Chapter 424 Do I Care About Those Threats?

A live human fed to sharks!

For the sharks, this was a delightful turn of events. Tired of eating fish day after day, a change of flavor every now and then wasn’t bad at all.

But for Bai Jiaming, who had just fallen into the sea, this was absolutely the most terrifying moment of his life!

The moment he hit the water, he thrashed wildly, desperate to put some distance between himself and the two sharks!

But before he could even manage a few strokes, he felt his thigh clamped in a shark’s jaws at the root!

A wave of agony so intense it defied description engulfed Bai Jiaming completely!

“Ahhh!” He let out a scream that didn’t sound human!

Within another second, he lost all feeling in his lower body!

His entire body was nearly split in two, and great torrents of blood erupted from below his waist!

The second shark decided to join in on the fun. It opened its massive jaws and bit clean through Bai Jiaming’s right shoulder, tearing away half his ribcage along with it!

Since his heart and head were still intact, Bai Jiaming remained conscious, able to watch with perfect clarity as the sharks ripped his body apart!

The thought of suicide, something that had never once crossed his mind before, finally surfaced in that moment!

As a member of a side branch of the Bai family, Bai Jiaming had enjoyed his share of power and privilege, throwing his weight around as he pleased. He had always assumed he would coast through life in comfort, but right now, he truly felt he had lived far too long!

As if heaven had heard his thoughts, it didn’t make him wait long. A third shark swam over and swallowed what remained of his body whole!

And so Bai Jiaming watched helplessly as the shark’s steel-like teeth closed around his head!

The next second, he would no longer have any awareness at all, for his entire skull had been reduced to a red-and-white paste, mixing with shattered bone fragments as it flowed into the shark’s belly!

At that same moment, Su Rui was gripping Jiang Linhao by the throat, hauling half his body over the railing!

“Ahh! Ahh! Please let me go, please let me go! I don’t want to die, I really don’t want to die!”

Jiang Linhao screamed hysterically. The gruesome deaths of his companions had completely shattered his nerves, filling every inch of him with terror!

“If you didn’t want to die, why did you do so many things that were begging for death? When you committed those acts of depravity, you should have been prepared to face punishment!”

Su Rui said coldly, “I can only imagine how many women you’ve tormented over the years. Today, I’ll settle it all at once!”

With that, Su Rui straightened his arm, leaving Jiang Linhao’s entire body dangling outside the railing!

The commotion here was significant, and some passengers and crew members had already spotted what was happening from a distance. None of them had ever witnessed a public killing before. Although these men all deserved to die, would Su Rui killing them privately like this be against the law?

For a moment, those onlookers had no idea what to do.

After Su Rui finished speaking, he turned and glanced toward the deck. His icy gaze swept over them, and the handful of people watching immediately ducked their heads back out of sight, their hearts pounding wildly!

“Will he remember our faces and come after us one by one? Or throw us into the sea to feed the sharks?”

At that thought, the witnesses all turned and bolted back to their cabins, not daring to linger a second longer!

Back in their cabins, they dead-bolted their doors, and only then did they feel the slightest bit of relief. Replaying the killing that had taken place on the deck, they still felt as though they were dreaming!

“Your companions have already been swallowed by the sharks. Go keep them company. As for whether the Jiang family will come after me, that’s not for you to worry about.”

With that, Su Rui let go!

Jiang Linhao dropped in free fall, slamming hard into the surface of the sea!

The three sharks had been waiting eagerly for a long time. Each clamped onto a different part of him and tore Jiang Linhao into three pieces!

Watching the churning blood and shredded clothing on the surface of the water, Su Rui glanced at Zhang Ziwei, “Feel better?”

Zhang Ziwei nodded, then shook her head, “Honestly, seeing something like this… it’s a little hard to take.”

Su Rui understood. Even someone accustomed to killing would find their stomach turning at the sight of sharks tearing a living person apart. The fact that Zhang Ziwei was holding up as well as she was made her all the more remarkable.

Seeing Zhang Ziwei stumble, Su Rui quickly stepped forward to steady her, preventing her from falling.

“Are you alright?”

“My legs have gone numb.” Zhang Ziwei said helplessly.

It wasn’t just her legs that were numb. She had almost no strength left in her body at all. Her nerves had been wound so tight the whole time that she hadn’t felt it, but the moment she finally let her guard down, she could barely hold herself up.

And with that stumble, Zhang Ziwei could no longer keep holding the torn pieces of her dress together. Half the skirt slipped from her shoulder, exposing nearly all of her shapely upper body.

“Ah!”

Zhang Ziwei let out a soft cry and reached to pull the torn dress back up, but Su Rui shook his head with a smile.

His eyes didn’t linger on the view of Zhang Ziwei’s chest. Instead, he slipped one hand behind her back and the other under the bend of her knees, and lifted her up horizontally into his arms!

Zhang Ziwei let out another soft cry. Her face flushed crimson, and her already weakened body went even more limp!

Being held like this by Su Rui, she felt her heart pounding like a startled deer, thudding away without stop!

For her sake, this man had risked his own life, flying a plane all the way to the East to crash into the Yamamoto building. When he saw her being harassed, he had killed without a second thought, not the least bit concerned about the trouble it might bring. One thing after another, each one so extraordinary, each one so breathtaking, each one enough to make a person fall completely for him!

Gazing at Su Rui’s profile and recalling the fury he had shown for her sake just moments ago, Zhang Ziwei truly felt as though she were drunk.

Even though she knew that she and Su Rui were from completely different worlds, that their stories should never have intersected, that they existed in entirely parallel spaces, the more clearly she understood all of this, the less she could stop herself from falling for him!

Zhang Ziwei also knew that Su Rui had many close female companions around him. While her looks and figure were certainly above average, compared to the women who surrounded him, she couldn’t help but feel she fell a little short. Perhaps he only saw her as an ordinary friend, but she didn’t want to be just an ordinary friend to him.

With her smooth long hair, large bright eyes, and a figure that could only be described as perfect, not to mention the air of spirited confidence she carried, Zhang Ziwei was the very picture of a classic beauty. Though she might not stand out quite as distinctly as Lin Aoxue, Qin Yueran, or Xue Ruyun, she was absolutely a remarkable woman in her own right.

At that moment, Su Rui could only sense that Zhang Ziwei was watching him, but had no idea what was going through her mind. Taking in the sight of her bare shoulder, he teased lightly, “Your figure is actually better than I imagined.”

Hearing those words, Zhang Ziwei could no longer meet his gaze and buried her flushed face against Su Rui’s chest.

In fact, Zhang Ziwei’s original dress had already been stained with Yamamoto Gokusen’s blood on the plane, so this one had been bought just before boarding the ship. The sound of rushing water soon came from the bathroom. With the woman bathing inside, Su Rui had no improper thoughts. His brow was lightly furrowed. He only hoped that today’s events wouldn’t leave too deep a mark on Zhang Ziwei. Although nothing had ultimately happened, any woman who went through something like this would carry the shadow of it for a long time.

The water ran for a long while. Clearly, Zhang Ziwei was willing to waste the ship’s fresh water to scrub away every last trace. Just having her arms grabbed a few times was, in her eyes, already something unbearably filthy.
