs, his expression extremely grim.
“Like a persistent ghost…” Odin spoke coldly.
“I told you, even if you run to the ends of the earth, I can still catch you,” Michael said calmly.
The worms in Odin’s eye sockets trembled slightly. After only a moment’s hesitation, he transformed into a blood-red streak of light, once again breaking through the void and heading straight toward the horizon.
After consecutively battling the goddesses of “Present” and “Past,” as well as Bragi who had broken through to the supreme god realm, Odin’s condition was extremely poor. Facing the Seraph Michael at full strength, he had almost no chance of victory…
The six wings behind Michael gently fluttered, and a brilliant golden light streaked across the sky, closely pursuing Odin’s figure, disappearing from everyone’s sight in an instant.
“Where’s Bragi?”
Not seeing Bragi’s figure, Lin Qiye immediately looked around.
In the distance, a blood-covered figure was falling helplessly from the sky, crashing into the ruins of a temple not far away, sending dust swirling into the air.
Lin Qiye and the other two rushed over immediately. Through the hazy dust, Bragi staggered to his feet, a bloody hole in his chest. A broken harp lay at his feet, its light dimmed.
“Cough, cough, cough…” Bragi wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and smiled at the three who had come over.
“Although I’m badly injured, Odin is not in good shape either… How about it? I’m pretty impressive, right?”
“Impressive,” Monkey King nodded, his expression complex as he spoke, “You’ve surpassed us… Bard.”
Bragi took a step forward, swaying as he walked to Monkey King and took the blood-filled [Holy Grail]. Despite his blood-stained face, his eyes were incredibly bright.
“Is this… enough now?”
With the sacrifice of all remaining Norse gods, the [Holy Grail] was filled to capacity with liquor, meaning it could not absorb any more offerings.
This was the limit of the “supreme” divine artifact.
Bragi took a deep breath, his trembling hands holding the [Holy Grail], raising it high in the blood rain…
He slowly closed his eyes, and his hoarse voice sounded:
“Idunn… return to me.”
As his words fell, the air once again sank into dead silence.
Everyone’s gaze was fixed on the surface of the [Holy Grail]. Suddenly, a brilliant light burst forth from the blood-stained cup!
Boom—!!
A tremendous thunderclap exploded from the clouds!
“It’s working?!” Lin Qiye’s heart leaped with joy at the sight.
Everyone looked up and saw that the originally gray clouds had somehow turned pitch black. Lead-colored storm clouds hung heavily over Asgard, like the end of the world.
“Something’s not right… what is this aura?” Monkey King sniffed the air, his brows furrowed.
A black lightning bolt flashed across the sky. The lead-colored clouds began to slowly rotate, like a massive vortex suspended in the sky, and at the center of that vortex was Bragi holding the [Holy Grail]!
The swirling storm clouds gradually descended, black lightning dancing between the clouds. A terrifying pressure that made one’s body tremble suddenly appeared in every corner of Asgard!
Lin Qiye had never felt such pressure before.
Over the years, he had directly experienced the pressure of main gods, lesser gods, and even “supreme” beings… but the feeling brought by this lead-black cloud vortex overhead far exceeded them all.
It wasn’t just the suffocating pressure; these storm clouds exuded an indescribable strangeness and disharmony that made one’s body feel twisted just by looking at them.
As the cloud vortex descended, a huge black shadow gradually took shape in the center of the rotating clouds…
It was an eye.
An eye without a pupil, pale and lightless.
…
At the edge of Asgard.
The golden domain expanded from Michael’s body, the holy sword in his hand like a golden lightning bolt, instantly piercing the void before him.
With a light sound, the badly wounded Odin was forced out of the void, immediately enveloped by the [Mortal Divine Domain]. The surging golden light continuously washed over his body, and the crimson worms throughout his body let out piercing screams.
Large numbers of worms fell from his body, dropping into the golden light and dissipating like rising steam.
Odin stood in the [Mortal Divine Domain] in his tattered divine robe, like a drifting duckweed in the storm, his face extremely pale.
“Odin… you have nowhere to run,” Michael, with six wings on his back, pulled the holy sword from the domain and walked step by step toward him, speaking calmly.
Odin gave a cold laugh, about to say something, when a thunderous explosion came from the distance.
Michael frowned and turned his head to look.
When he saw the lead-black clouds rotating and descending, his pupils suddenly contracted!
“That is…” he murmured.
…
“What the hell is that thing?” Lin Qiye’s expression turned grim as he saw the huge pale eye.
He didn’t know what this eye was, but he was certain that this thing was definitely not Idunn! Bragi had wished for Idunn to return… why did this monster appear instead?!
Just as Lin Qiye was shocked, a gap suddenly opened in the pale giant eye at the center of the vortex.
A milky white ball of light slowly floated down from the sky…
…
…
