Chapter 1215 Myles’ Prophecy

A setting sun slowly sinks at the golden edge of the desert.

The sunset’s glow falls upon many weary faces, as if covering them with a dark red veil. They glance at the endless desert surrounding them, their expressions filled with worry.

“Why haven’t we arrived yet after walking for so long? Didn’t Myers say it would be quick?”

“Yeah, and why is this treasury so big?”

“Could Myers be lost?”

“How is that possible? Myers is a prophet, how could he get lost?”

“Have you forgotten the consequences of questioning Myers’ prophecies?”

Many agents turned their heads and glared at the agent who questioned whether they were lost, who immediately fell silent.

After those two agents ignored Lin Qiye’s warnings and flew into the sky to their tragic deaths, Lin Qiye’s credibility among everyone reached its peak.

And those agents with slightly more active minds had already begun to curry favor with Lin Qiye.

“My name is Kyle, I’m the agent of Atar, the fire god of Persian mythology,” an agent walked up to Lin Qiye and said with a smile.

“I’ve long heard that Merlin, the god of prophecy and magic, is the founder of prophetic arts, knowledgeable of past and future, even his agent can foresee things. Now I see his reputation is well-deserved.”

Another agent beside him sneered:

“Persian mythology? Just a declining minor pantheon. How dare Atar call himself a fire god? I’m Eiffel, agent of the Olympian deities…”

The agents all came forward, chatting with Lin Qiye as they walked.

Lin Qiye’s prophetic abilities were evident to everyone. Combined with his kind, dignified, steady and knowledgeable demeanor and personality, befriending him would definitely not be a mistake.

Even if everyone left the King’s Treasury, in the future when facing uncertainties, they might be able to ask for his prophetic help.

Lin Qiye politely smiled at every agent who conversed with him.

“By the way, we met because we were hunting the Dual Gods’ agent. How about this: if I capture the Dual Gods’ agent after we get out and extract the secrets of representing the Dual Gods, I’ll share them with you!”

An agent patted Lin Qiye’s shoulder with a smile.

Lin Qiye’s smile froze.

“Yes, with Myers’ prophetic abilities, catching the Dual Gods’ agent would be as easy as turning over our hands. We could join forces to hunt them down and share intelligence.”

“We might even extract some secrets about Great Xia, and by submitting these secrets to our divine realms, we could gain considerable benefits…”

“…”

As they spoke with increasing excitement, these agents who had been scheming against each other in the mist not long ago now seemed like close friends, planning to collaborate to gain favors from their respective divine realms.

Lin Qiye looked at these agents’ eager faces and inwardly sneered.

He could see clearly what kind of people these agents were from the gathering. They were the type who would easily betray the deities they represented, even their divine realms, for personal gain. How could they possibly be good people?

Perhaps there were indeed good people among agents, but those appearing in this treasury definitely were not.

Lin Qiye hadn’t forgotten that these agents were here because they wanted to capture him and force out the secrets of the Dual Gods’ agent and Great Xia.

The current alliance was merely a performance driven by aligned interests.

With just a little provocation, this seemingly united team would immediately fall apart.

Lin Qiye’s eyes narrowed slightly.

After building up this prophet persona for so long… it was finally time to put it to use.

Amidst the flattery, Lin Qiye suddenly stopped walking.

The agents behind him were startled and also stopped.

“Have we arrived?” someone asked in confusion.

On the desert gradually sinking into darkness, Lin Qiye turned to look at everyone behind him. His gaze was first somewhat confused, then slowly filled with shock.

He instinctively stepped back, his face full of wariness!

“You all…” Lin Qiye muttered.

Seeing Lin Qiye’s strange behavior, the agents became puzzled.

“What’s wrong with us?”

“Yes, Myers, what happened?”

“Is your intuition working again? Or have you foreseen something?”

Amid everyone’s urgent questioning, Lin Qiye frowned deeply. He rubbed his temple, seemingly conflicted.

“I… suddenly have an ominous feeling.”

Hearing this, everyone’s hearts sank simultaneously.

“What kind of feeling?”

Lin Qiye didn’t answer. He sat down, took out a crystal ball from his pocket, and began to “prophesy” with a solemn expression.

The agents anxiously gathered around Lin Qiye. Under the black sky, only a streak of magical light flickered in the wasteland.

Finally, Lin Qiye put away the crystal ball and looked at the surrounding agents, his expression extremely complex.

“Myers, stop keeping us in suspense. What exactly did you foresee?”

The agents, seeing Lin Qiye’s constantly changing, mysterious expression, felt as uncomfortable as if ants were crawling inside them.

After a moment of silence, Lin Qiye sighed deeply:

“I… saw you all killing each other before the [Holy Grail].”

“Killing each other?!”

The agents immediately frowned.

“I saw us arrive at that oasis, but before we could successfully summon the [Holy Grail], you all suddenly attacked, slaughtering each other.

Blood stained the parched earth red, the entire oasis was reduced to ruins. When finally only a few remained, the [Holy Grail] rose from the black cave, bathed in blood, to fulfill the wishes of those who survived…

They used the lives of the dead agents as sacrifices, wishing to the [Holy Grail] to erase the divine marks within themselves, returning to freedom.”

Lin Qiye’s voice drifted in the cold desert wind, falling on the ears of the many agents like thunderous roars.

Sacrificing lives to the [Holy Grail] to erase the divine marks within themselves?!

This was actually possible!

Everyone’s thoughts turned, and their gazes began to flicker.

Gathering the four “supreme” divine artifacts to slay two deities… though somewhat feasible, the risk was far too great!

If forced to choose between trying to kill deities or killing other agents, anyone in their right mind would definitely choose the latter.

In the dark wasteland, seventeen or eighteen agents simultaneously fell silent. They glanced at each other, and the atmosphere suddenly became subtle.

“Sounds tempting,” Prakash slowly spoke up. “Perhaps everyone present has already considered this possibility, but kept it buried deep down, waiting to make their move when facing the [Holy Grail]…

But now that Myers has revealed this through his prophecy, the future can be changed.”

“That’s right, our ultimate goal is to kill those two deities and escape with the artifacts. We shouldn’t kill each other for personal gain,” someone immediately agreed.

“I also think we should abandon such thoughts and monitor each other.”

“Yes, yes…”

“…”

Their dry laughter echoed in the night.
