Chapter 1194 The Goal of God

Si Xiaonan ranks fifth?

Lin Qiye quickly recalled his battle with Si Xiaonan at Kunlun Void.

Although Si Xiaonan ultimately lost, her strength was indeed greater than Lin Qiye had imagined. Yet among the “Ten Imperial Guards,” she only ranked fifth…

It seems there are formidable individuals among the Mist’s divine proxies.

Who knows if any of the “Ten Imperial Guards” are hiding at this proxy gathering?

After No. 05, other attending proxies asked questions and received tokens in an orderly fashion, though most were trivial matters about finding objects or people that couldn’t capture Lin Qiye’s interest.

Meanwhile, No. 03 and No. 04, whom Lin Qiye had been watching closely, remained sitting quietly, as if they truly came just to observe.

After some time, No. 21 sat down, and No. 22 immediately stood up.

His gaze swept across the room as he calmly said:

“I don’t need anything, but I have a piece of secret information. If anyone is interested, we can trade for something else…”

This approach is possible? Lin Qiye raised his eyebrows in surprise.

The next moment, No. 22’s words made his expression change dramatically.

“Does anyone know about the most ancient hero king… Gilgamesh?”

Upon hearing this, not only Lin Qiye but also the previously motionless No. 03 and No. 09 simultaneously looked up at No. 22, their eyes narrowing slightly.

Lin Qiye caught this detail.

After a brief pause, No. 22 continued, “While traveling through the Mist, I found the entrance to the legendary King’s Treasury left behind by the hero king Gilgamesh… Those interested in this location can trade with me privately.”

Lin Qiye’s mind shook!

Gilgamesh’s King’s Treasury?

He had read about this in the archives of “Utopia.” It was Gilgamesh’s most important possession, but after his natural death and burial, the Treasury’s whereabouts became unknown.

Now, someone had found it?

Lin Qiye felt no joy at this news; instead, his brow furrowed deeper.

Gilgamesh’s condition in the hospital had suddenly deteriorated recently, with someone tampering with his memories in the outside world. And now the lost King’s Treasury happens to resurface during this time…

Could there be some connection between these events?

The central hall remained silent, with no one raising their hand.

From their reactions, it seemed not many knew of Gilgamesh’s existence, as he had died countless ages ago. And as for this so-called treasury… who knew what it contained?

The vast majority of proxies were unaware of the King’s Treasury’s value.

In the crowd, No. 03 and No. 04 exchanged glances, and after a moment, No. 04 slowly raised his hand.

Lin Qiye, sitting in the corner, also raised his hand.

No. 03 turned slightly, glancing at Lin Qiye. Their gazes met across half the hall.

Cold sweat formed on Lin Qiye’s forehead.

Though that gaze carried no divine power, Lin Qiye felt as if he’d been spotted by a venomous snake, sending chills down his spine.

No. 01, standing in the corner, flicked his finger, and two “22” silver coins landed in their hands. Only then did No. 03 withdraw his gaze and turn away.

Lin Qiye stared at the figures of No. 03 and No. 04, his expression beneath the hood growing increasingly grim.

These two deities were working together.

And their target for coming here… was almost certainly Gilgamesh’s King’s Treasury!

For Lin Qiye, this was undoubtedly bad news. The more people targeting this treasury, the harder it would be for him to investigate the cause of Gilgamesh’s illness.

Was there any way to create trouble for these two deities…

Lin Qiye’s mind raced.

After No. 22, the questioning continued. When No. 27 stood up, Lin Qiye’s attention was drawn again.

Could this deity also be targeting Gilgamesh’s King’s Treasury?

As Lin Qiye pondered, No. 27 slowly spoke:

“Has anyone seen a red-haired girl, about 5’7″… her name is Chloe.”

Dead silence fell over the hall.

After a long while, someone sighed, “You again… isn’t this the fifth time you’ve asked this question at a gathering? It’s been five years, haven’t you found her yet?”

No. 27 said nothing. He just stood there silently, his gaze sweeping over everyone, seemingly still waiting for someone to raise their hand and answer his question.

“No. 27, you may sit down now.”

Seeing his reluctance to sit, No. 01 at the edge of the hall spoke up.

Only then did he finally give up, sitting down dejectedly.

“His only purpose is to find someone?” Lin Qiye murmured to himself. “What kind of person would require searching at a proxy gathering… isn’t he a god?”

From the current situation, this No. 27, though also a deity disguised as a proxy, was not allied with No. 03 and No. 04, and his target was not Gilgamesh’s King’s Treasury.

As proxies continued to stand and sit, the sequence quickly approached Lin Qiye’s turn.

After No. 32 sat down, Lin Qiye stood up in the corner under everyone’s gaze after a few seconds.

Most proxies had a strong impression of Lin Qiye’s earlier dragon-riding entrance. They examined this flamboyant newcomer with curious eyes.

“I want to know the whereabouts of the Daxia Sword Immortal,” Lin Qiye stated concisely.

Upon hearing this, most of the proxies furrowed their brows in confusion.

“I know,” No. 17 raised his hand from the crowd.

“I know too.”

No. 03 glanced at Lin Qiye and also raised his hand.

Him?

Lin Qiye’s heart sank…

No. 01 flicked his finger, and two silver coins fell into Lin Qiye’s hand as tokens for the upcoming information exchange.

“No. 33, you may sit down now,” No. 01 reminded.

“I have one more thing.”

Instead of sitting down, Lin Qiye scanned the hall, narrowing his eyes,

“I also have a piece of information. If anyone is interested, they can trade with me…”

Lin Qiye paused, his voice clearly echoing throughout the central hall:

“I know the whereabouts of the Dual-God Proxy from Daxia.”

“!”

Nearly half of the forty proxies present immediately looked up, staring intently at Lin Qiye, their eyes filled with surprise.

“Is it that Lin Qiye?”

“The Dual-God Proxy? Isn’t he in Daxia?”

“Even if we know the Dual-God Proxy is in Daxia, we can’t do anything about it.”

“…”

Several people spoke in succession, causing rare commotion in the venue.

“Quiet,” No. 01 frowned as he spoke.

“Lin Qiye is no longer in Daxia. He has entered the Mist,” Lin Qiye said with a slight smile.

“And I… might be the only one who knows his whereabouts.”
