Chapter 1253 Enraged Sol

After receiving Lin Qiye’s affirmative response, Number 22’s smile deepened.

“What’s your plan?” Number 22 immediately asked.

Lin Qiye pondered for a moment, not answering this question, but instead asking:

“How many divine artifacts from the King’s Treasury did you hide away?”

Number 22’s expression darkened.

From Gilgamesh’s words, Lin Qiye already knew some artifacts were missing, and at that time in the treasury, apart from the Sumerian gods and Lin Qiye’s group, the only one who could have taken the artifacts was Survivor Number 22.

If nothing unexpected happened, the lost King’s [Chalice] and King’s [Sword] would be in his possession.

Number 22’s eyes flickered with light, as if struggling with something. Meanwhile, Lin Qiye’s voice unhurriedly sounded again:

“You yourself said we’re on the same side, and now you still want to hide artifacts as a backup plan?

Whatever means you have, it’s better to reveal them early. This will save a lot of unnecessary trouble.”

Number 22 gritted his teeth and reluctantly said, “The silver lock that can bind gods, along with the [Scepter] and [Sword], are all with me… but now they’ve been taken away.”

“So they kept you here because they want to use you to activate the [Scepter] when needed?”

Lin Qiye immediately guessed the gods’ intention in keeping Number 22.

“…Yes.” Number 22 continued, “What does this have to do with our plan?”

“Only by knowing under what circumstances they would actively release you from here can we continue with our subsequent actions, isn’t that right?” Lin Qiye countered.

Number 22 remained silent.

“I need to think carefully.”

Lin Qiye stopped talking, leaning alone against the corner of the cell, closing his eyes as if falling asleep.

In reality, his brain was working at high speed.

To be honest, escaping from here wasn’t difficult for Lin Qiye, after all, with the [Chalice] in hand, he had the confidence to make his wishes come true.

But the problem was that his goal wasn’t simply to escape this place like Number 22… his goal was to find the most appropriate moment to open the rainbow bridge to Asgard for the gods of Great Xia!

Once the situation expanded, there would be many things to consider.

After he used the [Chalice], would Number 22 become envious? Would he force Lin Qiye to use the [Chalice] to take him away from here? Afterward, would he betray Lin Qiye? Would the sacrifices left in the [Chalice] be enough to support him in completing this mission?

After much consideration, Lin Qiye abandoned the method of leaving directly with the [Chalice]. It would be best if Number 22 didn’t know the [Chalice] was in his possession at all.

After all, he knew exactly what kind of person Number 22 was.

Without using the [Chalice], the only way to leave here would be for Thor to release them personally…

In Lin Qiye’s mind, he quickly recalled the news he had heard today on the streets of Asgard.

“The missing Sif…” Lin Qiye slowly opened his eyes, as if thinking of something, a gleam flashing in his pupils.

He stood up from the ground and quickly walked to the cell door, forcefully knocking on the red bars.

“Are you seeking death?!”

A guard responsible for watching the cells quickly came over, speaking fiercely.

“I want to see Thor,” Lin Qiye said calmly.

…

Asgard.

Thor walked out of his temple, his face extremely gloomy.

“How did it go?” The war god Tyr stood at the bottom of the steps and asked.

“Nothing,” Thor clenched his fists, bloodshot lines climbing in his eyes. “We’ve searched everywhere possible. Sif wouldn’t leave without a word unless…”

“Unless someone secretly abducted her,” Tyr completed the sentence.

Thor didn’t speak, just silently turned his head in a certain direction, fierce anger appearing in his eyes.

In Asgard, few had the ability to secretly abduct the goddess of harvest, and those with a motive to do so… there was only one.

“Loki!!”

Thor growled, the muscles in his arms bulging grotesquely.

With a tremendous sound, the temple steps beneath his feet exploded into a huge crater. His figure transformed into a thick bolt of lightning, instantly streaking across the sky!

War god Tyr’s form flickered as he followed closely behind.

This lightning bolt, mixed with killing intent and roars, quickly attracted the attention of the Norse gods along the way. They looked puzzlingly in the direction Thor had gone, and as if realizing something, their expressions changed.

Loki’s temple.

A lightning bolt descended from the sky, shattering the stone tiles on the ground into flying fragments.

Thor, wearing his red cape and wielding his silver hammer, was surrounded by flashing lightning like swimming snakes. His eyes, encircled by electric light, were filled with killing intent.

“Loki!! Come out!”

Thor roared.

Without waiting for an answer, he flashed to the magnificent temple gates. As his silver hammer raised, dense lightning surged like a tsunami, directly smashing open the doors!

His roar echoed in the dim, deathly quiet hall. Within the towering temple, no one came out, and no one answered, as if it were a giant mouth of an abyss waiting for him to enter.

Thor frowned deeply, stepping on lightning as he walked in.

In the flickering lightning, a long-haired figure gradually emerged from the darkness.

“Si Xiaonan?” Thor recognized the girl’s face, his frown deepening.

He took a step forward, a lightning flash instantly appearing before Si Xiaonan. His thick arm gripped her throat, slowly lifting her from the ground.

Under Thor’s terrifying divine power and lightning, Si Xiaonan had no strength to resist. She grabbed his wrist with both hands, her face pale.

“You told us the location of the King’s Treasury just to divert our attention, so Loki could take the opportunity to abduct Sif?” Thor’s bloodshot eyes glared at the suffering Si Xiaonan as he said in a low, gritted voice,

“You and Loki are indeed birds of a feather.”

Si Xiaonan struggled to look at Thor’s furious eyes, her lips pressed together, saying nothing.

Thor watched as Si Xiaonan’s eyes gradually became unfocused and her breathing became heavier. He looked toward the depths of the hall, his voice sounding again like thunder:

“Loki!! Are you just going to watch as I kill your proxy? Is your heart truly made of iron?!”

As his words fell, Thor forcefully threw the near-death Si Xiaonan away. She crashed into the temple wall in the corner, letting out a painful groan.

Si Xiaonan trembled as she touched the black bruise on her neck, breathing frantically, looking at Thor with extremely complex emotions.

In the end, Thor still didn’t kill her.

At this moment, a figure slowly rose from the throne in the depths of the hall. In the dimness, Loki supported his chin with one hand, narrowing his eyes as he looked down at the lightning-surrounded Thor below, sneering:

“You wouldn’t really kill her anyway… would you? My hypocritical and pathetic Thor.”
