Chapter 510: Storming the Blue Serpent

    Cuide hesitated.

Yet when Midi’s lips curled into a cold smirk and the suffocating Dragon’s might radiated from him again, the man finally broke.

“It’s the Water Spider Tribe,” Cuide muttered through bloodied lips, his mouth missing half its teeth. “They allied with us long ago.”

“Water Spider? Killing their Great Warrior wasn’t enough, it seems.” Midi’s gaze sharpened. “They’re nearby, aren’t they?”

The questions kept coming, each word laced with an aura that crushed resistance. Cuide cracked, confessing the Water Spider Tribe’s forces were hiding in the Blue Serpent Tribe’s cavern—a mere ten hours’ journey away.

    Just as Midi had guessed.

Though the Blue Serpent Tribe once overpowered the Wolfspider Tribe, their strength had dwindled. They couldn’t have encircled the Wolfspider Tribe alone.

As for the Water Spider Tribe—defeated at the bonfire gathering, their Great Warrior Ulhan and his brother Uday slain by Midi—such a large tribe wouldn’t collapse from losing two men.

The puppet master behind them? Midi already knew.

    The Death Scorpion.

After the Crystal Dragon Fortress trial, the Death Scorpion’s forces lay in ruins, too broken to challenge Midi now. But with internal chaos plaguing them, the Water Spider and Blue Serpent Tribes hadn’t received orders to back off. Instead, they kept harassing the Wolfspider Tribe.

Delayed information caused this mess. Had news of Midi’s triumph in the trial reached these tribes, none would dare attack.

But Midi wasn’t about to spare them for pleading ignorance. Not after they’d targeted Galantis—the one person he’d protect at all costs.

Facing these Death Scorpion pawns, only one solution remained:

Kill them all. Root out every last threat.

Midi turned to Hawke with a nod, then kicked Cuide forward.

“Lead us to the Blue Serpent Tribe. Now.” Midi’s voice froze the air. “Time for Midi Asreks to… greet your chieftain and those Water Spider rats.”

“What?” Galantis blinked. Charging into the enemy’s stronghold with so few? Even Midi couldn’t fight a whole tribe alone—especially with Water Spider reinforcements.

    “He’ll manage,” Hawke said flatly.

Those from the Death Scorpion family knew Midi’s strength firsthand. He’d wiped out the combined forces of the Death Scorpion and Two-Headed Warwolf. What threat were tribes with mere Level 63-64 fighters?

“You’re—” Recognition dawned on Galantis as she studied the Death Scorpion’s martial arts master.

Hope flickered in the priestess’s eyes. With a Level 65 warrior like Hawke here, maybe this mad plan could work.

However, why did this highly esteemed martialial arts master address Midi as "my lord"?

A flicker of confusion passed through Galantis’s mind before she immediately spoke up, "Then we’ll go together! Of course… if we won’t slow you down…"

Galantis wanted to assist Midi, but feared the Wolfspider Tribe’s low-level members might become burdens. Yet Midi didn’t refuse her proposal, merely smiling. "Since everyone’s suffered humiliation from Blue Serpent and Water Spider because of me, it’s good they witness how I handle this."

_Do they truly believe the Water Spider Tribe is so easily dealt with?_

Cuide sneered inwardly. He desperately hoped Midi’s group would charge blindly into Blue Serpent’s cavern. Not only had the Blue Serpent family head reached Level 64 with Water Spider’s help, but the Water Spider delegation included multiple Level 64 elders. Even Midi couldn’t prevail against several Level 64 experts on enemy terrain.

Cuide stopped speaking and rose obediently, feigning fearful submission as he led the way. The Blue Serpent contingent contained numerous elite members. During the march, many warriors quietly slipped away to warn their tribe. Midi noticed but pretended otherwise.

Through telepathy, his psychic scan revealed these warriors still harbored rebellious defiance beneath their surface fear. They weren’t fleeing – they were preparing battle. Midi let them go, preferring to eliminate all resistance at once rather than hunt stragglers later.

The group reached Blue Serpent’s cavern within half a day. Tunnel guards showed no surprise upon seeing them, immediately retreating to sound alarms.

"Just walk in like this?" Galantis asked nervously despite Master Hawke’s presence.

    "Just like this," Midi nodded.

Hawke mused wryly. Though appearing as a Level 65 guardian to Midi’s Level 64, he knew the truth – he was merely a bystander. When Midi acted, there’d be no leftovers.

In the cavern’s central plaza, Blue Serpent and Water Spider forces stood arrayed. Cuide abandoned pretense, scrambling to Blue Serpent’s defense formation like a whipped cur.

"So you’re Midi Asreks?" The Blue Serpent Chieftain glared coldly.

"You’re the chieftain? And that’s Water Spider’s third-best warrior?" Midi lazily indicated the highest-level Water Spider member.

The title stung – a mocking reminder that Midi had slain their top warriors Ulhan and Uday.

"I’m Water Spider’s new Great Warrior," the man snapped. "Don’t think I’ll play your games like Ulhan."

"Excellent." Midi smiled. "The more important you are, the better. Everyone here?" His tone suggested he was inquiring about dinner guests.

"Think Death Scorpion backing lets you act unchecked?" The chieftain jeered. "Never imagined you’d walk right into my trap!"

The Water Spider warrior leered at Galantis. "Leave the priestess alive – certain parties want her."

"Of course," the chieftain grinned, licking his lips as warriors surrounded Midi’s group.

Most attackers were Level 62-63 – formidable by tribal standards. When Midi first met Alexis, he’d been Level 63 peak. Now Blue Serpent and Water Spider fielded multiple Level 63 leaders with Level 64 chieftains and elders.

To current Midi, this "might" meant nothing.

"What next?" Hawke asked, though knowing the answer.

"I’ll handle it. This is Wolfspider’s affair." Midi stepped forward.

"I’ll guard the Wolfspiders." Hawke glanced at Galantis, wholly focused on Midi with mixed pride and anxiety.

_Wherever he goes, he entangles with Black Dragon Priestesses,_ Hawke mused. _A veritable priestess magnet!_

    As Hawke pondered, Midi moved.
