    Chapter 541: Token Lords Meeting

"Alright~" Hearing Old Bird’s words, Fang Lie nodded in satisfaction. "No time to waste. I’ll go ask the Sect Leader to hand over those treasures immediately. The Celestial Platform Competition is in two years—I need time to master them!"

"Go on," Old Bird urged. "Be firm! If Mo Qianxun refuses, tell him to face me. I’ll deal with him!"

"Understood!" Fang Lie grinned, leaving his secret room. With a flap of his wings, he soared toward the Mo family.

An hour later, he found Mo Qianxun sipping tea in a pavilion.

The Sect Leader sighed. "A night owl at my door—trouble follows you."

"Cut the act," Fang Lie snorted. "You know why I’m here."

"Bold words!" Mo Qianxun chuckled. "Should I punish you for disrespecting your Sect Leader?"

"Try," Fang Lie said, plopping into a chair. "Everyone who could punish me has ascended. You lack the qualifications."

Mo Qianxun’s face stiffened. He remembered Fang Lie’s status as the Benevolence Token Lord candidate—untouchable by sect laws.

"I’m the unluckiest Mo Sect Leader," he muttered. "Stuck with a troublemaker like you."

"Trouble?" Fang Lie smirked. "You’ll be remembered as the leader who transformed Mo Sect into the greatest faction, surpassing even Xuan Sect!"

Mo Qianxun’s eyes flickered. Fang Lie wasn’t wrong. In three short years, the youth had uprooted corruption, empowered low-ranking disciples, and broken the family clans’ stranglehold on resources. If this continued, Mo Sect’s glory would eclipse all others—and history would immortalize Mo Qianxun’s name.

"Name your demands," the Sect Leader relented.

"The Purple Gold Ruyi Shield first."

"Greedy brat!" Mo Qianxun laughed. "That shield was forged by Mo Ancestor himself using Immortal materials. Several elders covet it, but lack the Major Merits to claim it. Taking it will make enemies."

"Let them try me," Fang Lie scoffed.

    "Very well. Anything else?"

"The Space-Calming Bead and Secret Technique Strange Snake."

Mo Qianxun nearly choked. "How do you know about those? They’re Secret Vault treasures!"

"Bird Bro told me. Punish him if you dare."

"Damn that bird!" Mo Qianxun groaned. "The Secret Vault only opens during existential crises. Even I can’t access it without approval from four Token Lords using Ancestor’s Tokens."

"Not my problem," Fang Lie said cheerfully. "Get them."

"You—!" Mo Qianxun massaged his temples. "I’ll consult the others. If they refuse, blame the rules."

Closing his eyes, the Sect Leader sank into silent communication.

Fang Lie knew the severity of the situation and dared not cause disturbances. He immediately sat down to focus on his cultivation.

In a special Secret Realm, a Shadow suddenly materialized beside a round table—it was Mo Qianxun’s soul-attached clone.

Picking up a wooden stick from the table, he lightly struck a copper bell three times before setting the stick down to wait silently.

Not long after, three more Shadows appeared—the other three Token Lords.

Clearly, this was where the Mo Sect’s Four Token Lords convened meetings through their soul-attached clones.

Upon arrival, the three newcomers stared at Mo Qianxun with puzzled expressions. Huo Wufang, the Token Lord of the Righteousness Token, blurted out, "Sect Leader, has something happened? Why summon us so abruptly?"

"Fang Lie demands two treasures from the Secret Vault—the Space-Calming Bead and the Secret Technique Strange Snake," Mo Qianxun stated bluntly.

"What? That’s unacceptable! It violates sect rules!"

    "Sheer delusion!"

"What gives him that right?" the three Token Lords protested in unison.

Mo Qianxun explained the bet: "I assumed he’d never win the Celestial Platform Competition. Lending him the treasures would’ve been temporary—they’d be returned eventually, and we’d gain three blood clones. A massive benefit for the Mo Sect! But the brat demanded treasures from the Secret Vault instead, cornering me!"

"Fang Lie? Defeating top disciples from other sects? He’s gotten arrogant from minor achievements!"

"If it’s temporary, why fuss? They’ll be returned in two years anyway."

"But rules are rules! Sect regulations aren’t jokes!"

"Special circumstances demand exceptions! He’ll lose regardless. Rejecting him wastes the Sect Leader’s bet—we’d lose three golden geese!"

"And if he wins? Or dies with our treasures? Who answers for lost Secret Vault items?"

"Unlikely scenarios! Even if defeated or killed, the Sect Leader would safeguard the treasures. Who’d dare steal under his watch?"

"Better cautious! History shows treasures disappearing during Celestial Platform Competitions!"

"Ridiculous! Those were flukes when treasures got banished to void spaces—a once-in-millennia occurrence. Why assume we’ll suffer it?"

As the three Immortals argued heatedly, a voice cut through: "Enough!"

A seven-colored Giant Rooster materialized atop the table.

The four Token Lords froze. This Secret Realm was accessible only to their soul-attached clones—how had an intruder breached it?

If secrets were overheard… The implications horrified them as they glared at the rooster.

After scrutiny, Mo Qianxun ventured cautiously, "Bird Bro?"

"Address me as Bird Bro!" the creature snapped. "None of that ‘sir’ nonsense!"

Recognition dawned on the others. All four rose instantly, bowing deeply. "Greetings, Senior!"

This was Old Bird—the Ninth-Rank Treasure’s item spirit who’d served Mo Ancestor. As the Mo Sect’s guardian deity, his status dwarfed theirs.

Old Bird nodded imperiously. "Listen well. Opening the Secret Vault for Fang Lie was my decree. Obey it."

"But Senior," the Brave Token Lord objected, "sect rules require unanimous consent from all Four Token Lords. You alone can’t—"

"Hah!" Old Bird scoffed. "You think your opinions matter here? Follow orders, or I’ll replace the Brave Token Lord."

The Brave Token Lord paled. His predecessor had been deposed by Old Bird—he knew this threat was real.

The others tensed, sensing the warning applied to them all.

Huo Wufang, the hot-blooded Token Lord of the Righteousness Token, growled, "Senior, even as the Benevolence Token Lord, you can’t arbitrarily remove us!"

"Indeed!" the Faith Token Lord added. "You must abide by sect rules!"
