Chapter 382
by 林方方Chapter 382 Your Ambitions Are No Small Thing!
Before this, Wanyan Zhengyong never thought the Azure Dragon Gang would be such a tough nut to crack. With the Yuanwei Gang’s formidable combat strength, even three Azure Dragon Gangs combined could be swallowed up in one bite!
But just before the big battle, a person appeared out of nowhere and single-handedly crushed forty-four of Beitang’s elite fighters — including powerhouses like the “Beitang Four Tigers,” who even ranked among the top within the Yuanwei Gang!
Su Rui not only killed several of them, but also shattered the survivors’ confidence, turning them against each other and driving a wedge between them — they could never be used by the Azure Dragon Gang again for the rest of their lives!
Therefore, if Wanyan Zhengyong wanted to defeat the Azure Dragon Gang, he had to either subdue or eliminate Su Rui before the battle began. Otherwise, this young man of boundless potential would become the greatest wild card in the Yuanwei Gang’s century-long plan!
After personally laying out the assassination plan, Wanyan Zhengyong was still uneasy, and even went so far as to expose his own identity, showing up in person alongside Tian Bingyi. All of this was simply to leave nothing to chance!
With all these layers of preparation in place, Wanyan Zhengyong was confident that Su Rui couldn’t escape even if he had wings!
For this young man, the midnight movie theater had already become a death trap with no way out!
The only somewhat unexpected thing was that there was a pretty girl by Su Rui’s side. But for Wanyan Zhengyong — the leader of the Yuanwei Gang, a man who had fought in the underground world for so many years and risen to where he stood today — one extra life added to the equation meant nothing at all.
This wasn’t because he was cold-blooded and heartless. It was because the environment of the northern underground world demanded that his heart be as firm as a rock!
Showing mercy to your enemies is the greatest cruelty you can inflict upon yourself!
Back when Wanyan Zhengyong was still relatively young and had just set foot in the underground world, he once personally led a group to kill an enemy from a rival gang. To prevent word from leaking out afterward, he had — by his own standards at the time — been ruthless enough to kill the enemy’s brothers, wife, and parents. Yet he spared one eleven-year-old girl.
At the time, he couldn’t bring himself to do it. The sins of the father shouldn’t fall on the innocent, and calamity shouldn’t reach wives and children. He had already wiped out the entire family of his enemy — if he cut this little girl down with his blade as well, wouldn’t that be going too far? Wouldn’t heaven strike him down for something like that?
Not only did Wanyan Zhengyong spare the girl, he even had someone send her back to her relatives in the countryside. By today’s standards, everyone would say this was something utterly impossible to imagine happening with Wanyan Zhengyong.
But the series of events that followed proved that Wanyan Zhengyong’s moment of weakness had indeed led to a grave mistake!
When the enemy’s gang learned that the entire family had been killed but one little girl had survived, they immediately went to the countryside, brought the girl back, had her disguise herself, and stationed her on the street every day to search for the killers.
Finally, a month later, one of the brothers who had acted alongside Wanyan Zhengyong was exposed and recognized by the girl. When she pointed at him and screamed, several small vendors nearby — also in disguise — suddenly pulled out cleavers from beneath their stalls and surrounded the identified man, hacking him to death on the spot!
In that era, the underground world across the three northern provinces was still fairly chaotic. Incidents of street hacking between gangs happened frequently. Afterward, everyone would scatter like birds and beasts. The police’s investigative methods back then weren’t particularly sophisticated, and there was no surveillance equipment whatsoever — even if they wanted to make arrests, there was no evidence. This gave those gangs an incredibly brazen way of operating. On top of that, the brothers making their way in the north all had fiery tempers and would come to blows at the slightest disagreement, creating a period of widespread disorder. It wasn’t until the past twenty or so years that things gradually began to improve.
And the man who was hacked to death on the street was Wanyan Zhengyong’s closest brother!
It was precisely because of this that from then on, Wanyan Zhengyong became even more ruthless and cold-hearted — or perhaps more accurately, even more responsible for his own life — and he would never let anyone who posed a threat to him off the hook!
And Su Rui had undeniably affected the Yuanwei Gang’s century-long plan to a significant degree. Wanyan Zhengyong naturally couldn’t allow him to keep growing!
Already so terrifying at just over twenty years old — if he were truly given another twenty years, no one could say what heights this young man might reach!
When it came to Su Rui, Wanyan Zhengyong was absolutely determined to kill him. If he couldn’t be a friend, he had to be treated as an enemy. His logic was just that simple!
And in the process, taking Lin Aoxue out as well didn’t seem like too difficult a thing to manage!
Yet the scene before him was truly a far, far cry from what Wanyan Zhengyong had imagined!
He had already made up his mind to kill, and had set a trap designed for exactly that purpose — so why did the two young people across from him show not the slightest awareness that they were about to die?
Wanyan Zhengyong found this quite difficult to read. Were they simply too calm, or was he coming across as too gentle?
Tian Bingyi also shook his head. If Su Rui and Lin Aoxue had taken the initiative to fight, then engaging them would have made some sense. But the other side was completely ignoring them — how was he supposed to make a move under these circumstances?
Maybe when he finally did strike, Su Rui would shout out: “Hold on, let me finish groping her butt first!”
The moment that image crossed his mind, Tian Bingyi suddenly had the urge to turn around and walk away!
Just what kind of freak was this young man?
This was a killing — a killing! Could they not be even a little bit serious?
Now let’s bring the camera back to Su Rui and Lin Aoxue. Su Rui’s hands were wrapped around Lin Aoxue’s slender waist, and they weren’t behaving themselves — his fingers were hovering eagerly at the edge of her backside.
To be honest, the sensation from that slap just now had been absolutely incredible. If there were a four-character idiom to describe how Su Rui felt about the young Miss Lin’s rear end, it would be this — he couldn’t bear to let go!
“Remember, if you dare bite me again, I’ll keep spanking you.” Su Rui’s ten fingers were tracing back and forth along the area below Lin Aoxue’s waist and above her backside, leaving her feeling weak and tingly all over.
But upon hearing Su Rui’s words, Lin Aoxue — whose body had barely any strength left — actually wrapped her arms around his neck, rose up on her tiptoes again, and bit down hard on his shoulder once more!
“What the — you actually bit me again!”
Su Rui hadn’t expected Lin Aoxue to follow through so quickly. Without hesitation, he raised both hands and delivered more than ten rapid slaps across both sides of her backside!
“Heh, feels good, doesn’t it? I know you like me spanking you — I’ll just do it more often from now on. Is that so hard?” Su Rui pinched Lin Aoxue’s cheek as he spoke, savoring the sensation from moments ago.
Truth be told, he had only intended to give her one slap. But the feeling upon contact was so extraordinary that he couldn’t stop himself, and ended up going at it more than ten times in a row.
Those ten-plus slaps nearly brought Lin Aoxue to tears!
No — it wasn’t just Lin Aoxue who was on the verge of tears. Wanyan Zhengyong and Tian Bingyi, standing more than ten meters away, were close to crying too!
What on earth were these two doing? Could they not be even slightly serious?
Wanyan Zhengyong’s face was covered in dark lines. This was the most absurd thing he had encountered in all his decades of life — absolutely, without question, number one!
If Su Rui weren’t someone he was absolutely determined to kill, this leader of the Yuanwei Gang would have turned and walked away on the spot, abandoned the assassination plan entirely, and never had anything to do with Su Rui again for the rest of his days!
…………
“Why aren’t you saying anything?” Su Rui looked at Lin Aoxue’s flushed red face and couldn’t help pinching it again.
“It hurts too much.” Lin Aoxue’s voice was barely above a whisper, almost inaudible.
Who could have imagined that the ice-cold beauty CEO — always so lofty and aloof — would one day reveal such a soft, girlish side?
“Then next time I can go a little easier.” Su Rui was still thinking about doing it again.
“No more spanking next time.” Lin Aoxue’s face was full of shy embarrassment, though she didn’t seem particularly angry. Under normal circumstances, this woman would have already driven her knee straight into Su Rui’s abdomen!
“Are you two done flirting?”
Wanyan Zhengyong had finally seen enough and spoke up coldly.
Su Rui only then lifted his head, looking at Wanyan Zhengyong with a face full of mockery. “Even if you didn’t wait for me to finish flirting, you could have made your move.”
Su Rui’s gaze swept across the faces of Wanyan Zhengyong and Tian Bingyi, and he laughed coldly. “If I were you two, I would have picked up a machine gun five minutes ago and turned my opponent into a sieve. And yet here you are, waiting for the other side to finish flirting. A fight is a fight, life and death is life and death — what’s all this talk about decorum?”
When it came to a sharp tongue, how could Wanyan Zhengyong possibly be a match for Su Rui?
Su Rui was practically lecturing the two top figures of the Yuanwei Gang on how to fight and how to conduct themselves!
Wanyan Zhengyong’s face barely concealed his anger, and even Tian Bingyi’s good temper had reached its limit. He was now itching to find a needle and thread to sew Su Rui’s mouth shut!
“You don’t even understand something this basic — after living all those years, did you spend them all as a dog?”
Su Rui’s words were utterly merciless. It wasn’t just excessive — it was a blatant slap in the face!
Wanyan Zhengyong shook his head. He prided himself on having cultivated his temperament over so many years, believing he had reached a point where he wouldn’t easily lose his temper. Yet Su Rui’s few brief words had completely ignited his fury.
He now needed to completely overturn his earlier assessment of Su Rui. Thinking back to how, just over ten minutes ago, he had considered recruiting this person — he must have had his head kicked by a donkey!
Su Rui looked at the two pillars of the Yuanwei Gang, a cold smile playing at the corner of his mouth. “Not long ago, I made a bet with Yan Kaida, the young leader of the Desert Wolf Gang — a bet on whether I’d get beaten down by them. I won.”
“So what?” Wanyan Zhengyong had no intention of being led around by the nose by Su Rui again.
“How about we make a bet too?” Su Rui smiled faintly, looking perfectly calm, as though the imminent assassination attempt was of no concern to him whatsoever.
“I’m not interested.”
Having been provoked by Su Rui to the point of no return, Wanyan Zhengyong said coldly, “Bet or no bet, you are going to die tonight without question. I will use your blood to pay tribute to the brothers of Beitang who have fallen.”
“Move in!”
The moment Wanyan Zhengyong’s words fell, both doors of the screening room were flung open simultaneously, and a massive crowd of Yuanwei Gang members surged in from outside — well over a hundred of them!
These men weren’t carrying the usual cleavers and steel pipes. Instead, every single one of them held a gun!
More than a hundred dark muzzles all snapped into alignment, aimed squarely at the heads of Su Rui and Lin Aoxue!
The moment Wanyan Zhengyong gave the order, the young couple who had been wrapped up in each other just moments ago would instantly be turned into a sieve!
Su Rui swept his gaze around the room, and the cold light in his eyes suddenly erupted. “You actually brought this many guns — Wanyan Zhengyong, the Yuanwei Gang has some very big ambitions!”
