Chapter 1289 Scoti
The moment he saw those three figures, Bragi froze in place.
Those three figures, he certainly recognized them.
The goddess of the “Past” Urd, the goddess of the “Present” Verdandi, and the goddess of the “Future” Skuld.
“Bragi?”
Verdandi, seeing Bragi running out of the wooden cabin in a disheveled state, was equally stunned, confusion appearing in her eyes.
“How can it be him?” Urd spoke in astonishment, “Hasn’t he been missing for a hundred years…”
Verdandi turned her head to look at Skuld with her two colorful braids beside her, “Is it him?”
Skuld’s large black eyes carefully examined Bragi for a long while, then she nodded firmly:
“Yes, it’s him!”
Verdandi and Urd exchanged glances, and the latter immediately understood, nodding slightly. Her eyes began to stare at Bragi, peering into his past.
A moment later, she let out a soft exclamation of surprise.
“What’s wrong?” Verdandi asked.
“His past hundred years… I can’t see clearly?” Urd’s eyes were full of confusion, “He’s like that Lin Qiye, some of his past is covered by mist. Even I can’t see clearly what he has experienced in these hundred years…”
Verdandi’s brows furrowed slightly.
“The Three Goddesses?” When Bragi saw them, joy suddenly appeared in his eyes.
He quickly ran forward and said to the three goddesses: “Three Goddesses! Please help me! I can’t find my wife Idunn! Do you know where she is?”
Hearing this question, expressions of astonishment appeared on the faces of the two goddesses.
Skuld tilted her head in confusion, seemingly not understanding what he was saying, “Sister Idunn, isn’t she already…”
Bragi widened his eyes, “Already what?”
“You don’t remember?” Urd stared at Bragi whose eyes were red, and after a moment, exchanged glances with Verdandi beside her. The latter gave him a meaningful look.
“Forget it, see for yourself…”
Urd raised her palm and gently waved it at Bragi in front of her. He felt his vision blur, and his whole body fell backward, fainting in the barren garden.
Lin Qiye and Si Xiaonan hurried over from behind, and seeing this scene, their expressions darkened.
“Three Goddesses, what is this…”
“He wanted to see the past clearly, so I helped him a bit.” Urd stepped forward, carrying the unconscious Bragi on her shoulder, her gaze sweeping over Lin Qiye, “You and him, you’re actually connected? I didn’t see it in your past… What exactly is in that mist of your memories?”
Lin Qiye was stunned at first, but then guessed that the “Past” goddess Urd probably couldn’t see through the existence of the hospital. To her, Bragi’s past hundred years was completely a blur.
“He is my pati… ahem, he is my friend,” Lin Qiye said solemnly. “A very good friend.”
Urd glanced at him without asking further, carrying the unconscious Bragi and walking straight out of the garden.
“Wait!” Seeing the three goddesses about to take Bragi away, Lin Qiye immediately stepped forward to block them, his face grim as he spoke, “Three Goddesses, what are you doing?”
Verdandi stared at the unconscious Bragi for a long time, then sighed deeply:
“He is the source of this Ragnarok. We cannot let him leave like this.”
“The source of Ragnarok?”
Lin Qiye stood frozen in place.
He looked suspiciously at the sleeping Bragi, recalling his erratic behavior in the hospital, and couldn’t connect him with “Ragnarok” at all.
It’s worth noting that Bragi doesn’t even know how to fight. Although in terms of mythological ranking, he could barely be considered a major god, he probably couldn’t even defeat an ordinary minor god… How could he possibly be the source of Ragnarok?
“Is there some misunderstanding here?” Lin Qiye frowned.
“…Perhaps there is, after all, Skuld’s prophecies can only see a corner of the future, and something like Ragnarok is beyond the scope of her abilities.” Verdandi paused for a moment, “But the matter is serious, and now we cannot miss any opportunity.
We will take him back to the valley. If you’re worried about your friend, you can come with us.”
As soon as she finished speaking, the three goddesses took Bragi and quickly flew back to the valley they came from.
Seeing this, Lin Qiye followed without hesitation.
Bragi was his patient. Although he didn’t know exactly what had happened to make him run directly out of the hospital, Lin Qiye couldn’t possibly ignore the situation.
The three goddesses were much faster than Lin Qiye. By the time he returned to the familiar valley, Urd, Verdandi, and Bragi were already gone, leaving only Skuld alone, sitting idly at the edge of the cliff, fiddling with flowers and grass.
She saw Lin Qiye and Si Xiaonan approaching from a distance, her eyes brightened, and she quickly stood up, waving at him:
“Big brother!”
Lin Qiye walked to her side, looked around, and asked, “Where are your two sisters?”
“They took the other brother to the sacred spring.”
“Is that brother awake?”
“Not yet.”
Lin Qiye nodded, “Then can you take me there?”
“Sure.” Skuld blinked at Lin Qiye, “But big brother, I’m so bored…”
Lin Qiye immediately understood her meaning and summoned Mumu, placing it directly into Skuld’s arms.
“If you’re bored, play with it for a while.”
Skuld hugged the bewildered Mumu, her eyes smiling into crescents. She ran in front of Lin Qiye and Si Xiaonan, humming an unknown tune, leading them deeper into the valley.
Skuld was very small, and her walking pace didn’t seem fast, but even so, Lin Qiye and Si Xiaonan could barely keep up with her even using all their strength. This was probably the result of her deliberately slowing down.
Deep in the forest with scattered shade, Skuld shook her head, her two colorful braids swaying gently in the forest. Occasionally, Mumu’s cooing could be heard from a distance.
“Skuld?” Lin Qiye suddenly spoke up, as if he had thought of something.
“What is it, big brother?” Skuld turned her head in confusion, “Am I walking too fast?”
“No… I want to ask you something.”
Lin Qiye walked to Skuld’s side, and as they walked, he asked curiously, “You can see a corner of the future?”
“Yes, but I can’t control exactly which corner I see.” Skuld tilted her head, thinking as she spoke, “After all, what I actually control is only part of the laws of time… Sister said that the reason I can see a corner of the future is because sometimes my thoughts are unconsciously accelerated, exceeding something… the speed of light?
After exceeding that speed, some images of the future are transmitted into my mind, becoming a kind of prophecy.”
Lin Qiye nodded thoughtfully.
“Then can you see what I will be like in the future?”
