Chapter 1034 Lower Immortal District
Lin Qiye and the other two entered the venue, walking up the steps one by one.
“Among all the immortal gatherings, the Peach Banquet has the most rules,” said the Jade Pure One as they walked, explaining to Lin Qiye. “All guests participating in the banquet must be seated according to their seniority and status. The entire venue is divided into three areas: upper immortals, middle immortals, and lower immortals, with corresponding types of peaches.
The peaches of the Jade Pool are classified into three levels: those that ripen once every three thousand years, six thousand years, and nine thousand years.
The lower immortals area serves the small peaches that ripen once every three thousand years, which strengthen the body and extend lifespan;
The middle immortals area serves ordinary peaches that ripen once every six thousand years, which can greatly advance one’s cultivation and enlightenment;
The upper immortals area serves large peaches that ripen once every nine thousand years, which can make one immortal, with longevity equal to the sun and moon… but only the Queen Mother, the Jade Emperor, the Three Pure Ones, and a few others can eat these.”
Hearing this, Lin Qiye couldn’t help but ask, “Which area should we sit in?”
“As a disciple under the Heavenly Venerable, by seniority and cultivation, I should sit in the middle immortals area, as should the Purple Subtlety Star Lord. As for you…” the Jade Pure One paused, then honestly said,
“In terms of seniority, you are Sun Wukong’s disciple, and your cultivation is still weak, so you can only sit in the lower immortals area… and at the end of the lower immortals section at that. Even if you get a peach, it will be the smallest peach with the lowest age.”
Lin Qiye’s face showed an “as expected” expression.
Even the Twelve Golden Immortals like the Jade Pure One could only sit in the middle immortals area. As Sun Wukong’s disciple, he indeed should sit in the lower immortals area by seniority… if Sun Wukong hadn’t achieved enlightenment and become the Victorious Fighting Buddha, he probably wouldn’t even qualify to sit at the Peach Banquet.
“But don’t worry, my disciple is also in the lower immortals area. I’ve already sent him a message, and he has some connection with your master, so he will look after you.”
After saying this, the Jade Pure One went to the middle immortals area with the Purple Subtlety Star Lord.
Lin Qiye sighed, scanning the venue until he quickly found the location of the lower immortals area and walked straight toward it.
Overall, the lower immortals area was actually the largest, occupying nearly two-thirds of the seats at the Peach Banquet, and most of those seated there were unfamiliar deities whose names Lin Qiye couldn’t recall.
The Peach Banquet was about to begin, and only a few seats remained in the lower immortals area.
Lin Qiye consciously targeted the seats at the very end and walked directly toward them. Just then, a voice drifted over from the first seat in the lower immortals area as he passed by:
“Are you Lin Qiye, the one my master mentioned?”
Lin Qiye’s footsteps paused.
This voice… seemed somewhat familiar?
He turned around and saw a young man wearing silver battle robes sitting behind the carved stone table, holding a cup with an expressionless face.
On his forehead, a vertical eye remained closed, below which was a pair of sharp, sword-like eyebrows. Those eyes glanced coldly at Lin Qiye as he put down his cup and patted the vacant second seat of the lower immortals area beside him.
He spoke flatly:
“No need to go elsewhere, sit next to me… With me here, no one will dare trouble you.”
The moment Lin Qiye clearly saw his face, he felt as if struck by heavenly lightning, his mind going completely blank!
…
In front of the unguarded ancient doorway, four figures walked out one after another.
Singh stood on the ground, looking around at the surrounding floating mountains and the spiritual herbs and divine birds scattered throughout, a hint of joy appearing in his eyes.
“Such rich divine energy… This is Kunlun Void of Great Xia, without a doubt.”
“The environment here is indeed very different from the outside. It should be an independent small world,” Si Xiaonan nodded slightly.
“The Great Xia mythology is the only pantheon in the world that possesses two divine realms. Besides the Heavenly Court, which can freely travel through the mortal world, the deities of Great Xia also have a hidden divine realm in the heartland of Great Xia… that is Kunlun Void,” Singh said softly.
“Few in the world know of Kunlun Void’s existence, and its location is absolutely classified.
If not for the combined efforts of that person from my Divine Temple, your Asgard’s Queen, and Olympus’s God of Prophecy breaking through the Heavenly Venerable’s blockade and tearing open a corner of Great Xia’s cosmic secrets, we might never have discovered Kunlun Void’s location.”
“But now that we’ve entered Kunlun Void, uncovering the secrets of the Great Xia deities will be as easy as turning over our palms.”
Singh’s eyes flickered with light, then, as if remembering something, he looked around in confusion, “But… shouldn’t Gaia’s agent have entered before us? Why don’t we see him?”
“Perhaps he went ahead first,” Si Xiaonan replied. “And there don’t seem to be any Great Xia deities here… Could they not be here?”
Singh shook his head,
“After annihilating Takamagahara, the Great Xia deities would either hide in Kunlun Void to recover if severely wounded, or if casualties were light, they would secretly gather strength here to prepare for battle against our four divine realms…
If it’s the latter, our divine realms can only adopt a conservative strategy, advancing steadily against Great Xia. But if it’s the former… we can send word back to our divine realms to launch a lightning war, capturing all the severely wounded Great Xia deities in one swoop.”
“Those Great Xia deities must be hiding somewhere in Kunlun Void. If we can find them, we can determine the course of this war!” Singh spread his arms, a smile appearing at the corners of his mouth. “Now, the most crucial turning point of this divine war rests with us.”
Hearing this, a barely perceptible killing intent flashed in An Qingyu’s eyes.
He glanced at Si Xiaonan, who slightly shook her head at him and discreetly pointed at Leng Xuan’s right hand.
Leng Xuan understandingly pulled up his sleeve, revealing the strange ear growing on the back of his hand.
A gray light flashed in An Qingyu’s eyes as he analyzed it for a moment, then his expression grew solemn.
“There seems to be some sound coming from that highest peak,” Singh raised his head, looking toward the Jade Pool above. “Let’s go check it out.”
His form flickered, turning into a black streak as he rapidly carried the three toward the summit.
Amidst the howling wind, Si Xiaonan brushed aside the hair by her ear and turned to look at An Qingyu beside her.
“Xiao An,” she gave An Qingyu a look, indicating that he should pay attention to her palm, then touched her nose with her hand. “Look, the sky here is red.”
An Qingyu was startled and looked up at the blue sky overhead, his brow slightly furrowing.
Then, Si Xiaonan lowered her hand and solemnly said, “But the sky should be blue.”
An Qingyu was stunned for half a second before quickly understanding Si Xiaonan’s code. He smiled, reached out, and touched his own nose:
“Yes, the sky here is red… how strange.”
