Chapter 1401

"This is our joint effort. Without your assistance, I wouldn’t have succeeded."
Hearing Ling Qianxue’s words, Su Yi nodded eagerly, his eyes filled with guilt as he softly replied.
"If I had known that you would transform into such a large shadow, consume so much energy, and become so weak, I would never have let you take such a risk."
Ling Qianxue weakly smiled and said, her face still devoid of any color, her eyes shimmering.
"That’s not my true form. It’s just the effect of the spell. According to the elders of our clan, that is our ancestral spirit cat, Ling Lanyin, who created this secret technique. But because this spell is ancient and complicated, and I am just a remnant soul, I become this weak after casting it."
Su Yi suddenly realized, remembering the snow-white giant cat from earlier, massive in size and ancient in aura, as if it had come from ancient times. It definitely didn’t seem like a combat skill that currently existing individuals could possess.
"How are you feeling now?" Su Yi asked, his gaze burning with concern.
"I just feel a bit tired, Su Yi. You’ll have to go on ahead on your own, I might need some time to recover."
Su Yi felt a chill in his heart, wondering if Ling Qianxue was going to fall into a deep sleep again, just like last time.
During this time, even though Ling Qianxue didn’t lend him her powers, she still helped Su Yi a lot through her experienced guidance.
Over time, Su Yi had gotten used to having this little cat sprite living inside him, always there to chat with and tell him what to do in times of danger.
Now, Ling Qianxue was going to fall asleep again, and Su Yi felt a sudden emptiness in his heart. But he knew there was nothing he could do, and he was just grateful that Ling Qianxue’s spirit wasn’t being excessively drained.
"Alright, you rest well. I’ll take care of the rest of the journey for you. Qianxue? Qianxue?"
Before he could finish speaking, Su Yi noticed that Ling Qianxue’s soul had already fallen asleep. He fell silent immediately.
This time, Su Yi could clearly see Ling Qianxue sleeping inside his own soul. She looked delicate and pitiful, with a touch of serenity and elegance. Her breath was calm and tranquil, as if she had entered a sweet dreamland.
There was no trace of the former mighty Demon Emperor in Ling Qianxue anymore. Su Yi couldn’t help but shake his head helplessly.
"Being able to see her is the greatest luck!" Su Yi comforted himself, then left the sea of his heart feeling empty, regaining his consciousness.
Looking into the distance, Su Yi saw colorful clouds swirling around, with a magical aura filling the surroundings. Yang Ming followed closely behind.
After stretching his limbs, Su Yi took a deep breath and opened his eyes again, filled with excitement.
Looking closely, they saw a gigantic canyon before them. White mist drifted between the mountains, creating a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere.
From the middle of the canyon, clouds and mist overflowed, covering the slopes and enveloping the entire gorge in a soft, flowing veil.
The deep yellow soil and the beautifully arranged mountain peaks were now hidden in the mist, making it impossible to see anything clearly.
Inside the canyon, ancient trees towered above, and birds sang melodiously. Sometimes, the thick foliage blocked the sunlight, and one could faintly hear the sound of flowing water and cascading waterfalls.
After a while, the bright daylight swiftly disappeared, replaced by the deep colors of dusk.
Before they could fully savor the beauty, the light inside the canyon quickly dimmed, and the sunset painted the sky with colorful hues.
Yang Ming raised an eyebrow, showing caution and a sense of foreboding.
"The scenery here is very strange. How come it gets dark all of a sudden, and then it’s bright again?"
Su Yi was also very surprised. When he looked further ahead, just like what Ling Qianxue said, the entrance to the giant woods was right behind them. It turned out that after all the running around, they hadn’t moved an inch!
"It’s an amazingly astonishing illusion. I never noticed it before."
Su Yi pondered silently. The voices he had heard earlier should have been coming from within the valley.
With the naked eye, one could see the stars and moon moving, the strange peaks changing, and the majestic and treacherous landscapes within the valley transforming along with the morning glow, with colorful clouds bathing in the sunlight and dazzling colors filling the sky.
The valley entrance ahead appeared faintly, mysterious and beautiful. An enchanting aura surged into the sky, painting the heavens like an ink-drenched watercolor.
"The place where the great monster appears should be right in front of us. Let’s go check it out!" Su Yi thought for a moment, his energy soaring as he swiftly entered the valley with Yang Ming.
Flying in the air, the entire valley unfolded like a scroll, with mountains rising and falling.
The mountains on both sides converged towards the middle, forming an immensely large and long gorge. It seemed like the mouth of a pot where the mountain ranges converged.
The road between the canyon was winding and twisting. Once they passed through the narrow passage, the inside of the canyon was very wide, and springs gushed out like flowing silver and jade.
The sky and earth were vast, filled with mist and clouds. There were majestic mountains and beautiful waters, with cliffs and precipices.
Su Yi and Yang Ming stood high on the mountaintop, overlooking the panoramic view. The wispy clouds seemed within reach.
The whole view of the canyon lay before their eyes. The mountain ranges on the east and west sides undulated, gradually rising from south to north. The mountain passes were connected, resembling a mighty flying dragon, full of power and grandeur.
The middle of the valley had steep cliffs and broken mountains, resembling two enormous cat-like monsters lying horizontally. They stood tall and spectacular, a magnificent sight.
Before long, nightfall arrived. The white mist quickly gathered together again inside the canyon. Amidst the light of the sky, a drizzle of misty rain fell, accompanied by a pervading sense of eeriness.
"It’s quite strange, Yang Ming. This place is filled with an eerie atmosphere. You should feel it more directly. Try to sense if there are any signs of people nearby."
"Yes!" Yang Ming replied respectfully and took a few steps forward.
Suddenly, Yang Ming’s whole body emanated a tremendous demonic energy. From his forehead, a golden glow mixed with this energy shot up into the sky, sweeping across the entire canyon.
"Boom!"
The silhouette of a white giant python appeared and disappeared, with its mouth opening and closing, very scary.
Like the eyes of a snake drilling, gradually rising into the sky, patrolling the entire canyon, occasionally making a "hissing" sound.
Suddenly, the vague atmosphere between heaven and earth began to descend slowly. It could be clearly felt that a monstrous demonic aura filled the air.
Along with faint energy fluctuations, and the interaction with Yang Ming’s demonic aura, an invisible pressure quickly rose from Yang Ming’s body.
After a while, Yang Ming’s eyes lit up again. Pointing at the faint purple mist rising from the mouth of the valley full of demonic aura, he exclaimed in shock.
"Found it, master, over there! The demonic aura is the strongest, and there is a human scent mixed in."
Su Yi’s vitality surged, focusing his gaze. Sure enough, there was an overwhelming demonic aura there, faintly emitting a rapidly spreading pressure.
"Let’s go!"
Su Yi and Yang Ming felt a burst of energy under their feet, instantly turning into a flash of electricity. Like a ball of light, one red and one white, they swiftly flew towards the purple enchantment.
