Chapter 87: The "Destruction Dragon" Scout

Lin Mo had just damaged a large area of high-quality heavy ant wood flooring worth tens of thousands, but his strength was well-controlled, preventing any embarrassing moments for Natasha as the sofa did not topple over.

Natasha, still shaken, gasped lightly, her chest rising and falling with captivating swells, flaunting her feminine allure even at this moment. That enchantress did not forget to leverage her feminine charms.

Lin Mo chose to ignore it! Being so easily enticed was how the Dragon Knight Corps of the Su Lan Empire had been wiped out countless times by enemies using similar methods.

What terrifying power! Absolute strength overwhelming all technique. Was this Kazakh boy’s talent? If he enhanced his killer techniques, he could become a humanoid terminator!

Suppressing the turmoil within, Natasha seemed to disregard what had just happened. With a playful laugh, she rose and gracefully walked toward Lin Mo. This woman was no slouch; she surprisingly recovered in such a short time.

“You’re an impressive young Kazakh! Well, how about you stay by my side as my guard?” Natasha seemed to take a liking to this young man overpowering her in close combat, as if she had stumbled upon a treasure.

“Yes!” Lin Mo’s practiced, simple Russian sounded decent enough. Judging by Natasha’s expression, he felt he could at least guess her intentions.

“Alright, you don’t need to go back now. Just choose a room here and be on call. Tonight, come with me to meet Colonel Yahann Frank. Hehe, I originally didn’t want to go, but now that I see you, I think Colonel Frank would be very eager to meet you,” Natasha seemed to have thought of a clever plan and smiled lightly.

Among the senior leaders of the Red Scorpion, the military aspect was managed by the female commander, Natasha, and the deputy commander, Colonel Yahann Frank. For some time, Yahann Frank had been eyeing the alluring blonde commander, but for reasons unknown, Natasha always kept her distance, never letting Yahann gain any advantage. Thus far, no man had been allowed into her inner circle.

“…” Lin Mo appeared confused. With the complexities involved, he did not understand and could only remain silent.

“Kler, take this young Kazakh brother to settle in first. Find someone to help him get dressed nicely; tonight I’m having dinner with Colonel Frank,” Natasha disregarded Lin Mo’s reaction and instructed her subordinate to take him to get settled.

Even though Lin Mo was quickly brought into the ranks of the Red Scorpion’s elite guard, that did not mean he could act freely. The Red Scorpion maintained a strategy of being strict internally while appearing relaxed externally. The old Lone Wolf, Yakov, had warned Lin Mo about this; otherwise, the Red Scorpion would have been wiped out many times over. As such, Lin Mo did not touch any of the Red Scorpion’s bottom lines until he fully understood the situation. He complied with whatever arrangements the Red Scorpion made, appearing obedient and obediently following orders.

To investigate the entire Aysulu region where the Red Scorpion was based and locate their airport, Lin Mo had previously dispatched Yakov and his trusted aide to scout and map out the area. Now that Lin Mo had been chosen for the Red Scorpion’s elite guard, he no longer needed to reside in a crowded dormitory like everyone else. Instead, he had the chance to send the gold giant dragon on reconnaissance or sabotage missions.

In a world filled with metal, the gold element giant dragon, known as the "Dragon of Slaughter," might need to be renamed the "Dragon of Destruction," given its unparalleled ability to destroy metal products.

As night fell over the entire Aysulu basin, Lin Mo discreetly flicked his left wrist. An awkwardly crafted black bracelet fell to the ground, but instead of the usual crisp sound, it splattered like a puddle of glue, writhing and changing shape as if it were alive.

“Gold Coin, go investigate the airport’s location. If you find anything, come back quickly, and don’t expose yourself,” Lin Mo conveyed through their soul contract, knowing the room had a bug—it was something Gold Coin had told him. This creature had a remarkable sensitivity to electronic devices, capable of acting like a detector.

The pool of black, liquefied metal shook, extending into a thin line that directed itself toward the power socket on the room’s floor. It aimed for the port, darting in and sparking lightly before vanishing without a trace, like a fish returning to the sea; any metallic object was an ocean to the gold giant dragon.

Lin Mo did not possess 007-style espionage skills but had universal equipment that 007 lacked. Without the assistance of the gold giant dragon, he would face significant challenges in this mission.

The door to Lin Mo’s shared dormitory swung open, revealing Natasha’s other guard, a muscular Russian man covered in muscle knots. He coldly instructed Lin Mo, “Morin! We’re leaving!” His perpetually expressionless face carried no emotion. This muscular man was not only Natasha’s personal guard but also the captain of the elite guard.

The Russian muscle man handed Lin Mo a bulletproof vest; another major responsibility of the elite guard was to shield the higher-ups of the Red Scorpion from bullets.

“Sure!” Lin Mo always kept his responses concise and to the point, leading others to believe his language barrier was less significant.

Natasha lived in a luxurious building resembling a royal palace. It was one of the finest mansions in the Aysulu basin, a unique luxury for several high-ranking leaders and their business affiliates. Aysulu had excellent air defense, boasting several air defense and interception missiles acquired from the black market, making it resistant to airborne assassination attempts. Coupled with the natural desert terrain and proximity to other armed organizations, the Republic of Kazakhstan’s government had not considered using a strong offensive approach to eliminate these splinter factions operating outside of its control.

A luxurious, bulletproof Bentley awaited in front of Natasha’s mansion, where Lin Mo noticed Natasha in a stunning black evening gown stepping into the vehicle.

“I’m Ivan! Follow me!” The muscular Russian man handed Lin Mo a wireless earpiece and a narrow triangular military dagger, leading the way to a black Mercedes parked behind the Bentley. Both the Bentley and the Mercedes had armored Hummers loaded with four armed soldiers as protection.

This did not seem like a dinner party; it looked more like a full-scale assault.

Inside the Mercedes, there were only Ivan and Lin Mo. Ivan drove while Lin Mo sat in the co-pilot’s seat. Currently, the Red Scorpion had not fully trusted him, so they had only taken away his AK and had not issued a handgun. Instead, he had only received a sheathed military dagger, probably because they valued his close-combat skills.

Ivan was not much of a talker. Lin Mo silently observed the surroundings as they drove in the Mercedes, following the black bulletproof Bentley. They exchanged no words, except for occasional reports relayed through the wireless earpiece from personnel clearing the way ahead. Even in their own lair, the leaders of the Red Scorpion remained cautious, as there were forces eager to take their lives beyond just their “good neighbors.”

This was Lin Mo’s first time in a vehicle, curiously observing the Red Scorpion’s stronghold. The Aysulu residential area encircled the only lake in the basin. The plentiful water source, coupled with meticulously maintained greenery, made Aysulu resemble an outdoor leisure tourist city. Thanks to the strong management by the Red Scorpion’s upper echelon, the streets were free from dangerous individuals who might randomly open fire; it was quite quiet. Although pedestrians occasionally carried weapons, accidental discharges were rare. The security team dealt with those who fired indiscriminately by dragging them to the wall for target practice.

The bustling shops along the roads were frequented by three types of people: businessmen, brokers, and mercenaries. A glance around showed people from various ethnicities interacting amiably, despite the ongoing enmities reported in the news. Here, animosity was merely a political necessity; wherever there were interests, even Hitler and Churchill could sit down and play "Cat Fishing" (a type of card game).

Gun shops were prevalent along the streets, with open sales, and countless family-run gun manufacturing workshops formed the Red Scorpion’s arms production system. They also had their own legitimate production lines. Additionally, shops openly sold drugs like heroin, cocaine, crystal meth, and ecstasy—strictly controlled contraband in the outside world sold openly here, serving as a significant economic source for the Red Scorpion.

Raw materials like steel were transported in to be manufactured into firearms and ammunition, sold through various channels for immense profits. Aysulu’s prosperity was built upon the wealth generated by the Red Scorpion.

Occasionally, one could spot strange little pockmarks on the exterior walls of buildings; these were traces left by bullets that had shot up into the sky and fallen back down. The sounds of gunfire echoed in the unified shooting range, and arms dealers wandered the streets looking for their regular business partners to negotiate deals.

New faces wishing to enter the area required at least three familiar faces to accompany them; otherwise, they would be ignored. This was for security reasons, which made it quite challenging for outsiders to infiltrate.

The windows of the Mercedes were wide open. Lin Mo appeared bored, gazing at the scenery while quietly memorizing everything he passed, mentally sketching a rough map of the area. Regardless of its eventual usefulness, opportunities favored those who prepared.

The rest depended on how he would coordinate with his contacts for actions after infiltrating the airport. If there was a need to draw the attention of the Red Scorpion, that task would be handled by someone else.

Suddenly, a group brushed past Lin Mo’s convoy. Among them, two women dressed like fierce bandits chatted loudly with the men around them, who carried guns. One of the women gave a casual glance toward the convoy. Her eyes met Lin Mo’s in the air.

Both Lin Mo and that woman instinctively narrowed their pupils, as if pretending not to see each other, and coincidentally turned away.
