Chapter 829: Heavenly Emperor Hong Wu

At the peak of the Celestial Palace in the Immortal Realm!

Heavenly Emperor Hong Wu stood silently, his gaze piercing through layers of space to observe two figures streaking toward him.

"Who dares trespass into the Immortal Realm? Eliminate them!"

The shouts of the celestial guards echoed, followed by a thunderous crash as hundreds of guards were hurled aside, powerless to halt the approaching duo.

"Hong Wu, after ten thousand years, we meet again," boomed the Demon God Emperor as he and Ye Yun landed before Heavenly Emperor Hong Wu.

"Even after all this, you failed to trap us. The life essence born at the dawn of this world remains indomitable—beyond even my power to destroy," Heavenly Emperor Hong Wu turned, his golden dragon robe shimmering, his regal features radiating divine authority.

"You rushed things," Ye Yun remarked calmly.

"Shall I address you as Ye Yun, or as the Sage of Wisdom?" Heavenly Emperor Hong Wu studied him.

"The Sage of Wisdom is gone. Only Ye Yun remains," he replied. "Your impatience undid you. Tens of millennia of scheming against us still fell short."

"How much longer would I need?" Hong Wu tilted his head, amused.

"A hundred thousand years, perhaps. With that time, you could account for every variable, leaving me no chance to reincarnate and return." Ye Yun stood relaxed, hands clasped behind his back.

"Centuries of planning to defeat you two, yet you claim mere moments would suffice to counter me? Is the gap in our wisdom truly so vast?" Hong Wu chuckled, the exchange deceptively cordial.

"At our level, even the slightest difference magnifies beyond measure. A hundred millennia is modest when opposing both of us," Ye Yun countered.

"Yet you believe I idled during your ten-thousand-year suppression? That you can simply reclaim dominance?" Hong Wu’s tone remained light.

"Judge us by your limitations, and you’ll court disappointment. We come prepared—not certain of your demise, but ready to perish with you if needed." Ye Yun’s voice resonated like cosmic law.

"Mutual destruction? We three are the world’s foundation! Our deaths would unravel the Three Realms into chaos!" Hong Wu laughed. "Only these vessels might perish—we ourselves cannot truly die."

"Then why shatter the balance?" The Demon God Emperor frowned. "What purpose in ruling alone when we already govern jointly?"

Hong Wu paused. "Perhaps none. Yet after eons, even gods crave novelty. Mortals bore me—only you two offer worthy challenges."

The Demon God Emperor exchanged a glance with Ye Yun. "Madness. Our conflict could doom all existence!"

"Madness?" Hong Wu’s eyes glinted. "Then why hunt the Hongmeng Ball, Ye Yun? Did you think I wouldn’t notice its absence?"

Ye Yun smiled. From his brow shot black and white light, coalescing into the Heart of Immortals and Demons. "Return," he breathed.

The artifact blazed, yin and yang energies swirling until it transformed—a colorless sphere containing infinite hues, exuding primordial chaos.

"The Hongmeng Ball!" Hong Wu whispered hungrily. "With it, I could transcend this petty cosmos!"

"You’d obliterate trillions to sate your curiosity?" Ye Yun’s voice turned icy. "We’re not their superiors—just vessels holding greater life essence. Their survival sustains ours. Destroy them, and we wither."

Hong Wu’s laughter shook the heavens. "Then I’ll absorb every spark of essence—yours, his, all living souls! Complete, I’ll breach the cosmos’s limits!"

Ye Yun sighed. "So be it."

The Demon God Emperor stepped forward, power flaring.

In that moment, the three pillars of existence unleashed their full might, reality itself quaking before their collision.
