    Chapter 504: Sect Leader Withdraws

"Your Great Thunder Sound Temple truly has no shame!" Fang Lie shouted angrily. "Who decided Buddhist treasures must belong to you? Then why haven’t you returned the Tao Sect relics or our Mo Sect’s mechanical beasts?"

White Lotus Chan Master’s face flushed red as he retorted, "Buddhist treasures belong to the Buddhist sects. As for Tao Sect items, we’ll return them when the opportunity arises! But those are unrelated. Hand over the two treasures, or we won’t help. Watch your Central World fall to the Demonic Realm!"

"Disgusting scoundrels!" Fang Lie spat before whirling toward Mo Qianxun.

Mo Qianxun looked as though he’d swallowed a fly. Fang Lie had entrusted him with negotiations, confident his reputation would ensure success. Yet now, the Great Thunder Sound Temple had made a fool of him!

As sect leader, he’d allowed Fang Lie’s treasures to be squandered. The responsibility fell squarely on his shoulders. Rage darkened his face as he growled at White Lotus, "Is this how the Great Thunder Sound Temple honors agreements?"

White Lotus dared not disrespect the Mo Sect Leader. The original plan had been to secretly undermine Fang Lie over decades, denying involvement if discovered. But Fang Lie’s display of Past King Fist at the Wanxing Sea arena exposed his possession of Chongming Ancient Temple’s secret treasures—publicly humiliating their sect.

Their retaliation against Fang Lie was understandable, but using Mo Qianxun as unwitting accomplice crossed lines. White Lotus produced a Mo Token. "The Great Thunder Sound Temple requests Mo Sect’s non-interference in matters between us and Fang Lie."

Mo Qianxun’s face turned ashen. Centuries ago, the Great Thunder Sound Temple sacrificed seven Thunder Tribulation Immortals and their Semi-Immortal leader to save Mo Sect from demonic siege. This token represented that blood debt.

"You’d waste this historic favor for mere treasures?" Mo Qianxun hissed.

"The Wonderful Bodhi Tree and Past King Fist’s golden scripture are worth any price," White Lotus replied.

With trembling hands, Mo Qianxun accepted the token. "The Mo Sect shall not interfere… this once. Harm Fang Lie again, and we’ll repay your ‘kindness’ tenfold."

He turned to Fang Lie. "My hands are tied. Betraying ancestral vows isn’t an option."

"Sutra-chanting lunatics!" Fang Lie sneered. "Trading a Mo Token for empty posturing? I care nothing for some Central World. The Fang Family doesn’t yield to extortion!"

White Lotus paled. The Fang were notorious for choosing destruction over compromise.

"Let the Central World rot!" Fang Lie stormed toward the exit. "You’ll get nothing!"

Panicked, White Lotus blocked his path. "This helps no one! We’ll settle for scripture copies—"

"No." Fang Lie’s voice froze the air. "Your sect’s treachery taught me this—never bargain with oathbreakers."

"Where will you house your Demon Domain army then?" White Lotus bluffed.

Mo Qianxun stepped forward. "My personal world will shelter them rent-free until we secure Fang Lie a new Central World within three years. The Mo Sect honors its debts."

White Lotus’s eye twitched. "That ‘treasure’ we offered appears but once a century. Miss this chance…"

"Leave." Fang Lie didn’t look back. "The Fang would rather lose everything than let thieves profit."

As White Lotus departed, Mo Qianxun sighed. "That token could’ve demanded far greater concessions. Why target you?"

Fang Lie’s grin held winter’s edge. "Because they fear what I’ll become. Let them. My path forward needs no crumbling Central Worlds."
